The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 132

Luna Mary stood beside her Alpha, chewing on a chicklet of gum, absentmindedly winding it round her finger, and popping it back in her mouth. Luna Katie glanced over and smiled at Mary, she had always loved the woman and her homely attitude to everything.

Alpha George was the last remaining leader of the enemy packs, he growled in anger as he saw his nemesis the Wearside Pack stood shoulder to shoulder with the Northumberland pack. He knew all to well that he was low on numbers, but his anger and rage at loosing the battle with Crescent moon still boiled in his veins. He cared not about the fate of the wolves who now looked to him for leadership, the only thing on his mind was doing as much damage as they could, and if he were able to strike a blow to the Wearside Alpha, then that was all for the better.

Simon Dixon sat in his old wooden hut on the edge of the Rising Moon pack, just five miles from the border of the Northumberland Pack. Although Alpha Aiden had an alliance agreement with Alpha Zander, and Alpha Liam, they had remained neutral in this war. All Simon thought about as he rolled himself another joint, was just how happy he was back in his home, and not living in the Academy. He hated that job, his Alpha sending him to teach, when all he wanted was to sit back, relax and get high. Lighting up the herbal cigarette he inhaled deeply, letting the effects of the cannabis take effect, chilling him out. Right now, even though there was war all around him, he was in his happy place, undisturbed, nobody caring what he did, and no teenagers to try his patience. Blowing the smoke into the air, Simon tilted his head back on his chair, thinking about the chemical reaction his brain was now experiencing, due to the artificial stimulation of the weed. It really was quite fascinating to think about the calming nature smoking the hemp plant, and just what it could do to a body. Maybe if all the Alpha’s partook in his recreational activities, there would be less fighting. Simon Dixon was of the opinion that you should make love, not war. Well not when dealing with teenage students, that was always all out war.

His peaceful existence was soon interrupted, with the sound of howls in the distance. Simon let out a frustrated sigh, why could life just leave him alone, pass him by so that he could enjoy his chilled-out experience.

Stubbing out the butt of his home-made herbal cigarette Simon stood up, if this battle overspilled onto Risen Moon lands, then they would no longer be neutral, and he waited for the order to come from his Alpha.

Alpha Harry bit the leg of the enemy wolf that moved to attack him, glancing over at his beloved Mate, he saw she was more than holding her own, and he continued to fight. Alpha Liam was younger and stronger, he and his pack were taking the brunt of the action, but that did not mean Harry was weak in anyway. Spinning around like a wolf half his age, he positioned himself in a better position, clamping down on the neck of the fighter he had disabled. He could see Alpha George standing back, growling at him his eyes ablaze with anger.

Alpha George rushed forward, he wanted to destroy the Wearside pack, wipe them off the face of the earth. Truth be told he did not care if the werewolf community were ran by a corrupt council or a King and Queen, if Harry had stood with Ken and Amanda, George would have joined Zander, just on the principle of being on the opposing side to that pack. Jumping into the air Alpha George shifted attempting to land on the back of Harry, only he moved last minute, and he found nothing but soft, muddy earth beneath his paws.

George let out a frustrated growl, turning to face Harry. The two wolves circled each other snarling and snapping, in the werewolf version of a Mexican stand-off, neither making the first move.

Mary watched her mate circle with George, her heart pounding in her chest. Momentarily distracted she found herself being dragged along the ground. Twisting and turning to free herself from the grip it was no use. Mary took a deep breath, calming herself, she would go limp, relax, shift back to human and wait for the perfect opportunity to get free and fight once more. As she looked around she saw that a group of the enemy wolves were following her, taking her away from the battlefield as they ran in fear of their lives. She understood that she was being taken captive, a bargaining chip to force the surrender of her mate, and she would never let him do that. Her pack were her children, and she would die to protect them from being dismantled or taken over by Tynedale.

Alpha Liam stood back-to-back with his Luna, as they fought the wolves with relative ease, he glanced over the battlefield, to see Harry and George having a face off, he knew this was personal for the pair, so he left them to it, for now.

George finally made the first move, biting Harry’s snout. A loud involuntary whimper escaped from Harry’s mouth, making George smile with joy. Hearing the pain of this Alpha made his heart glad, he would not deny that. As the smile formed on his lips his jaw slackened, and Harry was able to pull free, immediately attacking George once more.

Luna Katie searched the battlefield for Mary, her eyes wide with fear as she could not find her, glancing over at Harry, she saw the Alpha still fought, he was not crippled by the severing of a mate bond, and that calmed her heart a little. She continued to look around, then saw running in the distance a group of wolves, Mary being dragged along the ground between them.

“Liam, they have Mary.” Katie shouted to her mate over mind link.

Liam bit down on the neck of another attacker, before glancing over to where his mate was looking.

