Chapter 1222:

? ? ? ? ?

It crashed into the mirror-like wall of the TV, emitting a thunderous crash as both the lamp and the LCD TV shattered.

After letting off some steam, Jarrod left the chaos of the room behind.

Nothing, and no one, was beyond his control.

Nicole fled the Oasis apartment and took a taxi, as if she were fleeing.

The driver looked at her disheveled hair. "Where to, miss?" I have asked.

“To the hospital,” Nicole replied firmly.

The driver wasted no time and rushed her to the hospital.

Nicole got out of the cab and headed straight to the Roscoe room that Leila had mentioned earlier.

On the second floor, guards posted by the Watts family blocked the entrance, preventing Nicole from entering.

Instead of making a scene with the guards, Nicole stood outside and shouted, “Roscoe, Roscoe…”

The guards were stunned, not expecting her to do such a thing. They were totally perplexed, determined not to let anyone bother Roscoe.

Roscoe was at odds with his family. The Watts family insisted that he needed treatment abroad, but he was adamantly refusing. It wasn't because of the cost. Rather, the treatment would take a month, and Roscoe couldn't spare the time right now.

Plus, he was sure Nicole would come looking for him.

Amid the clamor outside, a thoughtful Roscoe smiled. He pushed open the door and cleaned over to Nicole, hiding her pain so she wouldn't worry.

At the door, the guards were trying to get Nicole out of the ward. “Enough of this fuss. If you keep this up, I might lose my temper,” a tall man barked sharply.

Unfazed, Nicole stands her ground. “I'm not bothering him. I'm just calling him. If he decides to come see me, that's his business, not yours.”

The guard, lacking any common sense, blurred out: "Stop chattering and back off, or I'll get very violent."

He even raised his hand, ready to strike.

“Stop!” Roscoe intervened from behind, his tone authoritative but not angry. “Apologize to her.”

The guard was momentarily taken back, not used to seeing Roscoe display such power. He quickly bowed and apologized. “I'm sorry, miss.”

Roscoe confidently took Nicole's hand and led her into the living room, without the guards daring to say another word.

The Watts family had a strict rule about visitors, especially if they weren't family. But they also made it clear that Roscoe was not to be disturbed, as his mood mattered a lot.

Taking Nicole's hand as she entered the room, Roscoe immediately asked, "Have you been eating well?"

Then, noticing that her wrist felt thinner to the touch, he expressed concern: “You look like you’ve lost weight.” He recalled his previous efforts to help her maintain a healthy weight.

Nicole couldn't hold back her tears any longer. Roscoe's concerns were always so personal, always focused on her well-being. And he had a unique way of sensing her emotional state right away.
