The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 127

“SIGN THE ORDERS.” Amanda’s voice screeched in desperation.

No matter what torture they put Peter through he refused to sign, to end his suffering.

A smile teetered on Peters lips, he knew his time on this earth was coming to an end, his wolf had already retreated, no longer reachable, his life b***d was draining from his body, it would only be a matter of minutes before his lack of b***d caused his heart to fail. Death, he welcomed it, but he would not die a coward, he would never sign those papers. Time was fleeting, for over three hundred years he had lived, yet in his final moments, his long life passed before his eyes, feeling like it were mere hours since the day he was born.

Another kick hit his face, but the pain no longer registered, as he felt himself slipping away, a bright light shined down on him. The voices and shouts of Amanda and Ken no longer registered, the words illegible to his ears, they were growing more distant. Peter knew he had only seconds left before he joined his beloved mate, he forced his eyes to focus on Amanda, then his voice barely a whisper, he smiled at her.

“You lose.”

Peters head fell to the side, his body limp as his last breath left his body, the victorious smile still on his white lips.

“AGHGHGHGHGH!” Amanda screamed out.

“I told you we should have used a witch!” she pointed her bony finger in Ken’s chest.

“And I told you, they are watching for dark power, and would have been alerted. It doesn’t matter, once we win this war we can make new laws, let the wolves vote, it doesn’t mean we have to adhere to their wishes.” Ken huffed.

“We need to get back to Ullswater.” Amanda shouted pacing the room impatiently.

She did not want to be here for too long, fearful that the enemy arrived and attacked. She knew she would never win in a physical fight with those wolves. Her need for self-preservation took over, she required the protection of Ullswater, to hide behind their strength, so her weakness was not exposed to the world.

“We will go now; I need to prepare to lead my warriors in victory during the final attack.” Ken sighed.

He was disappointed they had not won this political battle; it would have made life so much easier in the long term. If Peter had signed those documents, he could have ended this war without facing the battlefield himself, but now, it was impossible to avoid. Ken supressed a shiver of fear that began to wash over him, at the thought of fighting with Zander Colton. He knew a fair fight with the Ultima wolf would most likely result in his own demise. The only way he could succeed was to weaken him. Kill his brother and mate, kill his former beta and his mate, and most of all Kill the purple haired b***h that was his mate, he did not believe her to be that powerful, after all, she only accessed her wolf less than a year ago, she had been brought up as human, by weak humans, there was no way she could beat fully trained warriors and the alphas of his allies. They would kill her before he faced Zander Colton, and he would then be weak enough for Ken to be victorious.

Joshua snapped the neck of yet another warrior from the enemy alliance, as he watched a group of them file off and head away from the battle towards the cottage. He wondered if Liane had done what she was supposed to do.

“Communication update.” He mind linked one of the omegas hiding between the packs.

A few moments later, as he spun out of the proximity of a pair of large wolf jaw’s he got his response.

“Warriors are now in place, Liane has returned to help Silver moon.”

Hearing the confirmation, he needed, he shouted his alpha command to his pack.

“SHIFT!”

Each silverback pack warrior on the battlefield instantaneously shifted into their werewolves. Jerry quick to bite onto the wolf that Josh had spun away from, killing him almost instantly with his superior strength. He did not know which of the enemy packs these wolves came from, but he knew they lacked in fighting ability, they were no where near as trained as his own pack, and this filled him with renewed hope.

Four warriors from the enemy packs ran towards the cottage.

“Get his mate, kill her and the pup, do not wait, it is the only way to defeat him.” The leader of the group commanded.

They barged through the cottage door, to be faced with over twenty Silverback pack warriors, a look of shock on their face, as each of them succumbed to the superior strength of those wolves, each of them dying where they stood. The silverback warriors instantly pushed forward, moving towards the rear of the attacking werewolves, then began their push forwards.

The enemy wolves were surrounded, with no way to escape, they were outnumbered, outsmarted, and their physical abilities were no match for Joshua’s highly trained wolves. A few of the enemy wolves retreated, running away into the forest.

“Alpha, do we chase them down?” someone shouted over the mind link

“NO, stick to the plan.” Josh commanded.

The last of the attacking wolves were killed, this first part of the war won, and Josh let out a sigh of relief.

“We Need Liane.” Josh mind linked the communication omegas.

A few seconds later Liane appeared at his side.

“Transport our injured to Ethan, or the seriously injured to the Hospital please, then come straight back to get our remaining warriors to Silvermoon.” Josh ordered.

“Yes Alpha.”

Liane walked around the silverback wolves, quickly gathering the injured who could be easily healed by Ethan, and quickly transported them to the healer.

Ethan sat on the edge of the Crescent moon battlefield. It was eerily quiet, it felt wrong knowing Josh and Robins packs were in a full battle, yet here there was nothing but peace and quiet. Ethan knew this was the calm before the storm, and soon this area would be overran by waring wolves. He took a deep breath, to centre himself, preparing for the injured who would soon arrive.

Liane appeared, with 10 wolves from Silverback pack, who had various injuries, that were not to taxing on his gift.

Ethan quickly got to work, touching the wounded warriors.

“You are all to report to the pack house and await further instructions.” Ethan informed them.

Chloe stood looking out onto the quiet pack lands, it felt wrong on so many levels to remain here and not rush to help Robin and Josh, but it was part of the plan, one that would outsmart the enemy. Her thoughts drifted to Phoenix and Nicki, as she wondered how they were doing hiding out at the church.

