Me: Where did you go, anyway?

Scott: To see my boss, Deaton, he had a problem with a patient.

I nod. We talk until I fall asleep and he goes to bed.

A week later

I’ve been living in Beaconhills for over a week now, and a lot has happened: I’ve become much closer to Stiles, Alison, Lydia and Kira. By the way, Scott and Kira got together in the meantime, and they’re just too sweet! For example, there was a murder of an entire family two days ago and Scott seems really worried but is hiding it. Every time I try to talk to him about it, he clams up. Anyway, I get to the front of the house after a jog and hear strange noises coming from behind the door.

-Let’s get him!

-I’ve got him!

-I’ve got him!

-Damn, he kicked me!

The door opens and a boy of barely 15 runs out without looking back. I enter the house to find my brother and Stiles fighting or… It’s weird what they’re actually doing.

Me: Guys, what are you doing?

They stop bickering and look up at me.

Scott: Where did he go?!!?

I point to the door. He turns to Stiles.

Scott: Your plan sucked just as much as mine did!

Stiles: This never would have happened if you hadn’t kidnapped him, tied him up and put him in your tub! Why the bathtub anyway?

Scott: I panicked, I told you!

I’m going up the stairs.

Stiles: Hey! Where are you going?

Me: To my room before your madness becomes contagious!

I’m going upstairs to take a shower and then straight to bed.

The next day

I get off Scott’s bike and give him my helmet.

Me: I much prefer Stiles’ Jeep, by the way!

He laughs.

Scott: Maybe, but my bike’s a sure bet! No risk of the engine flying off if the tape breaks!

I laugh back, and we join Stiles. After a few minutes, the same teenager as yesterday arrives at the school and rushes off when he sees us. The boys were about to take off after him, but I held them back.

Me: Well, I acted like nothing happened last night, but now you’ve clearly got a problem with him. So, what’s the deal?

Scott and Stiles: Uh…

They give each other the same look they do every time something strange happens. I huff, exasperated, and go home to get my books.

After class

I walk out of my classroom and see the new kid, I think his name is Liam or something. I was going to talk to him but he ran into Kira who had fallen down the stairs. Kira raises her head and smiles flirtatiously at him.

Kira: Do you want to come to a party at Lydia’s tonight?

She’d said that, but in a much higher-pitched voice. What’s wrong with her? Isn’t she going out with Scott? Something strange is going on.
