The Lycan King's Rejected Queen
The Lycan King’s Rejected Queen Chapter 66

“Please trust me, I didn’t do anything.”

Aaron shouted,

“I don’t trust you. I am rejecting you as my Queen and giving you the punishment of death.”

Everyone was shocked when they heard what Aaron said.

Ava felt someone was clenched her heart with claws. She felt like she was burning. Her heart was burning inside. She felt her life was already finished by his words.

A sharp pain in her heart raised the feeling of shattering inside.

‘Punishment of death?’

She could not believe what he was saying. She could not believe that her mate was ordering something like that.

He was the same person who licked her wound to lessen her pain. He was the one who saved him when she needed someone to help. He was the one who spent some with her in the village fair. Ava thought, was he really that man who gave his shoulder to her to lean on?

She fell on the floor and looked down. She felt numb. Her mind was not processing at all.

How did all of this happen?

Beta Lucas came to Aaron. “Aaron, what are you saying? Punishment of death?”

Aaron looked at him angrily. “The woman who killed my father will only get Death Sentence.

I, King Aaron, will not accept her and want her to die.”

“But-“

Aaron put forward his right hand to stop Beta Lucas. He did not want his best friend to convince him for the woman who killed his father. He did not want any of his friends to persuade him to let that woman go.

‘She played with me. She played with my mind and my heart. She thought she would get away from my punishment just because I fell for her? No, she is very wrong. I am not that weak who can not punish the killer of my father because of my heart. Nothing can be my weakness. Not even my own heart and feelings.’ Aaron thought.

He looked at Beta Lucas and said,

“Arrange everything, Beta Lucas. After two days the killer of the former King of this kingdom will be hanged to death.”

Alina closed her eyes. Her hands were shaking. She wanted to go back to her old life. She was praying that all of this was just a nightmare and when she would open her eyes, everything would be normal.

She did not want this. She did not want to die.

They would kill her, how could she save her life.

She opened her eyes and looked around. She wanted to find her parents but they were not there, only guards and no maids. The officials did not allow anyone to come and see their private matters. Though a royal matter would never be private, King Aaron was not like other kings. He decided to keep his father’s death a secret.

Other Alphas who were afraid of him now would laugh at him, if they got to know about this. They would think that the king Aaron could not protect his own father and the murderer was none other than his own mate.

Aaron was about to leave the pack house but Alina stood up and ran to him. She hugged him from behind.

“M-Mate I-I swear I didn’t do anything. I could never think about it. I am not like this. You know me.”

Aaron closed his eyes tight. He loved this woman but what she did broke his heart totally. She destroyed his life and his family.

He would not believe in anyone again in his life. He learned his lesson. She taught him this lesson, not to believe in anyone, not to believe in love.

Aaron grabbed her both hands and pushed her. She fell on the floor.

Aaron looked at the guards and told them, “Take her away from my sight.”

Alina looked at Aaron shocked. Took her away? Her mate wanted her to go away from him? He wanted to kill her? What happened to him? Why didn’t he believe in her? She could not understand why everyone was behaving with her like this. They didn’t even tell her how Atlas died. They were just blaming her.

She shook her head. “Mate, just believe in me please. I didn’t do anything. I was in my room. Crystal was there with me in the morning. She even took my gown to fit the gown. I fell asleep after that. You can ask Crystal if she came to my room and put it down there. Ask her when she went there and if she saw me sleeping in my room or not.”

Aaron did not want to listen to her excuses anymore.

Alina wanted to prove herself again. She wanted to tell him that she did not come out of her room the whole day, so how could she kill anyone outside?

Crystal stood up slowly and frowned at her.

“What are you saying Alina? Why are you lying? When did I come to your room? I was outside the whole day. I was with my aunt the whole day. Then I went to buy a gift for you but ended up in this accident.”

Alina’s eyes widened. “W-Why a-are you lying, Crystal?” Alina asked with her shaken voice.

“Lie? I can’t understand why you are lying Alina? When did I come to your room? And it proves nothing even if I came to your room.”

The official narrowed their eyes to Crystal. They did not like her from the start.

“If she is saying you went to her room then we should find out about this.” Delta Darren said.

