Chapter 133

Elizabeth’s eyelids parted ways rather slowly before she let out a yawn and tried to turn or stretch but she noticed she found difficulty in doing that. Her hands and feet were bind together in an uncomfortable way, restricting her from doing so.

With her eyes darting around in panic, she noticed she was no longer in the ceremonial room but someplace strange and unfamiliar. The room itself small and completely dim. Only a ray of light was filtering in through the glass window.

“Where the hell am I? Where is Asher and every other person?” Beth asked herself as she tried pulling herself into a sitting position on the wooden bed she was placed on.

“What happened to me?” Beth asked confusingly and just then, memories from the previous night start to floor back into her mind and she let out a gasp.

The last thing she could remember was kicking Asher out of her room before the ceremony only to be confronted by his presence again, at least that was what she thought when she heard shuffling at the window seconds after he left.

Out of excitement, she thought Asher had come back again but little did she know it was who she had least expected. Her frown deepen as she recall the look in his eyes when she looked up and found him standing there.

For the moment she thought he was but a fragment of her imagination and then still frozen to the ground, he walked up to her and that was all she remembered before it all went black.

Beth knew for a fact that, if she was there confined to that room then Bradley must have taken and Asher and everyone else could be in danger. Fear gripped her as she thought about her son and Izzy and just about everyone she cared about.

She wasn’t really scared of her fate. If Bradley was going to have her killed then he would have done so already but the fact that he was holding her restricted scared her to no end.

Beth tried to pick on the binds but found that the ropes that were being used to tie her were strong and couldn’t be undone so easily. Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching the door of the room she was being kept in, causing her to jerk in fright.

Her heart beat kept increasing in rate as the heavy footsteps continued to approach even closer. It wasn’t long before The door handle squeezed open and he walked in. His sharp eyes narrowing back at her posture on the tiny bed.

“I can see you’re awake now. Sorry for the binding. I didn’t know what to expect given how long you have been living among those savages so I had to take precautions. Hope you don’t mind?”

“ Where am I?”

“ You are free, Lizzy and home now so I’m to cut those binds for you to feel relaxed, I mean no harm.” Bradley said and Beth couldn’t hide her shock.

Beth couldn’t help but let out a snort. “My name is Elizabeth and you don’t get to waltz back into my life after all this years and call me Lizzy as if you care and if you truly want me to be free and feel relaxed then you will let me go” Beth finally found her voice and spoke up and Bradley gave a sly smile.

“I heard you have a son with that animal, is that true?”

“Asher is more human than you would ever be and if you knew what is good for you then you will let me loose and out of here”

“Just like your mother. A f*****g whore and a betrayal” Bradley spat all of a sudden and Beth flinch slightly.

“At least she was a mother to me, unlike you? I never told you I was in danger Bradley, I never asked for you to save me.” Beth said boldly and Bradley couldn’t hide his shocked expression as he stood glaring at her, his hands clenched tightly into fist by his sides.

” How dare you call me by my name?”

“Where is Asher and the rest?” Beth asked, ignoring his questions

“You have really changed a lot, I don’t know what that monster did to you but I’m going to undo it.” Bradley muttered and Beth strained to hear him but couldn’t hear a word.

“You will stay here until that monster scent is off you, then we will talk like two reasonable people”

“No, you will let me out and let me go right now” Beth growled , getting really annoyed.

“How dare you talk to me like that?” Bradley barked and Beth smirked.

“I will say more if you don’t untie me this minute Bradley.” Beth said and he slapped her so hard on her cheeks that she tasted b***d in her mouth afterward.

“Keep that thing you call mouth shut and stop spewing rubbish. How dare you? Where did this stupid guts come from?” Bradley asked angrily.

“You can hit me again and prove to me you are the real monster everyone has been talking about but make no mistake., I will never see you as my father anymore. Take me back to Asher before the day runs out, our mating ceremony is taking place today and I don’t wish to be rescued from the man I love,” Beth said and Bradley grew more annoyed.

He is sure Beth has been bewitched and whatever they gave her to eat is really working well.

” I will make sure you never get to see him again even if it’s the last thing I do” Bradley promised and Beth laughed painfully. The ropes were hurting her delicate skin, she couldn’t even move well. She just kept moving and turning her head like a robot.

“You do know Asher will come for me right? And when he does you will be sorry you even took what was his because he will make you pay Bradley. Asher will make you pay even if it’s the last thing he does” Beth let out with a chuckle.

“Oh I’m terribly counting on it Lizzy. I hope he truly comes for you and I will make him pay for the pain he and his kind have ever caused me”
