Why deceive me?? -
51. I Don't Know Her
Once she was outside his office in the hallway, she noticed the inquisitive eyes of all the employees. She stopped on her track and yelled. "What? Never seen a beautiful lady walking out of the office, you zombies?" She yelled and stormed off toward her car.
"I said it, she was insane," One said.
Damon smiled as he stroked Ronnie's hair.
"I'm sorry that happened," He said.
"It's ok, I'm contented with all these," She replied.
Damon looked at her, unsure of what to say.
"Katie," He called.
"Yes," She answered
"Are you sure this is you?" He asked
"What do you mean?" Ronnie said, feeling a little uncomfortable seeing where the topic was headed.
"I mean, you aren't Katie, right?" He asked
Ronnie gulped.
Damon smiled
"What are you so tensed? I was just teasin' you," He said and tapped her head.
Ronnie quietly breathed a sigh of relief. She smiled at him.
"You got me there, you know," She gently slapped his chest.
"Hey, don't do that. You're turnin' me on, you know?" He gently said, nibbling her ear.
Ronnie froze at the sensation she was feeling.
Damon nibbled on her ears for a while then moved to her neck. He used his hand to cup one of her breasts and gently massaged it. Ronnie unintentionally moved her body closer to him. She was enjoying the sensation until he moved his hand under her top and did her senses come back to her.
"Someone might barge in this time," She said.
He waved a remote at her face and smiled.
"Not unless I open the door," He said and bent his head to kiss her.
Ronnie smiled and withdrew.
"What is it? Are you hurt?" Damon asked, concerned.
"Not that," Ronnie began and her stomach made a growling sound. She bent her head in embarrassment and Damon laughed.
"I see. Your stomach needs more attention than it needs mine," He teased and lifted her down the desk.
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"To attend to your monster stomach of yours," Damon said and Ronnie smiled.
They walked down the office doors with the piercing gaze of the employees. Although they pretended to be engrossed in their work, Ronnie knew better than to fall for that. They walked down to the car park when Alan was spotted in the car, sleeping. Damon moves over to the window and tapped it. Alan woke up with a start and Ronnie giggled. "Sir," Alan said, stepping out of the car.
"What are you still doing here?" Damon asked, straight-faced.
Alan was confused at first.
"Oh, I brought Miss Katie here and was waiting to take her back," He explained
"So in other words, you are saying that I am incapable of taking my fiancee home," Damon said, glaring at Alan.
"Ahh, not that," Alan said and sighed in frustration.
Ronnie giggled again at the drama they were displaying. Alan caught her laughter and pointed at her.
"She's laughing at me," Alan whined
"Hey, you were the one who was calling me sweet names this morning when you came to pick me up," Ronnie said, playfully and stayed behind Damon. "You...you...you... How can you do this?" Alan said
"So you tried to woo my wife?" Damon asked.
"No. I would rather kill myself," Alan said again
"You mean I'm not pretty?"Ronnie asked
"You think you're pretty?" Alan asked, scornfully
"Ask Damon, he'll tell you," Ronnie said and held Damon by the hand.
"So you're saying she's not pretty and I made a wrong choice?" Damon asked.
"Oh come on, I'm tired," Alan said and sighed dejectedly.
Damon and Ronnie looked at each other and smiled.
"Alan, I'm taking Ronnie home by myself. You can have the time to yourself," Damon said and led Ronnie toward his car. Ronnie looked back at Alan and brought out her tongue to shame him. Alan looked at her, stupified. He wondered how she could be so free with him now.
Once there were seated inside the car, Damon started the engine and drove off.
Ronnie sat down quietly and smiled at him.
"So, what would you like to eat?" Damon asked.
"Anything, I'm so hungry," Ronnie said.
Damon just nodded and focused on the road.
Within minutes, they arrived at a fancy-looking restaurant. It was a good-looking place with a big billboard which cost a fortune. It read Lamborghini lunchroom. "Welcome here, again," Damon said to her, once they arrived inside.
Ronnie looked around and smiled.
"It's beautiful," She remarked.
"Wierd you didn't say that the first day we had our date," Damon replied
Ronnie but her lips. She tried to rephrase her words.
"I mean, I didn't pay attention to its beauty the first time," She said and smiled.
Damon shrugged and led her to a table. He drew a chair for her and she sat. When they were both seated, he picked up the menu and passed it to her
"I can't seem to choose what I want to eat. Maybe you can help," He said
She collected it and looked at it. Just at that moment, a waiter came into view.
"Welcome again sir, it's been a long since you visited us," She said and beamed.
"Oh, that. I've been busy." Damon replied.
"Thanks for defending me the other day," she said.
"It's no problem," He replied and looked at Ronnie, who was busy looking for what to order from the menu.
The waitress that arrived at their table was flashing a smiling face. She was a young lady of about twenty-two. Round face and straight legs. Lush skin and could easily pass for a model. She was the same waitress on Damon's and Katie's first date. She was the same lady Katie insulted.
The waitress looked at Ronnie with disapproval. "Welcome again too, ma'am," She didn't sound welcoming at all.
"We would like to have these, please," She said, pointing at a particular section of the menu.
"Ok," The waitress said, took the menu, and left the table, straight face.
"Looks like you and that waitress have one thing in common. Beefing at each other. Aren't you gonna apologize?" Damon questioned.
"What should I do? I didn't do anything wrong. I just gave her my order," Ronnie defended herself.
"You've not met her?"Damon asked.
Ronnie shook her head. "I'm sure I would remember if I did,"
"Oh, I just thought you knew her," Damon said and sipped his drink which was placed on the table previously while looking at Ronnie.