Crystal looked at him. “Delta Darren, do you think I am lying? Why would I lie when it is about life and death?”

Alina could not believe her best friend refused to help her. But why was she even lying? Did she not come to her room? Was she dreaming about everything?

She looked at the officials and told them, “There was a maid who came to my room with breakfast. After her, Crystal came to my room. You can ask the maid.”

Aaron just stared at Alina with his angry eyes. He wanted to give her every chance to prove his mother wrong. He himself did not want this. But his mother saw her with her own eyes. He believed in her mother blindly. She would never lie to him.

Beta Lucas called the maid who went to her room with breakfast.

The maid came while trembling in fear.

“Did you go to Alina’s room with breakfast?”

The maid nodded slowly.

“Did you see Crystal going to her room when you were leaving? Or If you see Crystal anywhere at that time?”

The maid shook her head. “No, I didn’t see Miss Graham going to her room. In fact I was the one who took Miss Graham’s breakfast when she was leaving her room. I told her to have her breakfast before going outside but she told me that she was in a hurry and could not have her breakfast.”

Alina felt tugged in her heart hearing the maid.

She did not know why everyone was lying today. Why were they doing this to her?

Alina turned to Aaron to explain to him again but he did not look at her again.

Aaron ordered his guards,

“Put her in the dungeon now and lock her up there until the day of her death.”

He had given her enough chances to prove herself. But not anymore. He would not listen to her bullsh!t again.

He told his officials to arrange everything soon to bury his father’s coffin which would be done in the mid night.

All the officials were helpless. They did not know what they would do. Each and every proof was against Alina. They would believe her but Queen Mother Daisy was not the woman of lies.

When she was telling that she saw Alina killing her husband and she clearly saw Alina’s face, that was the biggest proof against Alina.

They nodded to King Aaron and left the pack house for all the arrangements.

Aaron looked at Alina for the last time and left the pack house too.

Alina stared at the main door of the pack house from where Aaron left just now.

She felt someone grab her hands. She immediately pushed the hand and looked up. She saw one of the guards again tried to hold her hands.

“DON’T TOUCH ME.” She shouted.

Daisy looked at Alina and then at those guards. Revenge was the only thing in her eyes. She only wanted the killer of her husband to die.

She said to the guards,

“Didn’t you hear what your King has ordered you all? Take her to the dungeon Now.”

Alina looked at Daisy. “Mom please believe me. I didn’t do anything. I don’t know why you are saying that but please stop all of this. I don’t want to die. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t kill Uncle Atlas please.

Daisy looked away. ‘This girl is still acting like this? I want to kill this girl right now. I thought my son would not give her death. But my son has proved me wrong. He is the King of hearts. He will never let anyone come between his kingdom and his personal life. He did not forgive this traitor girl. He will punish her just what is in the rule of this kingdom.

Death for Death.’

When Alina saw Daisy was not replying to her so she turned to Crystal. She wanted to convince her best friend for the last time. She wanted to try till the end. She could not just die. She did not want to die like that. She did not want to die with a blame of a murder. She wanted to ask her best friend why she lied and why wasn’t she helping her?

“Crystal I swear of our friendship, I didn’t do anything. Why did you lie that time, Crystal? Why don’t you tell them that you saw me in my room? Please Crystal do something and help me. I don’t want to die Crystal please. You have always supported me, right? Why can’t you believe me now? Please Crystal, tell them I didn’t do anything please.”

Alina was sitting and begging to her best friend to support her. But she also turned her back from her.

Alina wanted to scream for her parents to help her to save her life. However she did not want her parents to die for her. She knew if she involved her parents they would die with her too.

Her parents just started to show their love for her, they came here just for her wedding, they were staying here after so many insults just for her. Then how could she involve them in this mess with her?

She could not do that. She prayed for herself. She wanted to live. She wanted to go back to her past. She wanted all of this to just become a nightmare and she would wake up soon.

But reality was very brutal. Her own mate did not believe her. Her best friend was refusing to help her. The woman who she thought and cared about just like her mother was lying to everyone that she killed her husband.

Alina closed her eyes and said to herself.

‘I Don’t Want To Die, I Want To Live.’
