Chapter 1586 A Partner Was for Life

Athena stood still, feeling bewildered.

Getting married?

Upon hearing the sound of a car, Byron took the elevator and went out.

As soon as he came out, he saw Athena's surprised expression.

He furrowed his brows slightly and walked toward her.

Athena reached out and held his hand, then asked Sally, "Who is the groom?"

"Someone you don't know, a very good person," Sally replied, lacking her usual enthusiasm and liveliness, sounding gentle instead.

Athena fell silent for a moment. "Does Gideon know?"

"Who cares about him? He brings bad luck," Sally said casually. "By the way, I need a flower girl. Can Mia do this for me?"

"I'll ask her," Athena answered.

"Okay, let me know."

They didn't talk much as Sally had to make phone calls to inform others.

"Whose call was it?" Byron asked.

Athena shrugged. "You don't have to try to convince Gideon anymore. Sally is getting married to someone else."

After Gideon left Lakin, he felt increasingly restless.

Recently, when he returned from the construction site, he met many people who knew about his history with Sally, and they would unconsciously bring up Sally in their conversations.

Sally's reputation was not good. Everyone advised him to let go, listen to his parents, and marry a girl from a suitable background to start a family.

Only Byron, who had no memory of the past, didn't consider Sally's reputation.

Ironically, Gideon found his words quite hurtful.

Back home, Gideon took a shower and picked up his phone. He dialed Sally's number again, but it was still unreachable.

In fact, it was quite common.

Over the years, there were countless times when he and Sally were in such circumstances.

The longest time they went without contact was over a year.

He thought it would be just like previous times, and she would come back once her anger subsided.

After the conversation with Byron, Gideon made up his mind.

This time, when she came back, no matter how many people opposed it, he would unhesitatingly marry her.

If his family didn't like it, then he wouldn't let her see them.

His parents and family would leave him anyway, but a partner was for life.

He didn't want to marry a suitable girl. He wanted to spend his life with the one he loved.

With these thoughts, a big weight was lifted off Gideon.

He felt extremely happy, sitting on the couch, crossing his legs, and flipping through the past chat records with Sally.

He came across the part where Sally didn't like the decoration in his place and found it unromantic.

Suddenly, Gideon thought he needed to prepare a wedding house immediately since they were getting married.

He contacted his property manager and obtained the addresses of several houses in excellent locations.

But he wasn't satisfied with any of them.

Then he suddenly remembered that Sally had always liked Athena.

"Lakin!"

He clapped his hands and called his property manager to sell two houses and find a way to purchase one from Lakin.

After doing all this, he thought for a moment and called Athena.

Athena was on a date with Byron.

When she saw Gideon's call, she thought Gideon already knew about it.

"His ex-girlfriend is getting married. Why is he calling me?" Athena muttered but still answered the phone.

Before she could speak, she heard Gideon's excited voice. "Athena, tell me which interior designer designed your house in Lakin? Send me the contact information!" Athena was taken aback. "You want to decorate a house?"

"Yes, my wedding house!" Gideon said proudly.
