Chapter 1585 Getting Married

Gideon was shocked by Byron's words. Without saying a word, he clenched his fists and turned to leave.

Byron glanced at his back. He took out his phone, intending to call Athena.

But when he thought about what Gideon said about their past, he felt guilty and put the phone back.

He repeated that several times.

The phone rang. It was Athena calling.

He quickly answered, "Honey!"

"Gideon left?" Athena asked gently, "I heard from the servant that he was furious. Did you two fight?"

"No." Byron paused. "I asked him to let Sally go, but he didn't want to."

Athena was drinking water and sprayed it out. "How did you end up talking about Sally?"

"He mentioned it himself." Byron's tone was rather disdainful. "He also said that Sally had argued with his mother, and he knew it was his mother's fault, yet he yelled at Sally. So I asked her to let Sally go."

"Is there such a thing? Well! You did the right thing. It's time to consider separation!" Athena agreed.

Byron lowered his head. "He said, considering what I did in the past, I have no right to suggest separation."

"It's not like that. You two have fundamental differences!"

"What differences?" Byron asked.

"The problem between us is about ourselves, but the problem between Gideon and Sally is much more complicated. Gideon is not firm enough, and Sally, an illegitimate child, needs a lot of security, which Gideon cannot provide."

"Well." Byron actually had little interest in this matter.

He was just talking about what Gideon said, and after listening, he expressed his opinion.

What he was thinking about now was still his past and how terrible it was.

"By the way, when I took Mia to school, I met Iris." Athena changed the subject. "It was surprising. She didn't choose her father or mother. She chose to live her own life."

"Then we'll arrange it according to her willingness," Byron wasn't surprised.

Anyone who had seen her mother yesterday would feel suffocated to some extent.

Let alone Iris was actually the one who suffered?

"I had my subordinates take care of it," Athena replied. "I'll be done with my work here soon. How about a date?"

Byron's eyes immediately lit up. "Sounds good!"

"Well, wait for me at home."

"Alright..."

Athena hung up the phone, finished her work, and hurriedly left the company.

Just as she arrived in Lakin, her phone rang.

Athena thought it was Byron.

She was surprised when she took it out and saw who was calling.

It was Sally.

"One can't badmouth someone behind their back," Athena muttered, then answered the call.

"Congratulations Athena, you really managed to bring Byron back. I even changed your name on my phone contacts to Miracle Girl." It was Sally's brisk voice.

"Why didn't you turn on your phone? I sent you messages but never got a response."

After knowing Sally had gone abroad, she called and messaged her but never got a response.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Come to Willowbrook City next month, and I'll treat you to a big meal as an apology!"

"Willowbrook City?" Athena was puzzled.

"Oh, I forgot to mention it. I'm getting married next month. I invite you and your family to come and witness the ceremony."
