Chapter 1299 Be Vigilant

Byron pondered for a moment.

He asked, "Mrs. Eleanor Hale, have you heard about the two annihilated families reported in the news last night?"

Eleanor suddenly exclaimed, "What are you talking about?"

"Gideon had an accident at this critical moment, and it happened in a section of the road without surveillance. The dashcam in his car is also missing. It's too coincidental," Byron said in a deep voice, "I just found out that in addition to the two annihilation cases in the country, there are several similar and related cases of annihilation, including a plane crash."

Eleanor gasped in shock and looked around.

Due to the heavy fog, it felt stifling.

Everyone in the waiting hall seemed suspicious to Eleanor.

"I understand. I'll have Gideon's father and grandparents come back immediately. But I still have to come back. Gideon is seriously injured." Eleanor was crying.

"Mrs. Eleanor Hale, if anything happens on your way back, and Gideon wakes up and finds out, how guilty do you think he will feel?" Byron said sincerely, "I'll arrange a private jet to go there soon. You can take the private jet I arranged if you want to return. How about this idea?"

"Okay!" Eleanor immediately agreed, "Byron, you're going above and beyond for us!"

"You're welcome. Please be careful on your way back, and be vigilant," Byron said.

"Okay."

The call ended.

Byron and Athena also arrived at the hospital where Gideon was being treated.

Outside the emergency room, in addition to Gideon's assistant, a woman dressed in thin clothes sat on a bench, covering her face and hunching over. Her long curly hair was somewhat messy. When she heard footsteps, the woman subconsciously looked up.

"Sally?" Athena was shocked.

Since Sally set her up to find Byron caring for Freya in the hospital, Sally didn't even have time to tend to her injuries. She packed her things and left overnight, and Athena hadn't seen her since then. Sally's face was pale, and she looked excessively worn.

"Wow, it's been a while," she said as she greeted Athena and motioned toward the emergency room. "Gideon is inside. The doctor said he has a brain injury." Her emotions suddenly overwhelmed her as she spoke, and she burst into tears.

"It's my fault. I asked Gideon to come back immediately after finishing work. If he came back the next morning, nothing would have happened!"

Athena knew that Sally and Gideon had been in a relationship during their younger days. However, she couldn't pinpoint when they had patched things up. She walked up to Sally and said, "Don't worry. The doctors are still trying to save him. Good things happen to kind people like Mr. Hale, so he'll pull through." Sally continued crying in complete despair, tears streaming down her face.

In the past, every time Athena encountered Sally, she would either appear eccentric and wild or exude a captivating charm. It was the first time Athena had seen her in such a panicked state. Soon, the medical team that Byron had brought in arrived one after another.

Urgently, he brought a medical device from Dunlop City, the only one of its kind in the country, sparing no expense in their fight to save Gideon's life.

After the 48-hour critical period, the medical team felt relieved and announced that Gideon was out of danger.

However, when he would wake up was still unknown.

Athena had gone home twice in the past two days, but Byron remained at the hospital, never leaving Gideon's side once.

"Byron, everything is taken care of. Once Gideon's condition stabilizes, we will transfer him to our hospital. You can rest assured and go home now to get a good night's sleep. Aiden and Mia wondered this morning if Daddy would be coming home today."
