Chapter 119

“I’m leaving? Tomorrow?,” Beth asked uncertainly, not sure if she heard correctly or not but the look in his eyes told her she had.

“I already made arrangement so start getting your things ready, you would be leaving by first dawn.” Asher said faking a smile.

“Oh? Okay. I mean, Thank you so much Asher, you don’t how much I’ve longed for this very moment” Beth said with a hint of and smile and Asher nodded. He didn’t know exactly what he was expecting but seeing how happy she was, he couldn’t help but swallow back his own word.

Letting her go was the best decision and he was not about to be sad about it now. Although it’s hard to give up the family he has come to have even though he never wished for it, he still can’t help but give iy all up.

Alex was right. Elizabeth deserve to choose and she has.

“I’ve gotten everything ready, the house you would be staying and also a credit card for you so you will lack nothing or have need to work. It contains a huge amount of money, so spend as much as you want and take good care of yourself and my son.” Asher explained as he handed her the credit card which she received reluctantly.

“I, uhm, I don’t know what to say Asher”

“Then don’t say anything. I’m the one who has a lot to say you and I hope it would be enough to repair the damages I have caused for” Asher said as he stared at her in the eyes.

“I want to use this medium to ask for your forgiveness Elizabeth.” Asher paused as he took hold of her hand, causing her to let out a gasp.

“I know how horrible I have being to you and I can’t use the death of my mate to justify my actions towards you as it had nothing to do with you. You didn’t deserve all I did and said to you and I’m ashamed of how long it took me to realize all of it. You are sweet, kind and courageous. Absolutely nothing like that monster you called your father”

“I let my anger and all he did to me and my kind blind me from seeing all that you are, Elizabeth. Please, find a place in your heart to forgive me for all the wrongs, the pains, the tears and torture I made you go through and for hurting your feelings too many times as well. For holding you captive for almost a year. I hope you can forgive me for being_”

His words were left mid sentence as Beth who couldn’t keep her emotions in check anymore had shut him up with a k**s as tears flowed freely from her eyes.

Asher was surprised but pulled her to himself and kissed her deeply as tears were gathered in his eyes as well. He didn’t think she would forgive him so easily, not even for apologizing. He sure as hell didn’t deserve it but Elizabeth was nothing like him and has once again proven it to him.

He held her possessively not wanting to let her go because it might be the last time they would ever k**s again. Asher wanted to savor the moment he has left with her as he continued to k**s her already swollen lips over and over again. He truly wished he could ask her to stay but he knew better than to ask her to.

Another minute passed and Beth pushed back to peer up at his face, his brown hazel eyes glistering with tears as he stared quietly at her. She lifted her hand up to his face, a small smile pulling at her l*p as she caress his cheeks softly.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this or would have ever said this but i forgive you Alpha Asher. I have forgiven you long before now, it only took this day for me to say it out loud. You have my forgiveness” Beth said and a single tears rolled down his cheeks.

“ Thank you, Elizabeth. I don’t deserve this much but thank you” Asher said, as he pulled her into another tight hug and whispered.

“I will be leaving now so you can pack up and arrange anything you might need”

She nodded and Asher kissed her forehead before leaving the room.

Beth stared till he was out of her sight. To her, Asher deserved every bit of her forgiveness as he was also wronged and left without a mate and also about to loose his son as well.

She couldn’t help but also feel sad leaving him behind. She has really grown fond of the man she thought has no heart at all and it’s even safe to say, she have come to love him as well.

Even though she would have loved to stay with him, deep down in her heart, she knew her desire to go back home was above all as nothing could compare to it. Home was where she truly belong. Maybe she would be fortunate enough to find out more about her real identify.

Beth snapped from her thoughts and moved to her baby’s cot.

“Darling, we are going back to the city tomorrow. I know you’re going to miss your dad but we have to go home. Home sweet home!” Beth said happily and pulled his cheeks slightly.

Sam giggled lightly and she sighed and began to move toward the wardrobe to pack up whatever that was hers and that of her baby too. It wasn’t much but she needed to distract herself by keeping her hands busy as she start to pick up clothes before throwing them into the black bag on the floor.

It wasn’t hers but Asher said she could use it so she did. She picked up a black T-shirt and held it up to her nostril as she took a lungful of Asher’s scent it. While he was away all those time, it helped her sleep better at night as he added it to her list of things as well just in case she ends up missing him when she least expected.

Later that night, Beth kept staring at the ceiling but couldn’t sleep. She was really anxious as she lay wondering how she would be able to cope again in the city with her child. Even though Asher already assured her he has people waiting to serve her, she still felt uneasy.

Asher pushed the door open and went inside, his heart thudding in his chest as he approached her on his bed. Her smiling face greeting him as soon as he stepped in enough to behold her face is something he is certainly going to miss.

Everything felt as though he was loosing a part of him all over again. He strolled further and sat beside her on the bed, his hands going to comb through her mass of dark hair.

Elizabeth stared quietly at him as his fingers continued to comb gently through her hair.

“I …” she began and Asher shut her up with a slight k**s on her lips.

“It’s okay, Elizabeth. Just wanted to say goodnight!” Asher smiled before moving over to lay on the couch.

Seeing him on the sofa, she arched a brow, “Are you being serious right now? How can you sleep on the couch?” Beth asked sitting up on the bed.

“I am okay here, just go to bed and stop worrying.”

“Why won’t I worry? It’s not fair, you should also come to the bed. I can place Sam in his cot if you think the bed won’t be able to accommodate you.” Beth suggested.

Asher closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep.

“Is that how quick you sleep? Get up now!”

Beth began dragging his left hands but he was just too strong, Asher knowingly pulled her to himself and she fell right on his chest. Their faces because just breath away from each other.

“I should have known, this was a trick to lure me here right?” Beth said, glaring weakly at the mischievous grin he had going on, on his face.

“I think so.” Asher said before crashing his lips hungrily on against her.

Beth welcomed the k**s and adjusted herself on Asher such that she was now straddling him on the chair. Asher hands moved to her thighs as he began caressing it, the intensity of the k**s grew even more and as they continued to k**s even more.

Asher’s hand trail even more as grab he her butts firmly, giving it a gentle squeeze. Asher wanted so bad to bury himself within her warm walls for the last time but had to hold back as he slowly brought their k**s to a stop and Elizabeth let out a deep sigh, resting her head against his chest.

He leaned forward and kissed on the forehead before relaxing back on the sofa, his arms going to wrap around her protectively as well.
