The two wolves began running around the woods, one up ahead and the other catching up pretty well before racing side by side. Asher felt whole again. His burden was light and all his pain nearly forgotten as he was caught up in the moment.

Things were suddenly starting to come together just like before he lost it all. They was a feeling of satisfaction that accompanied that very moment.

They stopped in front of a lake and Beth was the first to transformed into her human form, Asher did the same.

Beth felt vulnerable standing before him without any clothing on but before she could turn away, Asher quickly took her by the hand and Beth let out a surprised gasp.

“Mind if we have a wash in the water?” Asher asked and Beth thought for a while before giving a reply.

“It’s been long I…” Asher jumped into the water before Beth could complete her statement.

“I wanted to tell you that it’s been long I swam so I don’t know what will happen if I try swimming again.” Beth explained but got no reply.

“Get yourself out of that water because I am not coming in.” Beth shouted but got no reply.

She wondered if something must have gone wrong with him inside the water as he had disappeared completely under the water.

“Asher!?” she called.

“Asher! Asher!!!” Beth let out in panic as there was still no sign of Asher.

Has he drown? She couldn’t tell as he was no where in sight.

Notwithstanding, She jumped into the water without thinking and went in search for Asher.

She paused abruptly when she felt a pull from underneath, pulling her under the water. She let out a squeal as she got submerged completely.

She already knew it was Asher as he reached for her under the water. He kissed her neck and sucked on it for some time leaving a hickey. Beth felt cold shivers run down her spine as they reemerged for air.

Beth turned to him immediately, his hair was sticking all over his face in a hot mess.

“You freaking tricked me right? I told you I don’t want to swim but you trickily made me…”

Asher crashed his lips on hers before she could complete her statement.

Beth responded immediately and they kissed deeply in the water.

Beth broke it and pushed him slightly.

“Go away!” Beth said playfully and began swimming away from him.

Asher pursued and he caught her within some seconds, he was a fast swimmer.

He kissed her again deeply and she could help but grab her arms around his neck, with his reaction digging into her s*x provocatively as he had her straddling him.

Asher kissed her hard, claiming her lips with his. After a long moment, she lifted her head.

“You won’t” She assured him before pulling him back down to attach her lips to his.

He pulled away from her abruptly, turning her over to her stomach after a brief tangle of legs. She tried to rise up on her hands and knees, to spread her legs. But Asher pushed her flat, his hands on her h**s, lifting her up.

He took her quickly, the weight of his body giving him momentum, his thrust hard and fast. Each thrust brought him closer, drove him further into her warmth and wetness. He gritted his teeth, holding himself back, waiting for some kind of sign from Beth that she was close.

It was finally the day of the fight and Beth couldn’t help but feel so restless. She couldn’t sit still as she stood pacing from one end of her room to the other. Before Asher headed out for the fight, he had warned her firmly to stay indoors as he doesn’t wants her to witness the fight between him and his Beta.

Beth couldn’t tell it was because he knew exactly how she felt about the stupid fight. Too many times has she tried to make him change his mind but all her words fell on deaf ear and now she has to wait around while they tear each other to shred.

The fighting sound went off a minute ago, announcing the start of the fight, making her even more tensed and scared. With clenched fist, she let out a frustrated g***n. She badly wants to watch the fight between the duo but Asher already warned her to stay indoors and watch over her baby.

He also made Izzy promise him that she won’t allow Beth get out of her room hence the reason for the younger girl seating by the sofa, her eyes watching Elizabeth carefully.

“Won’t you at least take a sit? You have been pacing around this room for a while now. You are going to make us both dizzy”

“I can’t do it. I mean, how do you even expect me to sit comfortably, knowing that two men who are best friends are out there fighting because of me?” Beth asked with kneaded brow

She wasn’t herself that moment, her anxiety and fear was starting to take over as she starred back at Izzy with a questioning brow.

Izzy let out a sigh before going to pull Beth by the hand to come sit beside her. She reluctantly allow herself be tug towards the chair before settling on it, her eyes going up to look at her friend once more.

“I know you are worried. I’m worried too. We are all worried but I don’t think Alpha Asher has the mind to kill Alex. Those two practically grew up together aa brothers, he probably just want to teach him a lesson for challenging him” Izzy reasoned, rubbing her back soothingly.

“You really think so? Or you are just saying it to calm me down”

Izzy eyes narrowed just a little bit, “Do you think Asher is capable of killing Alex?”

Beth let out a shrug, “I don’t know. I can only hope you are right”

“You worry too much, just relax okay?”

Beth gave nod, her tense shoulders relaxing a little bit.

“Can you get me a glass of water?”

“Sure, just hold on” Izzy turned to go grab her a bottle and Beth got up just as quickly and bolted towards the door.

“Come back here!” Izzy screamed and tried to go after her but she had locked the door from outside.

“I’m sorry Izzy but I have to stop them” Beth called right back before rushing down the hall and towards the fight arena.
