The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 115

Chloe sat, her head tilted to one side as she listened to Liane, both visions repeating in her mind on a constant loop. Nothing was clear, and she could not help but feel frustrated that she could not get a clear indication on what they should do.

“It will only become clear once you decide.” Sheba whispered to her.

“What do you think we should do Sheba.” Chloe asked her wolf.

“Caesar said to listen to her, then all of us decided as a team, I agree with our mate, he is wise.”

Chloe internally nodded her head at her wolf, as Zander spoke to Liane once more.

“So, Liane, I want you to run through that again.” He requested.

Liane, nodded, then began again with the plans that she knew of, this was the third time of informing them, and although she knew it was to test her, or catch her out in a lie, she could not help but hope that they would find in her favour.

“They have been gathering rogues, the criminal type, they will attack Silver Moon pack. They think that everyone will rush to aid the new pack, and they feel it is the weakest as it is run by a former beta.”

Once more Robin let out a low growl, not happy that they underestimated his strength and position as an Alpha.

“They will then attack the Silverback pack, whilst the warriors are helping Silvermoon. Their thoughts are that Alpha Joshua will keep his human mate there, feeling it is safer. That they will be able to kill her, and her human pup, thus weakening him, then attack him. They believe once Alpha Josh, and Luna Nicki are killed, this will weaken the future King and Queen, and give them the best chance of defeating you all. Only after Alpha Josh, and Luna Nicki are killed, they will then gather and move on The Crescent Moon pack, at this point they will be joined by Berwick, Jorvick, Tynedale, and Skye packs. Tynedale will attack Wearside Pack, Skye pack will attack Ronsay and Shetland packs. Also, the council members who are on their side will form an attack on those that support the crown. That is their plan. Berwick will join with Jorvick and Ullswater, and the rogues to attack this pack. I do not know what they plan for Northumberland pack.” Liane reiterated.

“What were you supposed to do?” Chloe asked once more.

“I was supposed to remain in Silvermoon pack, and distract Delphine and Issac, getting them away from the pack, as they feel Delphine is a huge risk, after seeing her fight at the games. To make sure they are far away from the attack.” Liane stated.

“I was to lead them out into the no mans land south of here, stating that I found some omegas, that needed help, and there, they would attack them, being overpowered, they would be killed.” Liane stated.

“So, they are frightened of my beta and head warrior, yet do not count me much of a threat because I was a beta before I turned Alpha?” Robin hissed at the stupidity of it all, unable to not be offended by their dismissal of him.

“They are more scared of the Colton Alpha’s, they know you are still a threat Alpha, but you are the lesser of three evils, so to speak.” Liane said, she knew the Alpha was more than a little offended.

“Plus, Silverback pack, is the furthest away, and takes the longest to get to, so when the attack happens, they have a window of opportunity whilst back up arrives.” Liane pointed out.

“I know you do not trust me, and I understand why. But just so you know, I could have teleported out of here, any time I liked. I chose to stay.” Liane said.

“Yes, but did you choose to stay to feed us false information? To make your claims more believable.” Lacey pondered out loud.

“Only you can decide that. I am at your mercy, I will not teleport again, I will not use that side of my DNA again.” Liane shrugged.

Chloe stood up, nodding her head.

“You have given us much to consider, we will get back to you.” She announced, and the guards arrived taking Liane back to the holding cell.

Zander sat behind his desk in his office, taking hold of Chloe and sitting her on his lap, he could feel her frustration coming off her in waves.

“Calm down my princess, we will get to the bottom of all of this and make our plans.” Zander whispered into her ear.

Chloe nuzzled closer to him, taking in his comforting scent, her mind still playing both visions on repeat. She knew the decision they would make here was of paramount importance, it felt like victory or defeat hinged on what was decided here.

“Okay, so first off do we believe her?” Nicki asked with a sigh.

“I did not pick up any deception, however, we cannot rule out the fact that she said she is able to use witchcraft, which could have blocked my gift. But again, I did not feel any surge of power either.” Faith informed them all.

“I was the same, however, I do feel to believe this account 100 percent would be folly. Even if she is not deceiving us, she could have been fed false information. Especially if they worked out, she was going to switch sides.” Chloe added.

“Do either of your visions include the church?” Josh asked.

“No, they are both at the packs.” Chloe confirmed with him.

“Then I propose the first decision is that Nicki, the omegas, and the pups all take refuge in the Church if Ted the Vicar agrees with us. We know that is consecrated ground, and therefore is immune to the effects of witchcraft, which I feel is the safest place for those who cannot defend themselves, even safer than the safe rooms.” Josh sighed out.

“I am not going, my place is beside you Josh, I am the Luna, human or not, I will not run away and hide.” Nicki said, determination in her features.

Josh shook his head.

“No Nicki, you will go to the church and help look after everyone we send there.” Josh disagreed with his mate.

“Nope, not happening.” Nicki argued back.

“Froggy, you have to be safe, I cannot fight, if you are in danger.” Josh sighed out in frustration.

