Chapter 127

“What do you mean I’m forbidden from the challenge?”

“You heard me, Elizabeth. I’m not going to allow you go against Kara in a fight to prove a point. She will kill you and I won’t be able to do anything about it so I’m telling you now to back out while you still can”

With hands clenched tightly into fists by her side, her eyes not leaving his for a second, Beth took a step closer, her beast fuming inside of her.

“I will not back down from a fight with Kara and I don’t care if I die proving to her that you belong with me”

His eyes only widen a little fraction as he stared at the fierce look in her eyes but before he could say anything else to persuade her, Alex jumped in front of them, interrupting him altogether.

“Permission to train Beth for the fight against Kara?” He asked,

Asher only arched a brow at him before staring back at Elizabeth who didn’t look like she was about to back off from the fight regardless of anything he has to say to her.

“You don’t have to, Alex!”

“ But Asher. This is her choice, you can’t take that from her. If she wants to then let me train her for it”

“ That won’t be necessary because I would train Elizabeth myself”

“What?” Alex and Beth croaked at the same time.

“ Her training start in the evenings, she needs to rest now.” Asher said and walked away immediately.

Beth was only frozen for a moment before she snapped out of it and went running after the Alpha, a huge grin spreading her face just as widely.

She caught up with him at the door before he opened and both went in closing the door behind.

Asher placed his son in his cot who was asleep already.

He then sat on the bed, Beth sat beside him and hugged him tightly.

“Thank you for doing this”

“ I’m not doing this for you” He stated with a frown.

“oh, really? Could you tell me why you are offering to train me then?” She questioned with a single brow raised at him.

Asher turned on his butt to stare at her face, his eyes narrowing into slit.

“ I’m doing this for my son because I don’t want him to grow up without his mother plus, I’m doing this for me too. I won’t be able to survive it if I loose you again” Asher said and pulled her to himself and kissed her deeply.

Beth responded almost immediately as she let herself melt completely into the k**s. The way he nimble on her lips spoke of a hunger that was from deep within as they both kissed hungrily and filled with a lot of emotions.

Asher broke the k**s after a while and stared at her beautiful face, “I missed doing this, I missed your lips.” Asher said, caressing her cheeks softly.

“Me too,” Beth said brushing her lips against his once more before inhaling his scent into her lungs deeply.

“You should rest now, you remember you have to train with this evening.” Asher said as he carried her in a bridal style and placed her properly on the bed.

“Thanks,” Beth appreciated.

“I will be back to check on you both.” Asher said and was about to leave but Beth pulled him back to sit.

“Asher,” she called softly and he looked up immediately.

“Thank you for doing this, really”

Asher smiled and kissed her shortly on her lips

Later that evening

“You should attack with vigor and smartness. You should know Kara is not a piece of cake, she is a hard nut to crack. Kara has been fighting all her life and she is more experienced than you. Your best chance is to either make her tap out or choke her to sleep in order to win.” Asher said and Beth listened attentively.

They were on an empty large field, Beth was clothed in a short combat short and boots as she was getting ready for her training.

“Now attack!” Asher ordered and the fight began. From all his instructions, he expect her to do well and indeed she did.

“You have a natural talent but you lack the information needed when fighting against one of our kind” He stated after knocking her to the ground.

Asher was a pretty decent instructor, constantly pointing out weakness that she should aim for and strength she should fall back on when going against Kara, obviously she is more powerful than herself.

“Many wolves will shift during a fight. We are stronger in our beast form as it gives us more focus. Sometimes you can shift only part of yourself. If only to focus the strength in a specific way but that takes great concentration and even greater skill. In either case, to aim for the kill, you want to go for the brain as you know or the heart” Asher placed a fist on his chest above his own heart.

“Stab it, Remove it, destroy it. It’s an instant win. If you try to just win by submission or knocking the other person unconscious, it’s much more risky on your part”.

Asher lifted his hand waving her to come after him. She did so, feeling a bit silly but determined and promptly was knocked to the ground again.

“You would also want to take your fight by surprise. You’re weak like a human. Kara would no doubt make a meal out of you. Your only advantage would probably be to act weaker and slower, to make her lower her guard” Asher instructed firmly.

She pushed herself back up and lunged at him again. Without flinching, Asher swung his arm back and blocked hers roughly and quickly leaped back then he grasp the hand he had back, twisting her around and swiping his leg under hers until she found herself slammed into the ground solidly.

She tried to reach back up but Asher grasp her wrist and pinned it back to her chest before he lifted a partially shifted hand, threateningly, aiming to strike her throat.

“Dead” Asher stated dangerously.

“Aw, come on” She moved to attack him and he shoved her back on the ground then sat down in front of her. Beth frowned , less impressed with how much she is loosing against him.

“Are you teaching me or humiliating me” She g*****d with a pout unhappily.

“I’m trying to save you and I realized for you to win this, you need to learn how to shift partially. It would be to your advantage. Kara doesn’t know you are one of us so come on”

Her eyes widen, “Do I have to do this? “

“If you want to win then yes, you must “

“Okay”

“Do you believe I can beat Kara in the fight?” Beth asked curiously and Asher sighed.
