Sky's Rejection
Sky’s Rejection Chapter 38

(Dimitri’s POV)

As I walked into my office, I saw how crowded it looked. My office isn’t small, it is like a small living room, spacious. I guess it is smaller when you have seven other presences in here with you.

I take a seat on my large black leather seat, behind my desk as I look at everyone in the room.

Where do I start?

‘Start with our mother, coming in and almost waking up mate.’ Demon growled in annoyance; he loves our parents as much as I do. The issue he has is that she almost woke our mate, though he doesn’t understand that she didn’t know. I am sure someone just linked her to let her know Sky was awake.

“Mother.” I sighed, stressing myself out trying to figure out how to say this to her. “Sky was sleeping, why would you just barge in and start speaking so loudly?”

“Your Father had mind linked me, to let me know that Sky was awake and that you were going to mate her, right there in front of everyone. I wanted to tell you that she needs to have the Royal Luna ceremony before you mark her.” My mother said quietly as she looked down, I can’t even yell at her. She thought she was doing the right thing.

“Merde, Père. (Damn it, Father.) I was not going to mate her when I felt she was tired. Plus, if my mate and I want to mate with each other then that is our issue to discuss and decide on. Do not link mother, I am sure everyone in the room felt how tired Sky was and I also know all of you should have left the room after seeing us begin to k**s.” I ranted in annoyance.

“I apologize Alpha, on Ariel’s and my behalf.” Mark said with a bow of his head, placing Ariel behind him. Ty, Mother and Father look unaffected. Dean and Henry bow their heads slightly as Dean backs up. It seems as if Henry is forcing himself to bow, but I don’t take any concern to that right now. Right now, I need to try to calm myself down.

“I apologize for not respecting your boundaries, but I do not apologize for stay for Sky.” Ty said with certainty, Demon wanted to make him bow to us, but I knew he only said the one part because Sky is his main priority and I respect that. It honestly is good to know she has someone like him.

“Could we please discuss the Luna ceremony?” Mother asked with a puppy dog look, she always know how to suck someone in. Even though she knows I am mad she still wants to talk about this right now.

“I feel Sky should be involved in this discussion.” I said slowly, gaging my mother’s reaction. Mother smiled brightly as her eyes lite up. I knew at that point I had lost this argument and mother was already planning everything out in her head.

“I will plan it all and run it by Sky before proceeding. As of right now, the ceremony will be in fifty – two hours, under the full blue moon.” Mother clapped excitedly as her eyes lit up and she ran out of the room, dragging Ariel with her. I chuckled in amusement and tried to get my thoughts straight before starting the next conversation.

‘Let’s go check on mate.’ Demon whined, making me lose my train of thoughts. Damn it. Demon, we need to deal with this first. Can you hold on for a minute? I questioned back to him.

‘Just hurry, I want mate.’ Demon whined in my head, causing the headache I felt I just got rid of now making its appearance again. Thanks Demon. Ugh. Only my wolf would only care about his mate and forget his counterpart, which is me, friends, family, pack, the whole werewolves in the world.

I should probably make this fast.

“Dean, how did you know how to wake Sky up?” I asked semi – calmly, I could still feel the aggravation underneath my words. Damn it. Relax.

‘We need to go back to mate, these incompetent idiots don’t need us. Go back.’ Demon growled with so much aggravation, he wasn’t helping at all with me trying to calm down. Demon stop this right now, I am trying to stay calm. Just relax for a few and then I will go back to our mate. I tried to reason with him, but I still felt him pacing my head as he growled and mumbled to myself.

“I called Diane.” Before Dean could continue, I growled, my anger allowing Demon to come forward and within seconds I was shooting out of the room, heading towards the room Sky was left in. Demon, please. We need to go back and figure how much Diane knows. We need to finish talking to Dean. I begged for control back as I continued to try to take it back by force.

‘No,’ Demon growled in annoyance. ‘Everyone is following us; I will allow you to ask him the questions after I am with mate, and she is safe in my arms.’ There is no danger to threaten her here Demon, you need to calm down and stop being so overprotective. You are worried when she is only sleeping, she needs sleep. You do understand that right? I thought back, trying to make Demon understand that Sky needs her rest.

