Chapter 126

“Why did this stupid wench come back? I thought she had gone for good?,” Kara thought with balled fist, her fist face twisting up in anger. The urge to tear Beth into pieces was fast growing in her chest but she knew better than to act on it, especially not with Asher and everyone else present.

Kara smirked and faced the crowd, “She is not qualified to challenge me since I already won the title so kindly send this thing out.” Kara yelled out in anger.

Majority of the crowd murmured among themselves and supported Kara but Beth felt less concerned, her focus now on Asher who looked like he has a different opinion.

“Come on, Alpha. Tell this wretched woman that she is not qualify” Kara encouraged, sounding desperate and pulling at Asher’s arm for his reaction.

“Yes Alpha, tell me I’m not qualify and I will leave and never return so come on, say it”

Asher said nothing as he just stood there with clenched fist, his hands completely balled by his sides but it wasn’t because he was angry. He seemed like a war was going on in his mind.

“I will fight Kara to the death and when I win, I will automatically become the Alpha female. I will claim Asher as my mate without any opposition from anyone.”

Kara took a step towards her and stood before her, “I will kill you and feed your carcass to the vultures. I hope you are ready to face what’s coming” Kara threatened.

“We will see about that, won’t we?” Beth said with a smirk before turning to face Asher, as everyone waited patiently for what he had to say.

“She is qualified to challenge Kara. This ceremony has come to an end, we will surely announce the day of the challenge. Everyone should disperse immediately,” Asher ordered and everyone was surprised at his decision but no one dared to oppose Asher so they began leaving one by one while murmuring under their breath.

Kara quickly closed the gap between she and Beth, “I promise to ruin and destroy you for this single act you have done even if it will cost me my life. I will f*****g kill you” Kara cussed angrily.

“Bring it on pathetic witch, I am more ready than you are. Rush to your apartment and get some water before you burst into flames.” Beth said mockingly.

Kara walked out angrily and Beth also walked back to her room without waiting for anyone.

Asher ran after her and caught up with her, he pulled her to himself and hugged her passionately.

He broke the hug and told her “You came back”

Beth interrupted Asher with a k**s, she locked lips with him for a moment.

She then broke it, Asher was shocked. A lot of things changed about her, she was being bold and he loved it.

“I couldn’t live alone in the city, I felt so bored and lonely. I felt like a total stranger in the city, I badly missed everyone here, especially you.” Beth paused and gulped so hard, she hopes she is not seen as a desperate person.

She just needs to confess the truth to Asher on how she feels for him even if he doesn’t feel the same way for her.

She continued her speech, “Leaving the pack made me realize how I hard i fell for you. I thought about you all day and missed everything about you all through the night. I couldn’t even take care of our son without you so I had to come back. I feel so ash…”

Asher shut her up with another k**s and she let out a gasp as she melt into the k**s, her legs starting to feel like jelly. Asher broke it after a while and stared affectionately at her.

“What does that mean?” Beth asked and Asher smiled at her. Her heart raced, what if he doesn’t feel the same way she feels for him? What if he calls her a desperate human who was lusting after him.

“I never thought I would fall for you Beth. I love you more than you ever imagined, I felt miserable and lonely without you. I was hurting and hoped you would come back, I am glad you actually did.” Asher said happily and Beth slapped him soundly.

He was shocked as he held his burning cheeks.

He was still waiting for an explanation when Beth slapped his second cheek, she wanted to keep hitting him but Asher held her hands.

“What are you doing Beth?” Asher yelled and Beth began crying loudly.

“So you loved me and you had the guts and effrontery to place an Alpha female challenge? Why didn’t come and look for me. You love me yet was going to be claimed by another. How could you do that?”

“I am sorry Beth, I had no other options. I thought maybe you were never going to come and it’s a must I get Luna being the Alpha of my pack.” Asher tried to explain Beth grew even more annoyed.

“Stop saying rubbish! Why must it even be Kara of all the women in the pack? Had It been I never came today, I would have lost you to that witch and become an object of mockery. Don’t talk to me for the rest of the day,” Beth ordered and walked away.

She wasn’t angry with him though she was hurt. She just wanted to punish him for making the dumbest decision ever. Deep down her mind, she was really happy that they loved each other.

Asher didn’t let her go this time, he rushed to her and caught her by the arms. He then pulled her swiftly to his chest and hugged her tightly to himself.

“Please forgive me, I regret taking that decision. I can’t bear it if you leave me this time. I love you a lot and I am ready to be together with you and my son. I am ready to make you mine, Elizabeth,” Asher said and Beth smiled.

She loved the way he called her full name, he made her feel very special.

“Let go of me, I’m still mad at you!” Beth said weakly and Asher pressed her harder to himself before letting her go. He was relieved when he saw her smiling.

“You are so stubborn Asher, you loved me and you let me go. I left because I doubted my feelings for you,” Beth stated truly.

“I wanted to make you happy, I thought going back to the city would make you happy. I wanted to see you smile,” Asher said and Beth blushed.

“Am I forgiven?”

“Not yet!” Beth replied with a silly face and Asher smiled cutely.

Izzy walked in that moment and coughed, she carried baby Sam in her arms, Beth and Asher disengaged from the hug. And Asher rushed and collected Sam from Izzy’s hands, he had missed him so much.

He ran his hands through his cute face and Sam held one of his fingers with his small pinky hands

“I am glad to have you back, daddy is going to stay with you forever and protect you. I love you so much Samuel,” Asher said affectionately and kissed him on the forehead.

Alex walked to where the trio stood and locked Beth in a warm embrace.

“I missed you so much,”

“Same here Alex,.” Beth said giggling, Alex hugged her tighter.

Asher stared at them, getting uncomfortable with the long hug. As if triggered by the same emotion, Asher and Izzy cleared their throats at the same time and that seems to bring Alex back to his senses and he quickly pulled away immediately.

“I’m sorry, I was just too happy for her return.” He said with a nervous chuckle before he moved to where Izzy was standing and intertwined her hand with his. An embarrassed blush appearing on her cheeks.

“Hey, hey, what’s going on, you two love birds?” Beth asked, looking at them closely.

“Yeah, I have decided to give love a chance.” Alex said, smiling at Izzy.

“Really now?” Beth asked with a knowing grin and Alex nodded while Asher simply pulled her overly curious self into his chest.

“Alex would have been a fool if he had let a woman as good as Izzy slip through his fingers” Asher let out and everyone chuckled.

“We would leave you two now. See you later Alpha” Alex said with a wink at Asher before turning to walk away with Izzy still by his side.

Beth mouthed some words to Izzy before they could walk away further.

“We still have a lot to talk about, you will have to tell me all the juicy details because I want to hear all of it”

“Okay, I will”

Beth watched them go before turning around to stare back at Asher, the smile she had going on, on her face quickly fading into that of confusion as her eyes narrowed back at the Alpha who was no longer smiling at this point.

“Hey, what’s wrong. Why are you frowning?”

“As the Alpha of this pack, I’m forbidding you from going against Kara in a duel. You are not fit for such so I’m telling you to back off, I can tell everyone you got sick and had to pull out”

“What?”
