Chapter 1653 Having Someone to Rely On
Sally's eyes became teary.
She quickly nodded, cheerfully saying, "I've got someone to rely on now. You might be wondering if I'll be overconfident."
Athena certainly wasn't concerned about that.
Sally wouldn't have suffered as much frustration if she had been aware of this approach.
"As for dealing with Jessica, if you can't do it," Athena recalled their previous discussion.
She was worried that Sally might still hesitate to take action.
"Elijah took all the evidence over," Sally said.
Athena understood. "Right, I just remembered you have someone to rely on now."
Sally smiled.
"Mrs. Patterson," Mia detached herself from Byron's presence and happily ran over. "Why do you look even prettier today than yesterday?"
Sally burst into laughter, hugged Mia, and showered her with affectionate kisses.
Elijah and Byron were in conversation, but their gazes turned toward the scene, their expressions softened to the utmost tenderness.
As for Engineer No. 7, he was swamped.
Bob was squatting nearby with several tall, serious-looking guys, discussing matters with Aiden.
"Mr. Aiden Stella, do you think our system is challenging to create?" Bob inquired.
They'd approached several significant companies, either receiving astronomical quotes or struggling to meet expectations, even being forced to compromise. Bob had noticed quite a few tech elites offered Aiden yesterday.
After asking around, he learned that despite his young age, Aiden was an incredibly skilled computer engineer.
After pondering all night, Bob swallowed his pride and approached him directly.
Aiden remained calm as he reviewed their requirements.
Bob intended to create a database focused on traditional herbal remedies and corresponding databases for medicinal recipes and their associated symptoms. While it sounded simple, the actual execution was quite complex.
"I'll do my best to have it ready during summer break," Aiden responded casually after reviewing all the needs.
Bob was surprised.
He hadn't even mentioned needing Aiden's help.
"Well, you're being very generous. What's the pricing like?" Bob initiated.
"I'd also appreciate it if your experts could assist in my father's treatment, and I won't charge you," Aiden replied.
Bob looked surprised.
"Don't worry. We're committed to ensuring your father gets well," Bob confidently reassured.
Aiden took a moment to react, then he nodded.
"When the framework is ready, I'll be in touch." He returned the laptop to Bob and stood up, heading off to find his mother.
The group of Bob looked after Aiden's departure.
"Look at that masterly bearing!"
"Truly, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Those we looked for before can't even compare!"
The atmosphere was incredibly harmonious when suddenly, a hurried servant burst in from outside.
"Mr. Patterson," the servant hesitated briefly between Elijah and Sally before heading towards Elijah. "Why are you so panick? What happened?" Bob asked.
The servant's brow furrowed. "Mrs. Patterson's father and brothers are here, demanding to see her."
Elijah's previously mild expression instantly turned cold.
"How do they dare to come here?" Bob stood up. "Mr. and Mrs. Patterson, don't worry about it. I'll go handle this!" "It's fine." Sally stood up.
"I'm not afraid of them. Why would I shy away if they've come to pick a fight?"
