“Just give me the chance to see her and ask for forgiveness, I have really wronged her and I would be at ease if she forgives me.”

“Okay, you can see her. Alex will go with you,” he said with a nod and Alex obeyed immediately.

“She must have decided to change as Beth guessed.” Asher thought as he watched them leave his sight.

Alex had a grime look in his eyes as he took her to Beth’s room and left so they could have space to talk freely.

Kara knocked softly on the door,

“Who is it?”

“It’s me Kara” She replied hesitantly and there was total silence after that before she heard footsteps heading towards the door and she took a step back and waited.

Beth opened the door slowly and was surprised to see Kara with a few of her bags.

“Can I come in?” Kara asked politely and Beth couldn’t help but narrowed her eyes further at her .

At the back of her mind, she wondered why Kara of all people is being polite to her?

“Sure… sure you can,” Beth stuttered and Kara walked in.

“I know you’re surprised by my new behavior and must be wondering why I came to see you, right?” Kara started, standing opposite Beth and she nodded in response.

“I came to say sorry for all the bad things I did to you. I spent my night yesterday thinking about my life and even though I hate to admit it, I thought of the best way to earn your forgiveness, I realized I had to apologize to you myself. I am truly sorry for the humiliation, the accusation, the pains and every other bad thing I did to you. I don’t know how else to ask for your forgiveness, just accept mine, it’s truly coming from my heart.” Kara said, as tears welled up in her eyes.

“Are you sure about this? I mean, I know how annoying you have being but I get it’s because you don’t like me very much but that doesn’t mean I would hold a grudge against you or not want to forgive you” Beth said and Kara nodded.

“I know but still I want you to forgive me”

“ Come here,” Beth called, widening her arms and Kara hugged her tightly.

“Thank you so much, your type is rare.” Kara said and broke the hug.

“Where are you going with your belongings?” Beth asked as she stared at the two bags kept beside her on the floor.

“I have decided to leave, I don’t fit in here anymore. I just want to go far away and start afresh keeping all your memories. Asher gave me his blessings and I thought of it being wise to also inform Luna of our pack.” Kara said and Beth eyes furrowed.

“What? you shouldn’t just leave now, you should stay with us.”

“I just want to,” Kara insisted and Beth sighed.

“Okay if you insist, I wish you all the best.” Beth said and Kara smiled.

“Thank you,”

Kara moved to Sam’s cot and smiled at him.

“You have a cute baby,” Kara said,

“You should take care of him very well and also take care of Asher. Don’t stop being brave and always remain strong no matter the situation you find yourself in. Goodbye,” Kara said and left.

“Good bye and take good care of yourself too.” Beth bade and sighed as Kara banged the door closed.

“She really changed and suddenly left? I still can’t believe it,” Beth said, falling back on the bed.

The door knob twisted open revealing Izzy.

“Hey! Good morning,” she greeted Beth, smiling widely.

“You look so bright this morning, tell me, what’s the secret?” Beth asked almost in a whisper and Izzy’s cheeks grew more red, she sat beside Beth on the bed.

“what’s up with Kara?” Izzy asked and Beth sighed.

“I saw her on my way here with her bags, she even greeted me. I was surprised and shocked,” Izzy added and Beth roughen her hair.

“I don’t know either, she came…” Izzy interrupted her immediately.

“Wait! Did she come to this room? Hope she didn’t constitute any form of nuisance? Or did our Alpha banish her?” Izzy asked numerous questions at a time and Beth smacked her head.

“Ouch! That hurts, what was that for?” Izzy asked to rub the affected area.

“What is wrong with you this morning? Hope you’re okay?” Beth asked, feeling her temperature and the latter skipped her hands off.

“Hey! I am not sick, I am just a curious child who is dying to get answers.”

“Then die!” Beth said playfully.

“You’re mean! Anyway, what happened to Kara?”

“That is a normal way to ask a question, I would answer you this time.” Beth said and Izzy scoffed.

“Kara actually came to ask for my forgiveness.” Beth said and Izzy gasped loudly.

“How did that happen? Did you hypnotize her or charm her?”

“I am as shocked as you are, we reconciled and we are good to go.”

“That’s so sudden, that proud bitch apologized and asked for your forgiveness? That’s really weird, maybe something went wrong with her head.” Izzy concluded, still doubting.

“That’s not all, she left the pack already.”

“What the hell! Hope that witch is not up to something? I don’t trust her a bit,”

“I don’t know if she has something up her sleeve but that’s not my concern. She left already and Asher already blessed her. I saw the truth in her eyes when she apologized and asked for my forgiveness, I think she was real. I don’t think she fooled, she just realized her mistakes after I won her yesterday.” Beth said and Izzy exhaled sharply.

“Let me just believe what you said, but I am kind of happy she left. I will feel at peace now, I am pretty sure the whole pack members are jubilating for joy.” Izzy said with a wide smile.

“You are always unserious. So, now that I have answered your question, can you tell me the reason why you’re looking brighter this morning?” Beth asked and Izzy’s cheeks turned red.

“I won’t tell you, you would tease me for the whole year.”

“That would be so unfair, you’re breaking your promise if you do that.” Beth said, pouting her cute lips.

“Okay fine! I and Alex… we did it last night.” Izzy stuttered shyly and Beth couldn’t get her statement.

“What did you guys do last night?” Beth asked cluelessly.

She suddenly gasped as her Medulla oblongata got Izzy’s statement.

“Really? You guys really has s*x last night? How was it, how did you feel?” Beth suddenly asked and Izzy pulled her hair so hard making her Yelp in pain.

“Must you let the world know about it? You sound like someone who has done it countless times.” Izzy said letting go of Beth’s hair.

“You’re so unbelievable at times.” Beth grumbled, arranging her hair.

“Back to what we were discussing, you must answer my questions because I answered your numerous questions too. Was it your first? Did you feel any pain at her? Did he go..”

Izzy immediately obstructed her from speaking further by stuffing the bed sheets inside her mouth.

“You should just keep shut! I made a huge mistake by letting you know,” Izzy muttered and Beth removed the bedsheet from her mouth laughing so hard.

“My sister is so shy!” Beth said as she laughed more.

For the first time in many months, Beth actually felt a sense of belonging among the pack. Right from the moment her mating ceremony with Asher was announced. The women of the pack have become more welcoming than before.

They even gave her a new name called Miwa. It’s a sign of acceptance and blessing upon her so she could be fruitful and bear more children for the Alpha.

Preparation for the ceremony was ongoing and it has been hectic that she barely saw Asher or have a lone time with him. More people have start to arrive in the pack on invitation, most of them brought gifts for the new about to be mated.

Asher and Beth were separated and both were to meet on the day of ceremony according to laws, tradition and customs. Beth couldn’t help but miss Asher and her baby most especially.

Sam was under the care of Izzy and she really hoped she would take good care of him till she would be present. Being separated from Asher has been unbearable. Even though it would be only a matter of time before they meet and become one, she still can’t help but feel restless.

With anxiety causing through her veins and wrapped in her ceremonial outfit, she heard sounds from the window side and her heart raced.

“Who is it?” Beth asked but no answer came instead the noise grew more louder and creepier.

Her heart began slamming wildly in her chest as she continued to back away from the window and the impending danger.

“What the hell?” Beth gasped as she stared at the window side and at the figure standing before her gaze.
