Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1304: I must go back on my own.
Mrs. Gloria lowered her face coldly and asked sternly, "What do you mean?"
Earlene returned without panic, "I've let you see Mark, so it's time for you to go!".
She gave the eviction order!
Mrs. Gloria and Mr. Juan looked at each other and Mr. Juan spoke up, "We're here to take Marcos home today."
At that, Earlene let out a laugh and said lightly, "Man, Marcos is not the same Marcos as before, he doesn't remember you guys, so what's the point of letting him go home with you?"
"Even if he has lost his memory, he is still my son, a man of The Leoz family."
Hearing Mr. Juan's words, Earlene's face changed slightly, "Whatever happens, you can't take him away."
"We must take him away!"
Both parties were adamant and the atmosphere was tense for a while.
At that point, Rawlins interjected, "Actually, neither of you is in a position to decide whether Marcos stays or goes."
Then he looked at Marcos and asked, "Do you want to stay here or go back to The Leoz Family with them?"
Marcos was silent, his eyes unconsciously glanced in the direction of the courtyard of the villa.
Paulina was in that direction.
He was about to utter a sound when Earlene, as if she saw what was happening, grabbed his hand nervously, "Marcos, you mustn't leave. I put my life on the line to save you and you promised your grandmother that you would take care of me for the rest of your life. Have you forgotten all that ... Do you want to let grandmother down?"
Mark slowly clenched his fist, his heart hardened and he said, "I'm sorry, I can't go home with you yet."
At those words, Mrs. Gloria's body lurched.
Mr. Juan rushed to her aid.
"Marcos, do you know what you are saying?" Mrs. Gloria didn't want to believe that he chose Earlene. "I'm sorry."
Another "I'm sorry."
Mrs. Gloria got emotional, "Mommy doesn't want your apology, Mommy just wants you to come home! Seeing Mrs. Gloria cry, Mark felt as if a large stone was pressing on his chest, making him gasp for breath.
He lifted his lips to say something, but could not utter a sound.
"Marcos, we all miss you so much!" Mrs. Gloria was still not giving up.
"Auntie, Marcos has made his decision, and I ask you not to push him anymore!" said Earlene.
At that, Mrs. Gloria let out a laugh, her sharp gaze turned to her, "How is the Bartram family a big and respectable family, aren't you afraid that they will laugh at the Bartram family if you steal someone's husband like that?" Earlene narrowed her eyes, with a cold stare.
"Is that what your parents taught you?" asked Mrs. Gloria again.
"Auntie, this has nothing to do with my parents!" Earlene said coldly.
"What do you mean it has nothing to do with?" Mrs. Gloria scoffed, "How can you be so cheeky if you weren't taught right?"
It was the first time Ms. Gloria said something so heavy.
Because she was really pissed off.
It was clear he was her son, and Earlene had the nerve to let him stay with the Bartram family.
"Auntie, that's a heavy word." Rawlins couldn't help but speak up, "My sister did do something wrong, but you shouldn't implicate my parents."
"I know your parents died young, so I can understand her doing something like that."
The implication of Ms. Gloria's words remained that it was a failure of family upbringing that had led Earlene to do such excesses.
"Uncle Paul, send in the guest!" Earlene raised her voice and shouted.
She feared that if Mrs. Gloria and the others stayed any longer, she would not be able to resist getting angry on the spot. Seeing that it was Mark, he would leave her alone.
Next, she set out to drag Marcos upstairs.
Ms. Gloria was quick to grab Marcos' other hand and said firmly, "You have to come back with us today."
With those words, she pulled Marcos toward the door.
"Mom..." Marcos almost blurted out, as if he was used to shouting that, it sounded especially familiar.
Only nothing came to him.
Ms. Gloria's eyes reddened, "Remember us?"
"No." Marcos answered truthfully.
"Then..." Mrs. Gloria was a little disappointed.
"Mom, give me more time and when I get my memory back, I'll come back on my own."
Earlene hadn't expected her to say that and her face changed instantly, "Marcos, what are you talking about?"
"Literally." Marcos replied weakly.
"You ..." Earlene realized at that moment that he had changed, he had become different.
"Marcos, you have always been the proudest son of mom and dad." Sister John looked at him, "Amnesia or not, he's still our son."
Marcos nodded, "I know. I'll find time to see you all again."
At those words, Mrs. Gloria turned to him, her disappointed gaze settled on him, "I don't want you to see us again, I want you to come home with us."
"Auntie, it's impossible for me to come home with you." Earlene said.
"Shut up!" scolded Mrs. Gloria in a stern voice.
Earlene suddenly blushed, "Auntie, because I'm the oldest, I'm going to suck it up for once, you better not overdo it."
"Overdo it?" Ms. Gloria let out a laugh as if she had heard a joke, her smile was full of disgust, "You stole from Paulina, you stole from Paulina's husband, you stole from my son, who exactly is overdoing it?" "Send in the guest!"
This time, Earlene dragged Marcos upstairs without looking back.
Ms. Gloria tried to go after her but was stopped.
"Marcos..." shouted Mrs. Gloria.
Marcos turned around, his heart sinking.
For a moment, he wanted to turn around and go down the stairs, walk up to them and tell them he was going home with them.
"Don't forget that I saved your lives, and don't forget the promise you made with your grandmother." Earlene's words sobered him instantly.
He withdrew his eyes and said in a weak voice, "I have not forgotten."
Paulina, who was outside, saw Sister John and the others coming out and hurried to greet them, "Have you seen Mark?"
Ms. Gloria nodded, "Yes, I have seen him."
Paulina realized she was crying and asked, "Mom, what's wrong?".
"It's not Marcos," Mr. Juan sighed heavily, "The boy just doesn't want to come home with us."
At these words, Paulina, despite her sadness, smiled slightly and said consolingly, "Dad, Mom, there is no way Marcos will come home now, all we can do is trust him and wait for him."
