Sky’s Rejection Chapter 54

(Sky’s POV)

The whippings stopped and as soon as I started to regain consciousness, I felt Rain and Angel back with me.

‘I have missed you two so much.’ I wailed in my head, hoping I don’t over whelm them with my emotions.

‘I am here now Sky. Calm down and breath. I will take some of the pain from you as I heal us.’ Angel coos calmly to me. Her lulling voice slowly making my panic go to a slow, steady pace.

‘Do you feel that? Diane is panicking, something is wrong. Time to show these assholes how powerful we really are.’ Rain hisses in anger as I feel our energy and power rising.

I raise my head up, looking over to see King Alaric striding towards Diane. She seems to be shivering in fear as I watch her teeth chatter and the color drain from her face. She closes her eyes, as if accepting the fate he is about to bestow on her. I won’t allow that to happen.

I extend my body as I feel the chains break away from me. Alaric’s attention snaps back towards me, as I smirk at him, enjoying the shock plastered all over him. The tables have turned and he is about to learn that first hand.

“How did you…” Was all Alaric got out before his mouth dropped in horror. Maybe he finally realizes who he has been messing with. I felt my body start to float as I tapped into my full abilities. A bright transparent and violet glow started to diffuse rapidly around me. I raised my hands as I focused solely on the so called King in front of me. It is time that he pays and I return to my Kingdom and mate.

“I WILL NOT TOLARATE THE INCOMPITANCE OF KINGDOMS. YOU WILL RESPECT OTHER KINGDOMS OR BE DETHRONED,” My voice echoed as Rain, Angel and I spoke in unison. The power behind my words brought all the vampires to their knees within seconds. I heard hissing from some of his subjects, trying to protest against the hold I have over them. One glare from me made them whimper in fear.

“What are you? How can you make my subjects bow to you. I AM THEIR KING.” Alaric exclaimed in frustration as I watched him struggle against the silent command behind my words. He, himself, was having a hard time resisting my hold on them.

Diane snapped out of her traumatized state as she crawled backwards, taking cover. She obviously sensed where this was headed and I am happy she found protection for herself before I handled this situation.

“I HEREBY DENOUNCE YOU AS THE VAMPIRE KING. For the kidnapping charges, illegal beating, illegal slavery of a witch and leading your kingdom into ruins. I announce your punishment as death.” I exclaimed, with the echo of my witch and wolf. None of the vampires protested as the words left my mouth.

We sat in stunned silence as I waited to see if any vampires had high enough loyalty to their King to risk their own lives.

Alaric bolted up from his crouched position, in anger, his face a beet red as his eyes held a hint of crazy. “You can’t do this to me. You don’t have a say. This is my Kingdom.”

He decided his best plan of action was to charge at me. Before he got within ten feet of me, I slowly out stretched my arm.Smirking in satisfaction as a red glowing light engulfed Alaric, causing him to float at my level. I stared him dead in the eyes, glaring until he realized he wouldn’t be getting out the situation he is in. As soon as he gulped in nervousness I knew it was time. I swirled my hand around as I watched the glowing light slowly shrink. Every ounce of air leaving his vicinity as I watched Alaric suffocate. The feeling of knowing I am taking the life of the person who took me from my mate, the person who whipped me until I either submitted to him or died from the b***d loss, the person who blocked Angel and Rain from me. As soon as I knew he was dead. I removed his head from his body with the flick of my wrist.

‘He got off to easy, we should have made him suffer the way he made you suffer.’ Rain hissed as her b***d thirst raised, wanting justice her way.

‘All that matters is he is dead and now we can get back to our mate.’ Angel said with a tinge of desperation. I could feel how the separation from Demon was affecting her and I hated knowing she was suffering right now. There are a few things we need to deal with first, then we will go to our mate I thought back, trying to calm Angel down and reassure her that we would be back with them in no time.

“Does anyone stand with their old King and his choices?” I questioned. I looked around at every vampire, detecting if they were hiding or honestly glad their King was dead. I do not need an uproar occurring anytime soon.

After five full minutes of silence I took that as my answer and turned towards Diane. I mind linked her, trying to keep all the prying ears out of our conversation. ‘Are you alright?’

Diane looked at me , first in stunned silence, making me think she was in shock from what had happened. Before I could get another word out, her expression slowly changing to relief. ‘I am okay, Queen Sky.’ Diane linked back with a slight smile. I could feel the tension slowly leaving her body.