“You take some warriors Katie, save her, I will help Harry, before he realises the enemy has his mate and it compromises him.” Liam stated.

Katie nodded and her Gamma and two warriors, then made chase after Mary.

Simon stood watching. In the distance he saw wolves running towards his cottage. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he linked with his Alpha, to let him know, that they could no longer remain neutral, the war was coming to their lands.

Alpha Aiden had been waiting, a lot of his pack were frustrated at his lack of action, but the truth was, they were a very small pack, and Alpha Zander had agreed that they do not join the main battle, only fight if the enemy reached their lands. His job was to keep the enemy from returning to Ullswater, to halt their progress.

“Simon, if they come onto our lands, fight, I will send back up.” Aiden ordered

Once more Simon Dixon let out a long breath, he was a lover, not a fighter, but still, just like his job at the school, he would do his duty, granted, half-heartedly, but even though he did not like it, he would obey his Alpha command.

The wolves, ran over the border onto Risen Moon lands, heading towards the old wooden hut, it was the quickest way through, so that they may reach the safety of the Ullswater pack lands. Seeing a lone wolf stood they felt confident they would easily overpower him.

Alpha Liam jumped between Harry and George as the fighting wolves bit chunks out of each other.

“Liam, he is mine.” Harry growled out to the younger Alpha.

“They have kidnapped your mate, now is not the time for pride, we need to finish this.” Liam shouted back.

Harry let out an almighty growl, so loud and fierce the trees around them shook under its force.

George lunged forward, as Liam grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, and Harry took his snout in his mouth, and the pair shuck him in unison, until the wolf stilled, his eyes rolling back, and he changed back to human, the last enemy Alpha was dead.

Katie ran as fast as she could, reaching the Risen Moon border, then looked around, seeing the wolves running straight into the path of a lone wolf, who smelt of cannabis even from this distance. They guy wouldn’t stand a chance.

“Go.” She shouted to her gamma, as he ran ahead of her, to help Simon Dixon out.

Simon walked towards the approaching wolves; his hands raised as if in surrender.

“Let that Luna go.” He commanded in a nonchalant voice.

The enemy wolves, looked at each other, why would they do that when the wolf before them was little more than a stoner and was no threat to them.

“No, let us through.” One of them shouted back.

“Hey, let her go, we can all get high, I have enough weed for all of us. Let’s just stop all this nonsense.” Simon sighed out.

“Are you for real? You are a disgrace of a werewolf.” Another shouted in disgust.

Simon sighed, cracking his neck from side to side.

“As you wish.” He stated, then shifted, jumping towards them baring his teeth.

Mary grinned, the wolves had loosened their grip on her, and she twisted, round, punching one of her captors in his jaw, before round kicking another, sending him crashing into the side of Simon’s home, making the wood splinter and crack.

Jumping up, Mary shifted once more into her wolf, landing perfectly on the back of one of her captors, biting his neck at the jugular. The wolf whimpered as it felt to the ground, the wound did not kill him outright, but it was fatal, and the sound of gurgling as he tried to gulp for air through the congealed b***d gathered in his windpipe rang out, before his eyes rolled back and he shifted dead on the ground.

Simon’s wolf fought; he was almost feral, due to him not shifting for over fifty years. He quickly overpowered the wolf in front of him, killing him with a snap of his jaw.

Only two more enemy wolves remained, and instantly they rolled on their backs in surrender. Simon shifted back, walking away, as Katie and her warriors approached, he went back into his house, calmly rolled another joint, sat back on his seat, and lit it up, letting out a sigh of relief that once again he could concentrate on getting high.

Chloe sat cradling Hannah in her arms giving her a feed, as Phoenix napped peacefully beside her on the bed. She was trying her hardest not to allow her anxious mind that was focusing on what was happening at the Northumberland pack transfer onto the children. It had been three hours since Liam had called to say they would happily deal with Alpha George and the remaining enemy wolves on their own, and although that should fill her with relief that they were not needed, she found it more stressful sitting waiting for news. As she softly sung a lullaby to Hannah as she fed from the bottle, Chloe looked up to see Zander stood leaning against the doorway.

“I have news.” He smiled at her.

Chloe looked into the amber eyes of her mate, her heart pounding in her chest.

“It is over, the victory is ours.” He softly said, so as not to disturb the children.

Chloe looked down at her sleeping daughter beside her, and Hannah, and let out a long breath, tears filling her eyes.

“It is finished.” Chloe stated.

Zander nodded his head, a small smirk on his face.

“Yes, and now we move forward, to have a free and impartial election, let the werewolves of this land decide if they want to be ruled by a council who answer to no one, or a council that answer to us. Either way, the battles are done. No more senseless death.”

Chloe let out a long breath, as she repeated once more.

“It is finished.”
