Sky’s Rejection Chapter 40

(Dimitri’s POV)

“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER NOW?” I ask in anger as Sky lays on the hospital. Though in the Alpha suite this time, due to me destroying the other room and flipping out when I couldn’t find her.

“Calm down man.” Dean says as he places his hand on my shoulder. I shrug him off, still annoyed of how close and my mate have become.

“It seems her body hasn’t fully mend itself together. I am honestly not sure if there is something we need to do to fix that or if her body will fix this on its own. We have never dealt with something like this before, Alpha.” The doctor says solemnly, and I realize this is a touch and go situation. No one know what is about to happen.

“Will she back up and ready for the Luna ceremony in thirty – six hours?” Mother asks with expectation in her voice.

I sigh in annoyance, “Yes mother just go and finish all of the preparations.”

She jumps in glee, as she runs out of the room and drags a pregnant Ariel with her. Mark runs, following them as he tries to make sure Ariel is alright.

I bend over, taking Sky’s hand into mine, “Mon amour, réveillez-vous (My love, wake up). We need you to wake up.”

“What is wrong?” Sky mumbles causing me to jump in shock. Sky peeks open one eye as she continues talking. “Why are you looking at me like that? Did I die?”

‘Awe, mate looks cute.’ Demon coos.

Her face lights up with a smile, as a small chuckle slips out at her own joke. Even though I just stare at her in a serious expression. I can’t help but enjoy the way her face lights up, the way her smile makes me want to never look at anything other than her, the way Demon rumbles in content from watching his mate. I couldn’t ask for anyone better.

“Am I interrupting?” A young woman, with pitch black eyes and silver hair, walks in with a smile on her face looking no older than twenty – five. Anyone who didn’t know who she was would never know she is a powerful witch hundreds of years old. Diane.

‘Why is the witch here?’ Demon asked in frustration, as he began to pace around in my head. Now they have gotten Demon going. Super. (Great.)

“Who are you?” Sky asks as she jerks into a sitting position on the bed.

“Careful.” I say sternly as I look down on my mate, examining every inch of her to make sure she is okay. I watch as Sky rolls her eyes and I see Diane approach us. Getting a little too close for comfort.

“You must be the famous hybrid I have heard about. I didn’t give Dean the whole remedy to bring you back. I just made sure you didn’t die. Sorry sweetie but I had to make sure they didn’t try to hide you away from me.” Diane said with a smirk on her face, taking in every single detail of Sky. I can see how intrigued she is by her. I glare at Dean; I can’t believe he disclosed that to the witch. She may help our pack sometimes but that doesn’t mean she can know information this sensitive. This is dangerous and now I must do damage control because of Dean.

‘Dean brought a threat to our mate here.’ Demon growls.

‘Go get my father NOW.’ I order into the mind link to Dean as I see his face pale from my tone.

“What do you mean by you didn’t tell Dean the full way of healing me? What do we still need to do?” Sky asked as she leaned toward me. I could feel her confusion, anger and pain. How intense does her pain have to be for me to be feeling it?

“I will tell you with due time. First, I want to know a few things. I am curious about you.” Diane says as she gets next to the bed. I step back a little. Knowing exactly what will be happening next. The anger and frustration my mate emanate from her is even intimidating me. I watch as Diane looks at her in confusion before she begins bending down. Her body slams down on her knees, as she bows to Sky. Diane looks stunned into silence, or my mate is making her speechless.

‘Mate isn’t safe. Why would this witch do that?’ Demon asked as he starts clawing at my mind, trying to get out.

“I will ask you once and only once. How. Do. I. Fix. This.” Sky asks in a voice I have never heard; it sounds as if three people are all talking at once. That isn’t possible though, right?

“Sky, calm down girl.” Ty says as he rushes in the room, looking emotionless but I see the hint of worry in his eyes. Sky sends a glare at him, making him immediately drop to his knees. Qu’est-ce que je fais maintenant? (What do I do now?)

“ANSWER HER.” I bellow at the witch, trying to make her obey my command.

‘If she doesn’t obey, I will rip her throat out.’ Demon says with frustration. She is not one of our subjects, she does not have to obey, and it is harder for us to try to place our control over her, I thought back to my wolf. Hoping he calms down just a bit.

“You are losing your touch Royal Alpha.” Diane chuckles in amusement. “This pretty lady holds more power than you. Do you feel threatened by her yet? Having her in your pack like she isn’t a threat to your position.”

‘Is this witch mocking us?’ Demon asks me. I know the answer, but it is better not to get Demon all riled up. If he gets loose again, I don’t know what he will do and I would never be able to live with myself if he hurts Sky.

