“What did he ever did to you? Just what! You f*****g killed his pregnant mate and you stand here to talk about the pain he ever caused you? Are you ducks insane?” Elizabeth couldn’t help but yelled at him.

” You’re the real monster and I hate to think that at some point in my life I ever called you father!” Beth yelled angrily and Bradley let out a chuckle.

“You are no daughter of mine, Elizabeth. And what I did to that monster was nothing compared to what his uncle did to me”

Her eyes narrowed at his out burst.

*What are you talking about?”

The older man took a few steps closer, his eyes now fixed at the one seated before him but he made no attempt to touch her, instead he came to a pause before her, his head slightly tilted to the side to stare at the fading scar around her neck.

“You got marked already?”

She gave a shrug, “Asher is my mate so yes, we were going to make it official before you showed up and ruin it all so I’m warning you to take me back before its too late”

“You’re even dumber than your mother, Elizabeth, What can I say? The same b***d flows through you” He said mockingly and Elizabeth let out a warning snarl.

“Don’t you dare talk about my mother like that. She was everything you are not so don’t you dare call her dum_”

Her speech ended half way as Bradley was quick to grab her by the throat, choking her completely.

“I will talk about that traitor however way I want and until then you will keep your mouth shut if you want to walk out of here alive”

Before Beth could even struggle against him or say a word, he smashed her head against the wall and she lost consciousness.

He got back on his feet and retrieved his phone before texting an unknown number before walking out the door and securing the locks from outside once more.

**

Somewhere out on the road.

Asher got a message from an unknown number and from the instructions he knew exactly who it was from. It read.

*If you want her, follow the address’s and come get her. You have less than an hour before she is gone forever.* Lincoln.

Asher let out a growl as he read through the message for what seemed like a zillion times. Without being told, he knew he was probably walking into a trap that could cause him his life but was it worth it?

Few months ago, he would have gladly said no and even hopes she dies in the cruelest way ever but this was different. Elizabeth was worth more than anything he was risking and that included his own life.

Even if it was cost him his own life, he was going to do whatever it took to get her back alive. He owe it to himself and his late wife, Macy for history not to repeat itself.

From the location he had scanned during his device, Asher could tell Bradley was keeping her somewhere more isolated and he wasn’t just going to find her so easily unless he allows himself walked right into whatever trap he had put in place and waiting.

Stopping the vehicle at a safer distance, he positioned two of his men at the woods and mostly out of sight and with an instruction to abide to before he then walked into the house that matches the description in which Bradley had given.

The entrance door was thrown wide opened and he became really suspicious as his eyes continued to looked around carefully before going in.

He walked in slowly as if he was counting his steps, the house was as quiet as a graveyard and only the sound of his footsteps could be heard cracking through the floor.

**

“Beth…” Asher called almost in a whisper as he kept checking every room in the house.

He was very careful as he checked because he is pretty sure that Bradley was lurking around in a corner and waiting for him to make a wrong move but so far he was smart enough to stay out of sight, which could only mean he was also intimated by his presence.

“Is there anyone in this house or this was all but another one of your tricks?” Asher let out a growl as he checked the last room and found it to be just as empty.

When he got no reply but was met with the echoing of his own voice, Asher grew even more desperate as his eyes narrowed at the one door he was yet to approach.

Pulling out his short daggers, He opened it slowly and stealthily before wide enough for his eyes to widened in shock when he saw Elizabeth tied to a bed.

He threw his sword and rushed to her immediately.

“Elizabeth!” Asher called as he shook her but she never responded.

He checked her pulse and her breathing was normal which signifies nothing was wrong with her. Asher unties her immediately while calling out to her. From the fresh bruise on her head, Asher knew it was all thanks to Bradley but what he couldn’t help but wondered is why Bradley left her all alone in the house.

Asher felt every single hair on his neck standing on edge at the thought of that monster hurting his own daughter just to spite him but getting her home alive was more important at the moment.

Just as he was about to gather her frame into his arms and out the door, he was roughly hit by someone from behind causing him to g***n out in pain and then crash on the floor unconscious.
