Let Me Love You Again -
Chapter 30
Nate
I changed the channel to a very explicit movie.
Nop. Not the time.
Mrs. Sheppar had left half an hour ago and made me promise to have Maya call her as soon as she woke up, which she should have done in a few minutes since it was time for her medication. Maya’s mother had left food for me, even though I told her it was useless and that I would order takeout, but she had electrocuted me and continued to cook without deserving me another word.
I heard footsteps and I turned, seeing Maya. She had a blanket on her, sweaty socks with unicorns, and her hair was tied. Her face was pale and her eyes shone as she passed a handkerchief under her nose.
I saw her inspecting the environment with her eyes before her gray eyes landed on me. Relief could be seen in them.
Did she really think I was gonna leave her alone and leave?
“You’re here,” she said, lifted up and slowly approaching before she threw herself on the sofa, covering herself with the blanket and resting her head on my legs.
“Should I be somewhere else?” I said, stroking her hair and moving some strands from her sweaty forehead.
“No,” she said simply, leaning at my touch and closing her eyes.
“How are you feeling?”
“Better. I feel lucky that I didn’t throw up. I hate to vomit,” she said, shivering.
“Said by the girl who cleans other people’s vomit from work,” I said, laughing.
Maya slapped me on the arm, “It’s different, barbarian. My vomit comes from me, and having that flavor in my mouth makes me vomit endlessly. When I was pregnant with Axel, all I did was throw up because the taste made my stomach spin,” she said, disgusted.
I laughed and kept stroking her head.
“About Axel, your mother said to call her as soon as you woke up.”
Maya opened her eyes suddenly, looking down at me, “What does that mean?” she said.
“It means you have to call her,” I answered calmly.
“How do you know?”
“She came by earlier with the groceries. She made a soup for you and gave me precise instructions threatening me,” I answered.
“Did my mother see you here?” she asked, I nodded and I kept her lying down when she tried to get up “What did she say?” she investigated.

I changed the channel to a very explicit movie.
“Something about it being the time I f****d you because your ex couldn’t get you to come,” I said, shrugging.
Maya looked up and punched me in the thigh, which turned out to be just a caress given her lack of strength.
“Can you stop being a d**k for once?” she rolled his eyes.
“I could, but why should I?” I said.
“She didn’t complain about anything?” she asked again, looking me in the eye.
“Nop. She was pretty quiet. She said if you get your fever up you’ll have to take baths in water and alcohol to cool down,” I said, moving a strand behind her ear.
“And did she make a soup?” she asked hopefully.
“It’s all for you in the pot, I just need to warm it up,” Maya snuggled more on me and closed her eyes.
“I should call her about Axel, I miss him so much,” she sighed.
“Axel’s better off, don’t worry, a few days and you can have him back,” I looked at the watch, “you have to take the medicine again,” I said “after you eat,” I added more to myself than to her.
“Will you stay here?” I looked down and found Maya’s sweet eyes staring at me.
“I don’t know what you’ll give me in return?” I asked, winking.
“A blow job?” she said with a flash of excitement in her eyes.
“Mmmh,” I said leaning toward her and brushing my lips with hers before kissing her cheek “As tempting as the idea is, I don’t think I would find it very appealing if you were to fall asleep while I’m f*****g you, I prefer you awake and responsive as you scream with my c**k in your mouth,” I said, gently moving it and lifting myself off the couch.
“So you’re leaving,” Maya said, looking down sad.
“I didn’t say that,” I stretched, noticing how Maya was snapping her head up and looking at me, “I’m going to have to get a takeout sandwich while I come here tomorrow during my lunch break and then stop by the pharmacy when I get off. Maybe a cough syrup could help all that phlegm,” I said, thinking.
“Do you Stay?” Maya lit up and sat down on her knees.
“Do you want me to leave?” I bent my head to the side and looked at her.
Maya shook her head and smiled.

I looked at the clock as I was doing in the last hour of the meeting. The hands of the clock seemed to go so slowly that time seemed to stand still. I didn’t get much rest last night. Maya got a fever, and she’d been tossing and turning all night, complaining constantly every time I passed the wet rag on her.
I was looking forward to lunch so I could run home and make sure she ate and took her meds. I sent her several texts she hadn’t answered.
One thing I noticed about Maya was that when she slept, not even a hurricane could wake her. I knew that being so sick took so much strength, but I wanted at least one I miss you like crazy, I really want to get well so that I can suck your d**k so much that you pass out, I wish I had your face between my legs, Thanks for cooling me off tonight.
But nothing, Maya was comfortably in bed sleeping like there was no tomorrow.
My dad kept babbling about the end of the year, about office successes, all of which I didn’t pay attention to.
A week from Christmas. Two days before Jess would leave for her coveted honeymoon and return with the New Year, this meant no Christmas with the harpy.
The city had been decorated for weeks now and, although I hadn’t noticed the time that passed, we were now on the most important holiday of the year and that gave us two weeks off from the office. Two weeks that I meant to spend between Maya’s legs.
I also got her a gift. Lingerie which, as soon as I saw it, I figured out about her and how I was gonna rip it off from her body.
My father ended his monologue by thanking everyone for the work done that year and then dismissed us. I immediately got up and rushed out of the room, going to my office and grabbing my things. I had two hours to get to Maya’s and back to the office, I could do it.
“Hey, Dare,” Chris said behind my back, “Lunch at the Holding?” he asked me as I put on my jacket.
“I can’t, I’m busy,” I walked out of my office and shut the door.
“What’s up with you mate, you’ve become so boring lately, you don’t come to bars and hang out with us anymore. Have you found a woman?” said Zeke, putting on his jacket.
“It’s no business of yours,” I said, turning to the elevators and waving at them.
