Asher moved closer but Beth stepped backwards then paused, her lips twisting slightly.

“What’s the matter? Is everything okay with you?” Asher asked softly, studying Beth closely as he continued to advance towards her.

“Don’t tell me you broke in through the window?”

“Yes I did, I missed you badly and decided to come and check on you.” Asher said and Beth released a breath she never knew she had been holding in.

“You’re so unbelievable Asher, I got scared and thought it was some intruder.” Beth said.

Asher filled up the space between them and pulled her into his arms with a sigh escaping his own mouth.

“Even if it was the intruder, I will come to your rescue.?” Asher said with a chuckle before pulling away slightly to stare at Beth’s cute face.

“I am okay, just missing you and Sam. Have you seen him?”

“Yeah, Izzy is really taking good care of him.”

“I am relieved seeing you. I can’t still come to believe that we are finally getting married.” Beth said smiling widely and Asher kissed her smiling lips.

“Me neither.” Asher said as he stroked Beth’s hair before claiming her soft l*p in a passionate k**s once again.

“You should go now before you get seen.” Beth said pushing him to the window side.

“Please be fine” Asher said and kissed her on her lips again.

“I will, don’t just break in through the window again, it sounds like you committed a crime.”

“If I do that next time, what will you do?” Asher asked stubbornly

“I will k**s your lips so badly, get out of here.” Beth said, hitting him playfully

“Then I need to be breaking in every minute. You sound as if you’re indirectly telling me to stay.” Asher said and Beth pinched his arm.

“Ouch!”

“Get going now, I will see you at the ceremony in a minute.” Beth said, pushing Asher towards the window some more and he went reluctantly.

°° An hour later °°

Asher and Alex were being welcomed to the arena by some of the pack members as Music was being played by the women of the pack. They danced and sang happily as their Alpha and his beta walked in adorned in their ceremonial attires.

Asher looked very tense and couldn’t wait to see Beth as he kept smiling through the anxiety. It felt as though he was getting mated for the first time. With his beta walking steadily beside him, he walked over to the arch before settling on the spot designed for him.

Alex noticed the tension in his face as he looked at him.

“You should really calm down brother, you look so tense and it’s really obvious. Just relax your mind, your beautiful bride will be here soon enough.” Alex assured him and Asher sighed heavily.

After waiting for a few more minutes, someone else walked in. It was Asher’s brother Jax and his wife, they were the last person he expected to come as he didn’t even remember inviting him for the occasion.

“Look who we have here,” Alex whispered and Asher let out a growl, his fist totally clenched by his side angrily.

“Hey brother, long time no see,” Jax said smirking as he stood in front of Asher with a wide grin on his face.

“What are you doing here? Did you miss your way here, You’re not welcome,” Asher grounded out and Alex gave him a signal to calm down.

“You still won’t change, you’re still so rude as f**k! I should be the one annoyed for not being invited to your mating ceremony . How ungrateful! I honored you by coming for your ceremony and all you could say to me was this trash?” Jax ranted and Asher sneered back at him.

“Just leave! No one invited you here” Asher said and Alex squeezed his hands.

“Calm down Alpha, You can’t let his presence ruin your ceremony but don’t you dare give him the slightest chance. Just calm down and handle the matter maturely and wisely.” Alex whispered and that seemed to calm Asher down a bit.

Asher sighed and gave his brother a more relaxed once over,

“Go on brother, I’m still waiting for your apologies.” Jax said and Asher let out a chuckle.

“If you think I am going to beg or say a word of apology, you must really be out of your mind then. If that’s what you want, you can’t get it so kindly leave.” Asher said, trying to be lenient with his words.

Jax smirked, his wife held his hands and rubbed it soothingly.

“I shouldn’t take your words to heart cause I know you’re not in your right senses and besides, today is a happy occasion, let not ruin it with our difference” Jax said and Asher let out a snort.

The two brothers were still bantering words when Izzy rushed to where they were falling on her knees.

Alex seeing her demeanor became worried and rushed to her immediately.

“Izzy, Are you okay?”

Alex asked and Izzy shook her head negatively, she was still breathing heavily and couldn’t say anything at that moment. Alex leaned over and helped her back on her feet as she continued to take deep short breath.

“What’s the matter? Did anything go wrong?, where is Elizabeth” Asher asked, his eyes searching her face curiously.

Her l*p parted but she still couldn’t speak. At this point, Asher was no longer feeling very calm as his expression had morphed into one of confusion.

“Speak up, Izzy. What happened?” Alex had beaten him to ask again while he simply clenched his jaw tightly and await her reply. He was certainly becoming irritated by her shuttering.

“I’m sorry Alpha but I can’t find Beth, she is gone, she disappeared into the thin air.” Izzy dropped the bombshell shell.

For a moment, nothing happened. Asher simply stared with wide eyes without a single word said. One could wonder if he heard correctly or not.

But from the clenching of his fist and the color of his eyes that had become a little darker was confirmation that he has indeed heard those very words just like everyone else present.

“Are you sure about this?” Alex pressured.

“I went to check on her and found the door open but she wasn’t there. Elizabeth is really gone, Alex!” She said crying even more.

Asher got to the room and truly found the room to be empty with absolutely no sign of her and what more? Something else had caught his attention. That very familiar scent he has loathed and hunted for years lingers dangerously in the air.

Even though he knew the one who posses such scent might have been long gone, Asher was still on full alert as he advance further into the room but paused when his eyes caught a paper on the floor and he picked it immediately.

It was a note as there was some writing on it.

‘THI IS HOW MUCH FUN I’M WILLING TO LET YOU HAVE WITH MY DAUGHTER, DEMON BUT IF YOU STILL WANT HER, COME GET HER YOURSELF, I WOULD BE PATIENTLY WAITING” SINCERELY B.LINCOLN.
