Scene 36

The day after

I open my eyes. Strangely enough, I don’t remember how the evening with Stiles ended, and even stranger still, I’m in my room… I get out of bed and go into the kitchen and Scott, Lydia, Liam and Stiles are there.

Stiles: Hannah!

He hugs me and pulls me close. He’s weird.

Me: Is everything okay?

Pack: What?!

Stiles takes off and I look at him.

Me: What?

Scott: Don’t you remember yesterday?!

Me: Yeah, I went to Stiles for our date, we watched a movie and he ordered food but then…

I’m not saying anything. I’ve got such a blank space in my head…

Stiles: You don’t remember, do you?

I nod

Me: What happened?

Lydia: Allison was in danger and you went to help her… She was hurt and you sent her to Scott and all we know is that Stiles found you in the Beaconhills tunnels and that…

Me: That what?

Scott: You lost your powers…

I laugh. Like Allison was in danger and I lost my powers.

Liam: You don’t believe us?

I nod, still laughing. They really have a great imagination, these people!

Lydia: Okay! Teleport yourself to get some lunch!

I’m trying, but it’s not working.

Me: I’m just not awake!

Liam: Okay, you’ll believe us if I do this!

He takes a knife and cuts my hand. I try to throw him against the wall but that doesn’t work either. I stop when I see the b***d running down my arm.

Stiles: What are you doing Liam! Are you crazy?!

I freeze on my hand and Scott hands me a cloth to stop the b***d flowing and I take it. I’ve lost my powers… How is that possible? I look at my brother and he hugs me. How am I going to protect my friends… Oh my god! Allison! I pull away from my brother

Me: How’s Allison?!!?

Scott: She’s recovering… She lost a lot of b***d, so the doctors put her in an artificial coma until she recovers.

I have tears in my eyes. Allison… I couldn’t heal her… Scott takes me in his arms but I don’t move… I don’t think about my best friend. I take off slowly and try to teleport but I remember that I can’t anymore. I gasp

Me: Can someone take me to the hospital? I want to see her…

Stiles: I’ll take you, after we treat your hand.

I blow and we go into the bathroom to get a bandage. I just hope I haven’t lost it forever…

At the hospital

I sit down next to her and take her hand. She’s so pale. I close my eyes. I wish I had a vision of what happened but nothing happens. I breathe and open my eyes again.

Me: I wish you could wake up… And that you could tell me what happened…

I could try something

I turn around. It’s Scott.

Me: What?

Scott: Do you mind if I look at you?

Me: You already are.

He laughs and makes his eyes shine.

Scott: That’s what I thought.

His eyes go back to normal.

Me: What are you talking about?

Scott: One time when we were fighting I looked at you and you had a kind of golden aura, the same colour as your eyes. You still have that aura, Hannah.

Me: I’ve still got my powers then?

He nods and smiles. I jump into his arms laughing

Me: Thank you Scott! I’d given up so much hope!

Scott: You’re welcome, sis!

He puts me down and I go back to Allison. I stay at her bedside for several hours talking to her and then leave when Lydia arrives and takes over.

[Stiles: I’m in the car park, I’m coming to get you.]

I smile.

[Me: Coming!]

I go into the car park and quickly find the sky blue Jeep. I sit down next to him and give him a k**s on the cheek.

Me: Thanks for picking me up

Stiles: No problem!

It starts up and drives off, but strangely enough, it doesn’t take me or him home.

Me: Stiles, I think you took a wrong turn here!

Stiles: Not at all, I’m kidnapping you!

I laugh

Me: That’s twice in two days!

He laughs back

Stiles: I know, you can rest if you want, it’s going to be a long ride.

I nod and take his hand before settling back into my seat. I text my mum that I’m not coming home tonight and close my eyes, smiling.

Me: You know you’re the perfect boyfriend?

Stiles: I have to be, I have the perfect girlfriend.

I smile and open my eyes again to give him a soft k**s on the cheek. I rest back in my seat, ready to fall asleep.

Me: I love you Stiles

Stiles: I love you too Hannah

And I finally fall asleep on that sweet July night
