Sky's Rejection
Sky’s Rejection Chapter 39

(Sky’s POV)

I was woken out of dead of sleep, gasping as I looked around.

I sigh as a breath as I realize it was all just a dream, a horrible nightmare, I am back in my body and safe.

‘Get up and go to the bathroom, do you feel how bac we have to pee.’ Rain asked in annoyance as I felt her jump around in my mind.

‘Would you just be quiet. Did you not realize how much that dream freaked her out? She just woke up.’ Angel sighed out in defense.

These two.

‘How dare you talk to me like that, I know you feel it too. Our bladder is going to explode. Move it Sky.’ Rain demands as she seems to now be getting frustrated. Alright, alright. I will go to the bathroom now, calm down you two. I thought back to them as I forcefully moved my body into a sitting position. The ache and foreign feeling still spreading through my body. I can’t believe how painful it was to be away from my body for so long and now that I am back there is still a pain, as if I am not totally in control and I am starting to wonder why.

‘Why do you have to be so ignorant? Maybe she is tired, we lose her and all you do is whine and cry and now we have her back and you have turned back into your annoying self.’ Angel says with a roll of her eyes as I feel her wolf body slamming down in my head, causing a headache to sprout.

I swing my feet to the side, hanging them off the bed, an inch above the ground. Breath Sky you have this, just a little more. The ache shooting up my legs is unbelievable as I slowly support my body weight on my feet. Why do I feel this bad? Is it normal?

‘This isn’t normal at all. I fear something is wrong.’ Angel says with concern in her voice, I knew this wasn’t right.

‘We need to figure out what is wrong but first we need to head to the bathroom. Breath through it Sky and slowly get to the bathroom.’ Rain says with encouragement, I know they are both grimacing at the pain with me. Even though I am trying to take the brunt of all the pain, so they don’t suffer.

‘We will need to research about this and figure out why we are so weak and in so much pain.’ Angel says in thought. That’s a really good idea. Thanks for caring and helping guys, I thought back to them.

‘To the bathroom.’ Rain said in a sing song impatient voice. Only these two can make a serious conversation switch into a joking one. It took me over twenty minutes to make the ten feet walk to the bathroom. As soon as I shut the door, I held onto the counter for support, breathing heavily. I felt my legs wobbling under my weight as black spot took over my vision.

‘Breathe Sky, it is okay.’ Rain said patiently. As she started doing breathing techniques in my head. I wanted to laugh, but the way I felt prevented that.

‘The door isn’t full closed, maybe we could yell out to someone to get help.’ Angel suggested, as I looked over at the door and realized it was still cracked. I can’t speak, I can’t move. I feel like I am losing consciousness. ‘Never mind, I am going to try to connect with Demon.’

With that I couldn’t feel Angel anymore and it seemed that Rain was helping her too, which was causing my weaken state to deteriorate in a speed I couldn’t slow down. I tried to focus on anything around me, on any thought I could think of, but nothing was working. I was starting to lose my heightened vision, causing nothing to be visible in the dark room anymore. Maybe if I lay down for a minute I could get my strength back, though I know I won’t make it back to the bed. With that thought I slowly lowered myself on the ground sighing out in relief as my aches started to lessen. I felt my self drifting off, realizing I just needed a little rest I closed my eyes and breathed out.

After what felt like hours, though it could have only been minutes for what I could have known, I opened my eyes and looked around. I was still on the ground in the cold dark bathroom, but I felt some what better. I felt like I could get up, I slowly lifted myself up and sat on the toilet, doing my business. Rain? Angel? I questioned in my head.

‘I am here.’ Angel said lightly, as if she had just woken up as well. Did you get a hold of Demon? I asked back to her. Where is Rain?

‘We only talked to Demon a little. Pushing the urgency that we needed him into his mind, but not being able to tell him what happen or where we were before you passed out, causing our connection to break.’ Rain said slowly as she looked around the room with me.

‘Where could he be? It has been hours. He should have found us by now.’ Rain commented after she checked every ounce of our surrounding.

‘I may have had our scent covered.’ Angel commented softly as guilt leaked into our bond. I could feel Rain getting angry and I knew I needed to intervene. Enough, Angel it is okay, you do it to keep us safe. You didn’t know it has become a habit. Plus, if he tried hard enough with the mate scent, he could have still found us. Rain we are not hurt, and I am feeling better. Everything is fine. We are fine. Now take a breather and both of you calm down. I told them both sternly, making sure they wouldn’t argue over it.

After I finished my business, I looked at my pale self in the mirror and quickly washed my hands, splashing my face with cold water. Okay Sky, we are okay. I walk back into my room to go lay down but what I see makes me gasp.

A heavy breathing, sweat glistening, handsomely stunning man, turned at super speed. Looking directly in my eyes, his piercing icy blue eyes showed blackness, a sinister and aggressive look shining deep inside. His sharp teeth glistening with drool and b***d as they sunk into his own bottom l*p. His face contoured between his human stance and his wolfs. Black fur covering as much of his skin as possible. His heavy breaths causing his body to bend over in heaves as I watched how his arms were covered in fur, his claws curved where his hands should be.