‘She was scared of the King.’ Angel said softly trying to get a sense of her feelings.

‘We should have never allowed him to get as close as he did to her.’ Rain commented, sternly. I know that you two, but we didn’t have much of a choice until she released the hold on us we weren’t able to help the way we just did, I thought back to them.

‘Try to make her feel welcomed and safe.’ Angel says slowly.

‘No need to call me by my title. We will be the best of friends in no time. Would you mind finding a suitable replacement King for the vampires?’ I asked kindly through the mind link. Showing her that no matter what I had her back and I honestly hoped she would have mine as well. I wanted her to know I trusted her opinion and accepted her as my beta female. This was the best way I could express it.

‘Of course, Que.. I mean Sky.’ Diane mind linked to me right before taking off to find the right vampire for the job. The perfect beta material. I slowly floated myself back down to the ground. Before I could register everything going on around me, I felt warm arms engulf me from behind. My body tensed up, fearing the worse. My back throbbed from the unhealed whippings but the warm tingles made me sigh in content after hissing slightly in pain. Dimitri. I leaned into him, anchoring onto my mate like he was my life line.

“Mate.” I heard the growl, making me realize Demon was in control. I shimmied myself around so I was facing my mate. I slowly placed my hand on his warm, stubble cheek as I stared at my mate lovingly. I never thought I would see him again. Angel purred in content as Rain hummed in happiness. No matter how strong we are, Di will always be our rock. The thing is though, I knew I would have rather died than be mated to anyone other than Dimitri. I placed my lips on his cheek, letting it linger a little longer than I normally do, causing a satisfying rumble to vibrate through his chest. Successfully calming Demon down. I watched as Dimitri returned back to the front of his mind as his arms tightened around me. I laid my face against his chest, taking in the calm in the middle of all this chaos. I loved the sound of his heartbeat, always soothing any wound I could ever receive.

“Where is the bastard? Did he touch you? Are you hurt? Of course you are hurt, all I smell is your b***d.” Dimitri rants in a whisper as he peppers k****s along my neck, occasionally licking me. I know he is marking me with his scent, trying to ignore the b***d and sent of that vile vampire, though I didn’t mind.

‘Mate, mate, mate. He found us. Let him take us home. We need him to heal.’ Angel chanted over and over again as I could feel her excitement rising by the second.

‘Answer mate. Make him not worry anymore.’ Rain said in concern. I knew they were happy to be back with mate especially after that crazy vampire thinking he could force us to be his mate. I couldn’t blame them. I needed Dimitri as much as they did, no matter how much I was hurt.

“Di, calm down.” I told him slowly as I placed his head in between my hands. “The vampire is dead, I just killed him. Diane helped me and was as much a prisoner as I was. She is currently looking for a new vampire King who will help this Kingdom grow and not drag them down. He didn’t touch me, I would rather die than ever be mated to anyone other than you. I am hurt, but only slightly, do not panic. Angel and Rain are healing me. All we need right now is you. I just need my mate.”

I watched as Dimitri visibly relaxed. He scooped me into my arms, causing a wave of nausea to develop. I sucked it back down as I tried to breath through it. I am sure its from all the power I had to use and being whipped continuously. He starts to shout out orders, “Dean, help Diane find the right fit as the new king and inform the council what has happened here. They need to know about the change in power as well. I will leave all but ten warriors with you. Have them swipe over the whole Kingdom and make sure no one who is loyal to that a*s-hat is still alive. Come home when everything is settled. I am going to take Our Luna Queen home.”

“Yes Alpha,” Dean chanted with a smile on his face. “Bravo team, escort our Alpha and Luna home. The rest of you scope out the land and make sure nothing else is going on here. I want full reports within the hour.”

The warmth of Di’s body and the tingles from his hands touching my skin starts to make my eyes feel heavy as the nausea begins to fade away. The swaying from him walking with me makes me drift off to sleep as I realize how happy and content I am to be back in my mates arms.

‘This is where we belong.’ Rain hummed in content as I felt her start to doze off as well.

‘I don’t think either of us will disagree with you there.’ Angel purrs as I feel her snuggle into a ball in my mind. We feel safe with our mate, allowing us to put our guard down while he holds us close to him.

“I have you. Sleep, Mon amour.” Dimitri whispers in my ear with his husky voice that I love so much. He doesn’t have to tell me twice. I slowly drift off, as my body calms and darkness takes over. I feel at ease and that is all that matters.

I am safe and back with my mate, where we belong.