‘She can REST in my arms.’ Demon screams in my head, the words vibrating around from the frustration Demon is feeling. Okay, we can go hold mate, I thought back to him in a soft and calm tone. Effectively calming Demon down as his pace slows slightly as we approach Sky’s room.

If we must mind link our whole conversations while holding Sky, then I will do that. That way everything gets done as needed, but Demon is content with our mate. I can’t lie I would be more relaxed in Sky’s presence as well.

As soon as he pushes the door open, I could feel the excitement from the thought of holding our mate bubbling inside me. When I saw inside the room, I knew all hell would break out, especially with Demon in control.

Sky was gone.

“WHERE IS MY MATE?” Demon screamed in anger as he searched every inch of the room. My father, Mark, Dean, Ty and Henry were standing near the door with petrified looks on their faces. They all seemed to be confused as well, telling me they had no idea Sky wasn’t in here, but I wasn’t the one in control and when a wolf loses their mate and has free range, they can go a little crazy. Demon was worse than that, he never though rationally when he was in control.

When Demon couldn’t find our mate anywhere, he started shouting orders, “MARK, GATHER A SEARCH PARTY RIGHT NOW AND SWEEP THROUGH THE LANDS. TY, GO TO THE BOARDER PATROL AND MAKE SURE SHE HASN’T LEFT PACK LANDS. HENRY, SEARCH THE HOSPITAL HIGH AND LOW. LOOK IN EVERY CABINET, EVERY STAIRCASE, UNDER BEDS. FATHER, LOOK AT OUR SECURITY CAMERAS AND FIND MY MATE. DEAN……”

“I got this buddy; I will go to the doctor and find out if he took her for any testing. Then I will check places she would most likely go to. No one got her this time Demon; she probably woke up and just wondered off to find you. Take a breath because Sky won’t like to see you like this. I will be back.” Dean said as he ushered everyone out of the room to set out to do what Demon asked them to do.

‘It is okay Demon, why don’t you let me back and I will find her.’ I said calmly to Demon hoping he would agree, a clear head would help find her so much faster.

“NOOOOO.” Demon growled out loud, with that he decided it was best to start tearing up the whole room and I feared if a pack member approached him at this time, he would shred them to pieces. I prayed that Dean found her and soon.

(Dean’s POV)

‘Hurry Dean, Demon is destroying the hospital room. I fear he may attack a pack member if they approach him.” Di mind links me. I cut the link and open a whole pack link, leaving Dimitri out of it.

‘Everyone inside their homes now, this is not a drill. If you see the Alpha, do not approach. We are on lock down.’ I used my Beta command in the mind link, so I knew that they would all have to listen to me. I just hope I included everyone in the link. I hate doing a whole pack link, always causes pain to shoot through my head. I don’t know how Dimitri does these all the time.

“Hey doc, have you seen Sky? Was she taken to more testing?” I asked the doctor with ease, waiting for him to confirm where he had taken her. I knew his response wouldn’t be what I wanted to hear when I saw the confusion and panic running across his face.

“I didn’t order any tests and I didn’t move her. I checked on her a half hour ago and she was sleeping.” The doctor said as I watch the panic building up inside him.

“Go to your house or lock yourself in your office and do not come out until I find her. Demon has control.” I said as silently as I could. The doctors’ eyes widened as I spoke. He quickly nodded in response and took off towards his office. Great, now where am I going to find her.

I remember her talking about water before, how it calms her, the serenity of it all or something. Goddess, please tell me she isn’t hurt. Maybe she is at the lake. I ran to the lake closest to the hospital and looked around as I arrived.

The darkness covered the whole area, except for the stars and moon light reflecting off the water. The quietness, other than the water whooshing around. She is right, this is serene, just watching the waves, and the stars twinkling above. I pull my attention away from the scenery, as I look around the area. I don’t see anyone around though.

Where could she have gone to?