“I can defend myself. After all, you have been training me on how to fight wolves as a human.” Nicki crossed her arms over her chest.

“You have not trained for weeks and weeks, since you fell pregnant with Hannah, sorry Nicki but this is too dangerous.” Josh all but shouted.

Anger flashed in Nicki’s eyes, her mate had never raised his voice to her, and she was determined to fight for what she wanted, irrespective of his orders to the contrary.

“Guys, stop, this is not the time for this discussion or argument.” Zander ordered, staring down both his brother and sister-in-law. Although he 100% agreed with his brother, he knew to argue with Nicki at this moment was pointless, they could deal with her protection after they make the other plans.

“Actually, I think you should listen to Nicki, remember the last time you both decided it was too dangerous for us to be with you, we ended up getting into a fight with a werewolf at the school. It is dangerous for us to be apart from our mate. However, I do think we need to work out the other stuff before we all discuss this.” Chloe added, to appease Zander.

Josh let out a sigh of frustration, as Nicki turned her back on him, obviously unhappy that he wanted to send her away. He reached out to her, trying to hold her hand, but she pulled it away. Jerry let out a low growl, as he tried again.

“Come on little froggy, don’t be mad, you are my everything, I just want to protect you and our baby.” He whispered softly at her.

Nicki let out a long breath, then let her mate hold her hand, although she was still mad, she could not resist his touch for long, so it was pointless trying to keep hold of her anger.

“We do not know the plans for Northumberland pack, so why don’t we start there?” Robin suggested.

“I agree, I think we should tell all of our allies what we know, and what we have decided.” Zander nodded his agreement.

Chloe, closed her eyes, seeing again the visions as they flicked back and forth, then opening her eyes she stated.

“In the vision where we look as if we win, we are in Silverback pack.” Chloe shared with the group.

Faith nodded her head at her Luna.

“With that, then we need to accept Liane’s words as true.” Faith stated.

“Yes.” Chloe whispered.

“With the caveat of having extra precautions just in case.” Zander offered.

“Then what I suggest is, when the rogues attack Silver Moon, we do not rush to help, we find our way to Silverback pack, and strengthen their numbers. Do you think you can cope with the rogues alone Robin?” Zander asked.

“Yes, but I think we should ask Alpha Liam for help to secure Crescent moon pack, and to strengthen Wearside pack, ready for when Tynedale attack, them.” Robin suggested.

“This will leave his own pack vulnerable to attack, he may not agree.” Zander sighed.

“Or we can ask Alpha Harry and Luna Mary to gather their pack and take it to Northumberland.” Chloe suggested.

“That might work.” Josh nodded his approval.

The group began to come up with different decisions, for every scenario they could come up with. With each decision being made, Chloe’s visions became clearer, and she nodded her head in approval, as the best vision grew, and the other became less and less clear.

“I think we are on the right track. I also feel we should inform Hamish, and Martin that Skye will come for them.” Chloe sighed. She knew Hamish and Douglas’s pack were not fighters, neither was Martin and Pat’s pack, and wondered if they could get some help to them, she did not feel right leaving them to defend themselves against the Skye Pack. For all it was an Island pack, it was significantly larger, and had a bridge to the mainland, thus making the journey to the Orkney Isles, still long and arduous, but less so that if they had to arrive by boat.

“Even with all of our alliances, we are going to be spreading ourselves thin.” Zander sighed.

“Unless they all come here.” Nicki smiled.

“You know that is not a bad idea, then Skye will have made a journey for nothing, and it will strengthen our numbers here, where the main attack will take place.” Chloe grinned at her best friend.

“We also need to warn Peter.” Lacey added.

“Yes, but I do not want to put a call into the council, I do not trust their phone lines.” Zander pondered.

“I will go with Luke, it will be less suspicious, after all, we were the pack ambassadors.” Faith suggested.

“That would be very dangerous Faith.” Chloe looked at the woman who was as close to her now as Lacey and Nicki.

“But needs to be done. We are all in danger now, that cannot be avoided.” Faith shrugged.

“What about Ethan?” Chloe asked, concerned for the boy who was one of her best friends.

“My son is wiser than his years, he always understands. He is needed here, to help heal wolves.” Faith answered.

“We are building a hospital at Silvermoon, to act as an overflow for Andrew, I think we should hold off on all other buildings, and have that in working order as a matter of priority.” Lacey suggested.

“Agreed.” Chloe nodded.

“Now what do we do with Liane?” Nicki asked.

“Hannah said, Mercy triumphs over judgement. I say we offer mercy, then give her a choice. She said she wanted to avenge her real mother, let us see how she wants to help, or give her the option to go in peace.” Chloe sighed.

“But put a tracker on her if she decides the latter, just to be sure.” Robin agreed.

“Okay, well we have to pin down the finer points, but are we all in agreement?” Zander asked.

“Yes.” They all nodded together.

Chloe’s vision became clear in her mind, and with a sigh of relief she smiled at the others.

“I really believe that we have made the right choices.” She smiled, and everyone let out a long breath, pleased that they were on the correct path.
