Chapter 691 Chandler Arrives

The gunshot rang out.

Daniel hadn't expected to miss.

Andy rolled to the side, his body hitting the ground hard as he narrowly dodged the bullet.

Years of living on the edge had honed his reflexes, making him exceptionally agile.

Daniel cursed, slamming another round into the chamber.

He aimed to fire again, but just as his finger tightened on the trigger, Andy's reinforcements burst through the factory doors.

Chaos erupted in an instant. The abandoned factory turned into a battleground, the air thick with the sounds of punches, gunfire, and the clash of metal.

Blood splattered across the concrete floor as both sides fought viciously, but no one backed down.

Andy used the mayhem to his advantage. He sprinted toward Rachel, dropping to his knees as he cradled her limp body.

"Rachel! Wake up! Rachel!" His voice trembled with urgency.

Perhaps it was the agony from her wounds, or perhaps it was the

blood loss, but Rachel's face was ghostly pale as she lay motionless on the floor.

"Rachel, open your eyes! It's me, Andy!" he shouted.

Her skin was ice-cold. The moment Andy made contact with her, his heart sank.

She was extremely weak.

"You're going to be fine. I'll get you out of here. I'll get you to a doctor!" Andy's voice cracked as panic overtook him.

His brows furrowed deeply, his entire demeanor filled with panic.

For the first time in years, his composure shattered.

He hadn't seen Rachel in so long. He'd tried to stay away to protect her, but now she was like this, and it was all his fault.

Suddenly, Daniel came out of nowhere, wielding a steel pipe. He swung it with all his strength, smashing it into the back of Andy's head. The blow was brutal. Andy collapsed, his mind reeling from the blinding pain.

He hit the ground on his knees, the world spinning around him. *, His arms slackened, and Rachel slipped from his grasp, falling back onto the cold floor.

Daniel sneered, "You think you can take her away? Do you think I'm some kind of pushover?"

He grinned wickedly. "I told you, Andy. Today is your last day. You and your sister are going to die here."

Daniel raised his gun again, this time aiming it directly at the back of Andy's head.

Suddenly, the guard dogs outside began barking furiously.

A man burst into the room, yelling, "Police! They've surrounded us! We need to get out of here now!"

At the shout, the two fighting groups immediately froze, halting their combat.

Daniel's men and Andy's reinforcements were all outlaws, living lives filled with illegal dealings.

They were well aware of what would happen if they were caught. Even if they survived, their future would surely be spent in prison. Panic spread like wildfire.

"Daniel!" Eric rushed over, his face pale. "The police have sealed off the area! What do we do?"

*, Daniel clenched his jaw. "What else? Take the back exit!"

The factory had been chosen for its labyrinthine layout.

It had multiple escape routes for precisely this kind of situation.

But Daniel wasn't about to let Andy walk away. Before leaving, he smirked and fired one last shot.

At that moment, Andy had already recovered from the searing pain caused by the blow.

He, too, heard the police approaching.

He knew he had to leave immediately.

Andy cast a heavy glance at Rachel, who was still lying on the ground.

The police were targeting people from the underworld like him. Even if he left Rachel here, she would be rescued.

Taking her with him would only make things messier.

"Rachel, I have to go now. I'll figure out a way to check on you later," he said.

Rachel didn't respond. Two silent tears slid from the corners of

her eyes.

As Andy stood up, Daniel fired at him.

Andy's expression changed in an instant, and he quickly twisted his body to dodge the shot.

Though he moved quickly, the bullet still grazed his shoulder.

Blood began to seep from the wound.

Andy clutched the injury tightly, gritting his teeth. He knew this wasn't the time to settle scores with Daniel. Right now, escaping was the priority. The gunshot had given away their location.

Trained police officers charged into the factory, their boots pounding against the concrete floor.

Andy could hear the approaching footsteps.

His heart sank. Without hesitation, he bolted toward a nearby

window.

Grabbing the ledge, he propelled himself out and tumbled into a pile of hay outside.

Meanwhile, Chandler led a team of officers into the factory.

To prevent the criminals from escaping, he had already scouted the area beforehand and ordered the exits to be sealed off.

The thugs thought they might escape. But when they reached the back door, they would realize they were surrounded by police officers.

There was no way out.

A few minutes later, Alvin approached from the back.

"Chandler, you really know your stuff. Thanks to your planning, we have secured all the exits."

Chandler stood amidst the factory's desolate remnants, his brow furrowed.

Just as they entered, he spotted someone jumping out of a window.

The figure was a young man, agile and dressed in black tactical

gear.

Chandler's sharp eyes caught the detail of the man.

He could tell that the man had likely been shot.

Despite the injury, the man's movements were impressively nimble.

"Are we sure we've got everyone?" Chandler asked, scanning the faces of the captured gang members one by one.

Alvin hesitated. "It seems Daniel got away. That guy's slippery. When he saw his crew being taken down, he avoided the back door and went straight over the wall. He'd already prepped a motorcycle on the other side." By the time Alvin realized and tried to chase him, Daniel was long gone.

They hadn't anticipated the sheer number of thugs here. The

group was twice the size they had expected.

Their manpower had been stretched thin, which left gaps like the one Daniel exploited.

Chandler's gaze shifted toward the window. "Only one escaped?"

Alvin wasn't sure. "Maybe. But it could be two or three."

Chandler frowned. There was someone else.

The man who had jumped through the window as he arrived wasn't accounted for.

Chandler moved toward the window, his instincts pulling him

closer.

Outside, piles of dry hay, stacked 8 feet high, had been set ablaze.

A sudden gust of wind spread the fire quickly, thick smoke billowing into the sky.

It was winter, and the brittle hay caught fire easily. The flames were already spreading at an alarming pace.

Now, the priority wasn't pursuit. It was extinguishing the flames before they got out of control. Chandler's thoughts raced. "Whoever that was, they're smart. Setting the fire to buy time... Clever move."
