Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1303: Don't let her in.
The next morning, Alvaro, Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria arrived at the Khans' house.
"Dad, Mom, what are you doing so early?" asked Paulina, quizzical.
"I haven't slept much all night, all I can think about is Marcos."
Speaking of which, Mrs. Gloria sighed, "Speaking of which, I really haven't seen Marcos in a long time."
At these words, Paulina's heart sank, "Mom, I'm sorry, it's because of me that Marcos he..."
"Silly girl, it's not your fault." Mrs. Gloria took her hand and caressed it, "Don't blame yourself, neither your father nor I meant to blame you."
"Son, you have assaulted yourself too." intervened Mr. Juan.
Paulina's eyes watered, she curved her mouth and shook her head, "I'm not aggravated, not at all."
"In-laws, have you had breakfast yet?"
The atmosphere was a bit subdued and Dulce took the floor to lighten the mood.
Mrs. Gloria smiled, "Yes."
"So, are you leaving now? Or later?" asked Dulce again.
"If we're leaving, we're leaving now." Edgar came down the stairs and approached them, "I spoke to Rawlins on the phone and he told us to go early, he happens to be home." Mrs. Gloria nodded, "Okay."
Paulina didn't bother with breakfast and left with Alvaro and the others.
On the way to the Bartram family, Mrs. Gloria grabbed Paulina's hand tightly.
"Paulina, is it true that Marcos has forgotten the past?" asked Mrs. Gloria.
Paulina said, "Yes," and with a tone that belied her loss, "He has forgotten everything."
The thought of her son forgetting himself made Mrs. Gloria sad. "When he sees your father and me, he will miss us and ask who we are."
Mrs. Gloria's eyes couldn't help but redden at the thought of that scene.
"Mom, don't feel bad, Marcos' memory loss is only temporary, he will remember us soon." whispered Paulina to calm her down.
"You must be having a worse time than I am." Mrs. Gloria patted her hand, "When Marcos comes home, you can go out for a nice vacation." Paulina smiled, "Good."
When they arrived at the Bartram family, their group was stopped outside.
"My lady has said that whoever comes, cannot enter the house." Uncle Paul, the official, came out and relayed Earlene's message to them.
"I just want to see my son!" said Mrs. Gloria with a serious look on her face.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry, you can't come in." Instead, Tio Pablo behaved kindly.
After all, the other man was from the Leoz family and didn't dare offend.
At that moment the Rawlins came out: "Let them in."
At this, Uncle Pablo made a surprised face, "Prince, you can't let them in, or the lady will be angry."
"Don't you all hear me?" asked Rawlins in a stern voice.
Uncle Paul immediately ducked his head, "I dare not."
"Then get out of the way and let them come in."
With no choice, Uncle Paul had no choice but to move the men out of the way.
"Thank you."
Paulina thanked the Rawlins and went inside with Mr. Juan and the others.
As soon as they entered the villa, they caught a glimpse of Earlene sitting in the parlor.
Earlene was not at all surprised to see them enter.
She placed the cup in her hand on the table, stood up and walked over, her eyes roaming over Paulina, Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria. "Hello, aunts and uncles." She nodded politely.
"Where's Marcos?" asked Mr. Juan.
"He's upstairs."
The person on the other end was Marcos' parents and Earlene was kind enough to answer truthfully.
"We want to see him." Mrs. Gloria bluntly stated the reason for her visit.
"Guys, I'm sorry, but Marcos is still sleeping and I'm afraid you won't be able to see him."
The implication was that she didn't want them to see Marcos.
"Earlene, if you won't let me see, fine. But why won't you let my parents see him?" questioned Paulina in disgust.
Earlene didn't make a sound.
Paulina took a deep breath, "They're Marcos' parents, who are you to stop them from seeing each other?"
"Ma'am. Earlene, Marcos is my son and I thank you for saving him. But you can't stop us from seeing him." Mr. Juan said aloud.
Earlene thought for a moment and nodded, "Yes, I will let you see him, but Paulina must leave."
At that, Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria were surprised, "Why?"
"Dad, Mom, it's okay, I'll go out if I go out, it's more important that you guys see Marcos first."
Paulina calmed them down and then said to Earlene, "I hope you won't give the two old men a hard time."
With those words, she turned and left.
Still unsure, Earlene called to the housekeeper, "Go keep an eye on her, they mustn't let her in."
"Yes!"
The butler hurried out with the order.
"Why are you going so far with this child?" Mrs. Gloria couldn't stand it any longer, "Paulina is Marcos' wife, why don't you let her see Marcos?" "Tia, if you want to see Marcos, then don't say anything." Earlene looked at her with an expressionless face.
"You!" Mrs. Gloria was too angry to speak.
If Marcos hadn't been here, she would have wanted to beat the crap out of Earlene!
Ignoring Mrs. Gloria's anger, Earlene sent someone upstairs to call Marcos downstairs.
After a few moments, Marcos appeared at the top of the stairs.
Upon seeing her son, whom she had not seen in a long time, Mrs. Gloria's eyes instantly filled with tears, "Marcos ...".
Even Mr. Juan's eyes were a little red.
They looked for a moment at Marcos who was coming down the stairs.
Marcos saw them with a look of complete strangeness, "Earlene, they are ..."
Without waiting for Earlene to answer, Mrs. Gloria hurried to say, "Marcos, I'm your mother, don't you remember?"
"My mother?" Marcos frowned, his eyes looked at the middle aged man standing next to him, she was his mother, so this man was not his father? "Brother, mom and dad know you're back in the country and wanted to come see you." Alvaro, who had remained silent, took the floor. Alvaro.
Marcos knew him, it was he who had brought the two children to him the last time.
Marcos was silent for a few seconds, his thin lips pursed and he said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I don't remember you."
Hearing this, Mrs. Gloria's tears welled up and she whined, "How can you forget us, child, how can you be so heartless." Heartless?
Marcos' heart ached.
"Well, it's not like the girl forgot about us on purpose." Mr. Juan said soothingly.
He then looked at Marcos, "Marcos, even if you have lost your memory, you should come home to see us and the baby."
"And Paulina," added Mrs. Gloria, "do you know how much she misses you? I don't know how many tears have fallen for you."
As she said that, Paulina's tearful face came immediately to Mark's mind.
His heart, more and more, ached.
"I'm sorry!"
Marcos didn't know what else to say except "I'm sorry."
Earlene feared that her presence would remind Marcos of something, so she said, "Well, you've seen the people, so you're almost done..."
