Alina was shocked by Daisy’s question.

‘K-Kill him? M-Me?’ She thought.

She said, “M-Mom, W-What are you s-saying?”

Alina looked again at Atlas’s dead body.

Atlas’s dead body was lying in a black coffin. There was a wooden stake pierced into his chest.

“Now you are pretending like you didn’t do anything??” Daisy asked angrily.

Alina turned her head to Daisy. “Mom, listen to me.”

“Don’t call me Mom. You are such a shameless girl. I always supported you to become my son’s wife. In my whole life, nobody could win my heart. But I had a soft corner for you. I thought you were an unloved girl, your parents did not care for you, so I began to care for you. I thought I would give you the love of a mother. But what did you do? Killed my husband? Why Alina Why???”

Daisy said while shaking Alina’s shoulder.

Tears rolled down Alina’s cheeks. Alina’s mind was a mess. What Daisy was saying? Killing her husband? When did she kill her husband? She did not even come out of her room since last night.

“I-I don’t know what you are saying, Mom. I didn’t even come out of my room the whole day.”

Daisy wanted to kill Alina. She dared to lie in front of her when Daisy saw her with her own eyes how Alina killed her husband.

“For the first time in my life, I have made a mistake in understanding a person. I thought I could know people’s original personalities by observing them but you are a very good actor. I have lost in front of your acting. Supporting and caring for you was the biggest mistake in my life.”

“No no. Mom. Why are you saying this? I didn’t do anything to Uncle Atlas.”

“Don’t you dare call his name with this dirty mouth of yours.” Daisy warned her.

Alina stepped aback. “I-I didn’t-“

“Why did you do that Alina? He told you last night that until he was alive you could not become the Queen. That was why you made this master plan to kill him, right? How did you manage this pure wooden stake? I thought you were a sweet girl. But you are a too sweet girl who killed my husband with a smirk as if it was nothing to you.”

Alina was frightened. She did not know why Daisy was saying that she killed her husband. Why was she lying to everyone?

Alina looked around helplessly when her eyes fell on the man who was sitting on the couch calmly. He was not looking at her but at his father’s dead body.

She stared at Aaron. He was looking fierce. He was looking the same when Alina saw him kill the young man.

But Alina knew this man had changed a lot. She believed that Aaron would trust her.

She ran to him. Aaron did not look at her.

Alina kneeled down in front of him.

She said softly. “Mate.”

Nobody let out a single word. Everyone was silent. Aaron was silent too. He was only looking at his father’s body.

Alina continued, “Mate, I didn’t do anything.”

Alina thought Aaron would listen to her.

But she was shocked when Aaron suddenly grabbed her hair and looked at her.

“Are you telling me that my mom is lying to me?”

Alina’s eyes widened. Aaron had never behaved with her like that.

“I-I d-didn’t do anything. Pl-Please-“

Aaron’s grip on her hair tightened. He glared at her. Alina could see his red eyes. She gasped. Tears kept dropping from her eyes.

“Aaron-” Beta Lucas wanted to stop Aaron.

“Don’t.” Aaron said and turned to Beta Lucas.

“Don’t interfere today. I don’t want anyone to talk in this matter.”

Beta Lucas shut his mouth.

All the officials stopped thinking about stopping Aaron.

Daisy came to her husband’s coffin and sat there. She wiped her tears and did not speak again.

Aaron looked at his mother and turned to Alina.

“You dared to kill my father? Why? Because of the Queen’s position, right?”

Alina shook her head numerous times.

“No. Believe me. I didn’t do anything. I haven’t even come out of my room since last night. If you can’t believe me you can ask Crystal.”

Aaron looked at Delta Darren. Darren nodded and called Crystal immediately.

“Where are you?”

“I just had an accident.” Crystal replied.

“Accident?”

Everyone looked at Delta Darren.

“Come to the pack house right now.”

“Why? The ceremony will start in two hours, right? I still have time.”

Delta Darren almost yelled at her. “Come back in ten minutes.”

Crystal said she was coming.

“I don’t believe in anyone. My mother saw you kill my father. But still, I am giving you a chance Alina to anyhow prove to me that you are not the one. Otherwise, you can not imagine what will happen to you.” Aaron said

He left Alina’s hair and pushed her hard so that Alina fell back.