“Ellie, how is everyone, any problems?” Chloe linked with the young omega warrior.

“All is good here, pups are asleep, Nicki is pacing the floor with worry, but other than that, she is baring up okay.” Ellie responded.

“Let her know Josh is good, the latest report is he had successfully defended the Silverback pack. That may calm her down a little bit” Chloe linked back, she knew all to well the fear of waiting to find out if your mate was okay and feeling helpless and desperate with worry.

“I will, Vicar Ted is busy praying with her, it seems to help a little.” Ellie linked back.

Chloe let out a long sigh, good, she was happy Ted could bring some peace to her best friend’s fraught emotions.

The doors to the pack house opened, as the newly healed warriors entered the room. Zander stood his arms folded across his broad checks as he gathered them to him.

“How many of ours died?” he asked.

“A few, the seriously injured are being transported to the hospital now, Alpha Josh is on his way to support Alpha Robin as we speak.” The warrior answered bowing his head.

A small tear fell onto Chloe’s cheek, this was the result of asking their pack and allies to fight, some of them would not survive, and guilt began to claw its way into her resolve to fight to the bitter end.

“Are you all recovered?” Zander asked.

“Yes Alpha.” The group of warriors nodded.

“I would like to personally thank you for your service to your pack. I give you all an option now, you may move out to the church, your work done, no one will blame you if you do that. Alternatively if you wish to return to battle in Silvermoon, you may do so. There is no pressure, or condemnation on whatever you each decide.” Zander smiled at the men and women before him.

“I will fight on.” One stepped forward.

“Hell yeah, I am fighting.” Another said.

One by one they each announced their willingness to continue back into battle, and Zander nodded his head in approval. He wished he could go with them, but he knew the largest attack would soon be upon them, and he had to remain in his own pack lands, if they were to maintain the upper hand on the enemy.

Alpha Hamish and Alpha Douglas walked into the living area.

“Zander, we have been talking, both of us agree two more Alphas on the battlefield will help Robin, we would like to go join the fight.” Hamish announced.

Chloe looked into the piercing green eyes of the redheaded Alpha, he smiled at her warmly.

“I insist Chloe, but should the worst happen to both of us, I ask that you protect Hazel, our darling little girl and future Alpha until she is of age to take over the pack.” Hamish nodded at her.

“Hamish.” Chloe breathed, for all these two were alphas they were from a peaceful pack, they had remained neutral for years, neither of them of them were trained fighters, nor did they have any battle experience.

“Dini worry lassie, we will be okay. Now let us go and bring some traditional Scottish fighting methods to these southern English pricks.” Douglas grinned and winked at Chloe.

“Thank you, Alpha’s, please be safe.” Zander stated, then shook their hands.

“Watch over Hazel.” Douglas shouted again as Chloe wiped a tear from her eye and nodded.

“I promise we will. But you are both coming back to watch over her yourselves.” Chloe shouted back.

Liane appeared, and Zander smiled warmly at her, he was more than grateful for her help, she had made their lives so much easier, and there was no doubt she had given them the upper hand.

“These warriors and Alpha’s Hamish and Douglas to Silvermoon.” He stated and they all disappeared into thin air as Chloe let out a little sob.

Lacey swung herself around, her foot connecting with the chest of the rogue wolf she was fighting. He catapulted across the battlefield landing on all fours. The rogue shook his head, then lunged forward, saliva dripping from his snarling mouth as he bared his yellow plaque-stained teeth at her. Lacey jumped into the air, shifting as she did, then landed on the disgusting beasts back easily snapping his neck with her powerful jaws.

A loud war cry rang out from the far side of the battlefield, and suddenly the rogues seemed to halt, confused.

Lacey resisted the urge to look over to what had the rogues distracted. Instead she took advantage and pounced on a confused rogue, brining him to the ground as he attempted to twist his body to snap at her. Her claws gouched at his eyes as he let out a howl of pain, before she gave him the killing blow.

Hamish and Douglas arrived on the battlefield, then holding hands they smiled at each other. Mustering their highland warrior spirit they ran towards the rogues, lifting up their kits, revealing that a true Scotsman never wears anything under them. The action stunned the rogues momentarily, not quite believing what they were seeing, a pair of Alpha werewolves flashing their man parts whilst roaring a battle cry at them.

Robin like his mate took advantage of the scene playing out in front of him, killing three more rogues.

Josh and his team of warriors fresh from their own battle, jumped into the affray. Soon the rogues were overcome, and they began to retreat from the battle ground.

Hamish and Douglas let out a mighty roar of laughter.

“Aye, the old ways are still the best.” They chuckled.

Suddenly Hamish was lifted off his feet, pain radiated through him as a pair of canines latched on to his side, piercing his skin.

Douglas let out a mighty howl of pain as he watched helplessly as Hamish was mauled by the rogue before his eyes. He ran towards his mate, but another rogue grabbed his leg, biting it clean off, and he slumped to the ground. He turned to look into Hamish’s eyes as they both laid on the ground.

“I love you.” Douglas whispered, as Hamish gave a small nod, before his eyes glazed over, as death found him.

Douglas screamed out in pain from the severing of the mate bond, when the rogue who had bit off his leg ended the agony with one last bite.

Josh looked over at the fallen Alpha’s and let out a loud cry.

“NOOOOO”

He ran forwards, and without mercy slayed the rouges who had killed Hamish and Douglas.
