Book 2- Chapter 20

I received Ethan and Mia's wedding invitation. The wedding was set for ten days later.

Very good, quite swift.

I smiled with satisfaction.

Finally, after they got married, I could put my plan into action.

First, Mia discovered the health check report and made a scene in front of Ethan's parents.

It was only then that Ethan's parents learned that Mia wasn't pregnant, it was just Ethan's lie to make them sell the house. Ethan's mother cried her heart out and fell ill in bed.

Ethan's father chain-smoked cigarettes, cursing Ethan as worse than a beast, his hair turning white overnight.

Mia ran to her friend to complain, got dead drunk, hating herself for trusting the wrong person.

I took the opportunity to confirm that it was the same friend who had taken her to that wild party in my previous life.

I made the final arrangements, accelerating their previous life's ending. I didn't want to wait a moment longer.

I arranged a big job for Ethan, vehicle maintenance for a group from the neighboring city, with a deposit of $100,000.

Ethan naturally rushed off on the business trip, after all, all the money had been taken by Mia's parents, and they were now very poor.

Mia wanted that deposit, and Ethan, feeling guilty about the health check report, had no choice but to give her the money.

As I had predicted, as soon as Ethan left, Mia and her friends took the money to seek fun with a group of man.

Some people are rotten to the core.

They have their own karma, and I have my own life.

Love or hate.

Letting it go now is the best redemption I can give myself.