She looked at Aaron. Why was he not believing her? What was happening with her? Didn’t she feel happy some time ago? She was not feeling well in the morning so she slept the whole day but when she woke up she was seeing this? Alina thought she was watching a nightmare again.

She told herself that when Crystal came, everything would be okay.

A few minutes later,

Crystal came back to the pack house. Her two hands and legs were bandaged.

She looked shocked when she saw Atlas’s body lying in the coffin.

“Uncle!!!”

She tried to run to Atlas’s body but she fell down on the floor.

Theta Cooper went to her and helped her to stand up. “What happened to you?” He asked.

“I was standing beside the road and suddenly I saw a little boy trying to cross the road but a car was coming from the side of him. So I tried to save him but ended up in an accident.”

Beta Lucas frowned, “Where did you go?”

Crystal replied, “I went to buy a wedding gift for Alina without telling her. I thought I would surprise her but because of this accident, I could not go to buy it.”

Crystal slowly walked to Atlas’s coffin and cried.

“Uncle, what happened to you?”

Without telling anything to anyone she pulled out the wooden stake from Atlas’s chest.

It happened so hurriedly that nobody could stop her.

Beta Lucas got angry and grabbed Crystal’s arm.

“Why did you pull it out without asking us?? We could have checked the fingerprint of Alina with that.”

Crystal looked stunned. “Alina? What are you saying??”

Aaron glared angrily when he saw what Crystal did but when Lucas talked about the fingerprints he growled at Beta Lucas.

“Do you still believe in this woman??? You are telling me my mom is lying about her husband’s murderer?”

Daisy was feeling numbed in her whole body. Her brain was frozen while looking at her husband’s dead body.

She did not want to listen to anyone. She just wanted justice for her husband. She was waiting for her son’s word.

Crystal looked at Alina.

Alina wanted to tell Crystal to explain to everyone what had happened today but Crystal stopped her thoughts.

“Alina? How could you do this?”

Hearing this from her best friend, Alina felt she had lost everything.

“I-I didn’t do-“

“How could you kill him? Didn’t you know that he was the only supporter in my life? He gave me a family. He accepted me when I lost everyone. He was my parents to me. You killed him? Why Alina Why?”

Crystal said and began to cry out loud.

Aaron turned to Alina with his glowing eyes.

Alina shook her head and stood up. She wanted to talk to Crystal.

She went to her and said,

“Crystal told them that I didn’t leave my room the whole day. You came to my room to give me back my gow-“

Crystal interrupted Alina and asked,

“B***d? What is B***d doing in your gown Alina?”

Alina looked down and saw small b***d stains on her dress.

Everyone looked at her dress carefully. The b***d stains were on the back side of the gown.

So Alina did not notice when she wore the gown.

She could not be more shocked.

Someone immediately grabbed her throat and pushed her into a wall.

It was so fast that Alina could not get the time to take a breath. Someone was strangling her.

She opened her eyes and saw it was none other than her mate.

“M-Mat-“

Aaron’s grip on her throat tightened so Alina could not speak more.

“You vicious woman! You killed my father and now you are making me a fool again? How did you do that? After everything, I still gave you a chance to prove yourself. Looks like you are the real murderer.”

Alina shook her head.

Devin spoke again,

“I have always shown you my good side but now you will see who King Aaron is. You thought you could kill my father and become the Queen?”

Tears never stopped coming out of Alina’s eyes. She felt she would die if Aaron kept strangling her for a few more seconds.

“I thought you were childish and weak. I thought you were different from others. I am the King of Lycans but I thought someone grabbed my heart. But that someone was acting all the time in front of me while dripping her crocodile tears. I had never imagined that. Others are afraid to talk with me and here you are playing with me like I was just a toy of your hand.”

Alina closed her eyes while crying.

“The Omega like you do not deserve the place beside me. I should have trust in my father. If I believed him that day, maybe he would be alive today.”

He let go of her throat. Alina immediately started to cough.

“M-Mate listen to m-“

“Now you have to take the same punishment for killing a royal former King.”

Everyone stared at Aaron. Even Daisy also looked at Aaron when she heard that.

Alina tried to convince him again,

“Please trust me, I didn’t do anything.”

Aaron shouted,

“I DON’T TRUST YOU. I AM REJECTING YOU AS MY QUEEN AND GIVING YOU THE PUNISHMENT OF DEATH.”