Sky stands up, getting right in front of Diane. In a soft, aggressive voice, speaks into Diane’s face. “Mock my mate again and I won’t hesitate to kill you. Now tell me how I fix myself, complete the soul connection. If you don’t, I will torture you and then leave you out for the rogues but first I will take every ounce of your powers. Do not try to intimidate my mate or myself.”

‘Mate defended us. Mate loves us.’ Demon gawks as he fans over our mate. Who can really blame him though? Sky is perfect in so many ways. She is the perfect Royal Luna I could have asked for. My pack will love her, the council already protects her, this witch bends to her commands. How much could Sky take control of?

Diane shudders, as her face begins to pale. It looks as if Diane is going to faint when suddenly she looks back to normal. Her eyes widen and fear radiates off her as she shakes in terror. “You are a royal witch; only royal witches can absorb or strip another witch’s power from them. I have never met a royal witch before.” Diane stutters in amazement. Sky glares at her, making her gulp before she speaks again. “I can’t believe you two are mates. I didn’t think Di,” Sky growled, making Diane gulp. “I am sorry. I mean… Dimitri would ever find his mate. Now back to your question. You must re – establish a connection with your mate to let your soul reconnect fully. Wait, neither of you have mated each other yet. This is precious you have a powerful hybrid who could take you down in seconds if she wanted to and you think it was a good idea to wait on mating.”

‘I will rip that witch’s head off. Just let me out. I will make it fast and painful.’ Demon growls in anger as he paces around in my head. You need to calm down Demon, everything is fine. I promise, just relax, I thought back to my wolf hoping my words help him to calm down, but I still feel his agitation rising.

“Be quiet.” Sky growled out as she got up and turned to me. I gulped at the intense look in her eyes, and I now realized if Sky really wanted to, she could take me. She wouldn’t though, right? We are mates. “Do you want to mate us?”

‘Yes. Yes. Yes’ Demon shouts in my head, making me internally wince. Why is he so impulsive and always yelling? He does know that she can’t hear him, right?

I am now starting to understand that all three of them are talking to me at once. I allow Demon to come to the front with me as we stare at our mate. “Of course, we want you.”

“Then we can mark you?” Sky says with the c**k of her head. Is she asking permission to mark me? I look at her in shock.

‘Mark mate.’ Demon demands and I don’t have to think twice. I pace towards her, scooping her in my arms and sink my teeth into her neck. She gasps in shock as it turns into a whimper from the pain. I don’t let go until she lets out a m**n, telling me the marking finally turned into pleasure instead of pain. I look down at my bite mark, imagining how our marks will turn out.

“Our turn.” Sky says with a smirk, right before her teeth sink deep into my neck. The pain is implausible but after a few seconds, that felt like hours, it turns into a pleasure I have never known of before. A rumble of content vibrates in my chest, causing Sky to shudder as she releases me from her grip and licks my marking.

“How does it look?” I asked Sky, while smirking at her. I couldn’t even try to explain how this makes me feel.

‘I love mate. She completes us.’ Demon sighs in content, the marking waring him out. Yeah buddy, I agree, I thought back to him before I could feel him doze off.

“Red and a little angry. Just like you.” Sky comments with a smirk on her face. Her sassiness coming out in every room. “I am tired now, Di.”

I understand the hidden meaning. I need to make everyone leave and let her sleep.

‘Dean, take Diane and find her a place to sleep. She can talk to Sky after her Luna ceremony tomorrow. Tell her she must keep this quiet and not tell anyone.’ I command in the mind link to my Beta.

‘Yes Alpha.’ Dean replies to the mind link, as he walks towards Diane to take her out.

Before they leave Sky lets out a command I didn’t expect, “Do not tell anyone about Royal Alpha Dimitri’s mating. Do not tell anyone about the Hybrid. If you have told someone already inform Dean on the way to your room so we can handle the situation.”

Diane’s back straightens, taking the command without argument as she nods in understanding before walking out the door after my Beta. Ty leaves the room as if he understands, I am sure Sky had mind linked him.

“Come.” I said as I pulled Sky down on the bed with me. I have her snuggled in between my legs, her head burying on my chest as she snuggles more into me. She sighs in content as I watch her eyes shut on their own occurred. I observe her eyelashes fluttering against her cheeks as I watched her lips slightly open as a small content sigh left her mouth.

“Tomorrow you will have your Luna ceremony, we will be fully mated, and I will never let anything happen to you ever again.” I whisper as I pull her tighter against me. She hums in content as her breaths even out, telling me she is finally asleep.

With that, I dose off with my future Luna by my side.