It’s Dimitri, partly Demon. I think to myself.

Though he seems to be in a half human/ half wolf stance. Only very rare Alpha’s can do this and only when they are threatened with an extreme danger. What had happened to him? I pulled my eyes away from him, taking in the room. The whole room is trashed. The bed I was previous laying in, shredded to pieces, the rug torn up, the tables smashed into pieces and scattered around the room. What had happened in here?

“Dimitri?” I whisper in uncertainty as I take a hesitant step towards my mate. Fear slightly creeping up my body. I haven’t been afraid in so long, that I almost couldn’t recognize the feeling. His eyes snap towards my movement, as if I am the threat.

“Demon.” I demanded, finally understanding that Di is not the one in control right now. I need Demon to know that it is me, his mate. I need him to calm down. I need to make sure that he didn’t harm any of the pack and then I need to understand what had happened here and why. I take another slow step towards him, slowly creeping closer.

He growls, halting me in my steps. “Demon its me, Sky. Your mate.” I say with sadness lacing my voice. I just want to calm him, but I don’t even know if I will be able to get close enough to him.

“Mate?” He asked in a question, a growl of confusion underlining his words.

“Dimitri, man. I haven’t found Sky yet, but I am sti…” Dean says as he barges into the room. He looks around, terror on his face when he takes in the disaster of a room. Then his eyes lock with me. Anxiety and fear swirl in his eyes when he sees how close I am to Dimitri and the state my mate is in. Demon turns towards the door and growls uncontrollably, the fur sticking up in a predator manner.

‘You should leave.’ I whisper in the mind link; afraid he will hear me. Even though that is a ridiculous thought.

‘I can’t leave you here with him. Dimitri never gives Demon control, he isn’t stable. Demon is vicious and uncontrollable.’ Dean mind links back to me, fear seeping into our connection. I glance at him for a split second, then my attention goes back to my mate.

‘Don’t talk and just stand there then. Don’t even breathe heavily, do you understand?’ I demanded through the link to Dean, I watch out of the corner of my eye as he nods in understanding. ‘Don’t move an inch either, he will think of it as a threat.’

‘Yes Luna.’ Dean mind links me in a high pitch tone, as if mockingly. He thinks he is funny, I will deal with him later, I thought to myself as I rolled my eyes.

“Demon, hey back on me.” I said softly to my mate. His eyes snap towards me as I watch his l*p lift into a snarl. He crouches as if ready to attack at any point, obviously starting to feel threatened.

“I am mate remember. I am Sky. Rain and Angel are up front with me. Do you feel us? Do you feel our bond, Demon?” I asked softly, gulping down my fear, as I took another two hesitant steps towards him as he lowly growled. The look in Demon’s eyes showed he was considering my words, it seemed to be slightly calming him.

“Sky. Angel. Rain…. Mates.” Demon says lowly as I watch him consider the names. Trying to get my words through to him.

‘Try talking to him in a simpler way.’ Angel says slowly.

‘Yeah, listen to Angel, I think he knows who we are but not in a state to handle all the words you are throwing at him yet.’ Rain says with agreeance.

‘BACK UP.’ Dean links to me in a demand, I turn, giving him a glare and then focusing back on my mate.

“Mate. Sky.” I said while pointing to myself. “My mate. You.” I said as I pointed at him. “Love. Us.” I pointed between him and I as I took two more steps towards him. He crouches in a threatening way as his growl starts up again. Angel growls back at him as I jump, wrapping my arms around him. I send calming energy into him, as the sparks dance over our connected skin. I send warmth and love through our mate bond and just wait as the growling turns into a satisfied rumble in his chest. Our bodies collapse to the ground, as I bear hug him until I know he is back to being himself.

“Sky…” Dimitri hums against my skin. I know where this is going, and I don’t need any one in here right now.

‘Di is back, leave.’ I demand in the mind link to Dean. I hear him chuckle as he walks away from us and this disaster of a room.

“What happened, Dimitri? Why did you lose control?” I asked as I pulled my face away, looking straight into his eyes as I hold his face between my hands.

Dimitri sighs as he leans into my hand, “I came to find you and you weren’t here. Where were you? Do you get how worried I was? I made everyone in the pack tear the pack apart to find you.” Dimitri said as anger started to replace the worry in his voice. How dare he get mad at me.

I abruptly jump to my feet looking at my mate in disbelief, “YOU HONESTLY COULDN’T HAVE LOOKED THAT WELL KNOWING I WAS IN THE BATHROOM THE WHOLE TIME. I HAVE FELT OFF, WEAK AND IN SO MUCH PAIN SINCE WAKING UP. INSTEAD OF YOU CARING OR WAITING TO FIND OUT WHERE I WAS YOU START TO GET ANGRY. SERIOUSLY DIMITRI. I WAS LITTERALLY PASSED OUR RIGHT THERE.”

I point towards the bathroom, as tears weld up in my eyes.

“I’m s… so… sorry.” Dimitri stutters out as he looks at me in shock. At that point my body gives out, as I fall to the ground. Darkness taking over my vision. “SKY!”

I felt the tingles from Dimitri’s arms wrapping around me right before falling completely in the darkness.
