Chapter 106

“ What was that about? I thought I told you to keep your new found strength to yourself, Elizabeth” Alex scolded as soon as they got out of earshot.

“I didn’t mean to, and beside Kara tried to hit me first and I didn’t even do anything to her away so no need to yell at me”

“ I wasn’t yelling. I was just_” he paused mid sentence and exhaled slowly through his mouth before speaking again.

“ What exactly were you doing out here anyways. Where is your son?” Alex questioned with a more relaxed tone.

“ I needed to see you”

“What for? You could send someone”

Beth eyes narrowed at this harsh tone.

“Alex, what’s wrong? You even refused to look at me. Is everything fine or are you angry with me for what happened with Kara again?” Beth asked but got no reply.

“Alex, if you decide to ignore me, then I will leave you. Maybe you don’t wish to talk to me for now.” Beth concluded and turned to leave but Alex turned to her swiftly and pulled her close to himself, so much so that , they were a left in an uncomfortable situation, their lips almost inches away from each other.

Beth gasped as his hands landed on her waist, their faces were a few inches apart from each other.

“Tell it to my face that you love him.” Alex asked but Beth actually didn’t hear him clearly.

“Huh?” Beth asked in confusion not exactly sure what Alex was up about.

“I know you are eagerly waiting for him to come back and claim you for himself”

“Let go of me Alex? What has gotten into you?” She said, pushing away from him.

Alex seem to have realized his outburst barely took a step away from her.

“I’m sorry Beth, please just leave. Am not in my right senses so it would be advisable you leave.”

“Alex? What has gotten into you” She tried to grab hold of his hand but he moved out of her reach.

“Just leave, I would talk to you later.”

Beth didn’t say another words, she simply ran off leaving him to growl quietly under his breath.

Alex sighed heavily, who knows what he might have done if he hadn’t sent her away. He was about to lean in and captured those lips that were practically calling out to him., he just couldn’t control his feelings especially having her so close.

Back in the city.

Alpha Asher was getting frustrated by the day and aside from that, he hasn’t been able to get through to Alex for days now, making him even more restless especially with Kara’s word reoccurring in his mind over and over again.

He finally gave up on looking for Lincoln as each search ended with more of his allying meeting their untimely end.

It would Please Asher immensely if he could lay his hand on make him. He did give him a gruesome death for the death of his mate and even his ally’s but has ran out of time already and it was time to go home.

“Don’t think you have won just yet Bradley f*****g Lincoln. I will surely come back for you.” He said to himself feeling more enraged than ever.

At this point, he was ready to go back home. He has been greatly worried about Beth and his son and can wait any longer to be by their side.

He was in the middle of packing when he received a text. He checked the sender with excitement and became angry when the sender happened to be Kara.

“What message does this bitch have to tell me now? Probably, sending her damn went nudes again. That woman can be so desperate.” Asher said irritatedly.

He ignored the message and continued packing up a few of his things when he received another text. It was still Kara texting for the second time.

He finally gave up as his curiosity got the best of him. He checked the preview of the message and it says,

“PLEASE CHECK PREVIOUS ONES, IT’S ABOUT ALEX AND BETH”

Asher sighed and was about to press delete but on a second thought, he click on it, his eyes immediately grew wide at the images in his phone.

It was a picture of his Beta Alex and Beth in a position his mind immediately registered as compromising.

The first picture shows Alex hugging Beth and the second one shows Alex and Beth almost kissing as his arm were wrapped around her waist affectionately.

Alpha Asher went red immediately and smashed his phone on the floor. It shatters into pieces immediately.

“How dare Alex betray me this way?, I f*****g trusted him so much and he turned around and stab me at the back.” Asher said with clenched fist.

The picture couldn’t leave his head and he couldn’t help but get even more angrier.

He tried to calm his anger by concluding maybe Alex was trying to comfort Beth for some unknown reason but the second picture got him rather confused.

He was angry and jealous that Alex has so much access to Beth. Who knows what else they have done behind his back.

Asher was enraged like never before. Maybe because he was aware of Alex and he trusted him not to act on it, oh how wrong he truly was but now, he is going to make sure he regret the very moment he choose to claim what was never his.

°° The next morning °°

Beth woke up feeling very restless, even her baby has refused to stop crying and it starting to get her really worried.

She also felt that something bad was about to happen but she couldn’t place her finger on where it was coming from.

She tries to pet her son to sleep after feeding him but nothing seem to works. The little boy would stop crying for some seconds and would then resume crying all over again.

“What’s the matter with you?” Beth asked as she carried him and start to rock him back and forth in a bit to get him to calm down.

Someone knocked at the door and she rushed to open it, it was Izzy and she sighed in relief.

At first, she thought it was Alex who was at the door. After yesterday’s event, she didn’t think that he would want to see her after he asked to be left alone.

She was worried about his well-being and hoped nothing had gone wrong with him.

“Good morning Beth, why is he crying?” Izzy asked reaching for the baby from Beth’s arms.

“I don’t really know. I tried to pet him but he kept crying non-stop. I don’t know what might be wrong with him and it’s getting me scared.” Beth said and Izzy sighed.

“Perhaps, the baby is hungry and you need to breastfeed him again”

“I have done that but he refused to suck on it, he just kept crying. I don’t know what might be happening to my baby.” Beth said getting scared already.

“Hey! I don’t want that shaky attitude okay? Let’s just take him outside for some air and see if he would stop crying.” Izzy suggested and Beth agreed.

Suddenly the door burst open and two guards came in and both ladies turned to stare at them, Her heart starting to race immediately

“What do you want?” Izzy asked, her eyes darting between them.

Beth quickly grabbed her baby clutching unto Sam tightly.

None of them spoke or gave her a reply.

“If you all are going to stand and look at me like morons, it’s better you leave right now.” Beth ordered with all boldness.

Fear was written all over face but she tried to be bold as much as she could.

“Take her baby away from her and get hold of her!” One of the guards commanded and three more guards came in and rushed towards Beth.

Izzy got in the way and Beth tried to escape toward the bathroom but was not fast enough and she quickly corned.

They succeeded in taking Baby Sam forcefully away from her and he began crying again.

“Please stop this madness, what are you doing?” Izzy continued to scream at the top of her voice but it made no difference.

She could only get the crying baby from them before Beth was dragged her out of her room forcefully.

She couldn’t break free even if she tried as the met holding her were too strong for her.

“Go and get Alex, go now” She screamed at Izzy before she was knocked out cold.
