Chapter 204 Reaching A New Stage

Time seemed to slow down. Rocky was feeling kind of small and weak as the long period of time elapsed.

Not knowing how long it had been, Rocky could tell that his power had reached its limit and his body suffered the overwhelming pains. It felt as though he was feeling a myriad of earthquakes and landslides taking place in his system. Under the strong impact of his spiritual power, Rocky felt he was on the edge of a breakdown.

At this critical moment, if Rocky didn't try to be a strong-willed man, it would cost him his life. Even if he wanted to stop everything, it was too late! If he tried to separate himself from Uriah and stop the combination by force, he would get hurt. Even worse, it could endanger both of their lives! Rocky could do nothing but to persist through this terrible ordeal. Only his willpower would help him succeed, despite the fact that he wasn't aware of his body and his will was gradually being weakened. But he still firmly believed that he could do it. Otherwise...

Being an ordinary spirit manipulator, it was the first time Rocky tried to practice this secret without the help of Holy Dragon Bead. This was the hardest thing for an ordinary spirit manipulator to accomplish.

He had created great miracles one after another with the power of Holy Dragon Bead before. This time, he was determined to create another impossible miracle in another way.

But he didn't know whether he would succeed in acquiring the Spirit Possession or not.

The clock was ticking and the meter was running. In the middle of the Ghost Village, two shadows were radiating brilliantly and began to combine together, particle by particle. The intense spiritual power unceasing spread to the surrounding air. The Ghost Village was thrown into chaos.

A deafening scream suddenly pierced the air, echoing as it spread.

The man in the light was stretching out his arms and holding his head high. His face showed clearly that he was suffering a tormenting pain. It looked as if countless worms were wriggling and wrestling within him, as he spasmed continuously. His body looked like it was about to explode at any time. But his eyes were intent, his gestures expansive.

In an instant, the furious spiritual power was emitted out of control. The power surged, liked a tempestuous sea that sent forth its tides on the earth. The strong spiritual power razed the surroundings into ground.

"Spirit Possession!" Another yell echoed in the air. All of sudden, two glistening shadows rose from the ground and merged into one in the sky.

The whole Ghost Village was shaking up and down. A howl broke out high above it.

A moment later, the shadow disappeared and the chaos ceased completely. Covered with tiger stripes, a man was standing in the middle of the Ghost Village. His eyes were as ferocious as lion's and a tiny horn grew on his head. Two tails in flames were wagging at his back. His hands were burning, too. He looked very powerful and aggressive.

"Did I make it?" Since Rocky wasn't aware of what he looked like now, he was unsure if he was even alive to begin with. His hands were encompassed by fire, as if the fire was in his blood. Freakishly, the stripes intertwined with the skin on his arms. But Rocky had a clear feeling that Uriah was inside of his body and their power had combined together. The spiritual power in his body had reached at least the fourth grade of the Earthly Stage, two grades higher than before.

Rocky found that the spiritual flame inside his body had developed dramatically. Originally, the spiritual flame in his body had a small and cloudy red flame. Rocky was not sure if this was the dragon spiritual power of Fire nature, since the power of Holy Dragon Bead was sealed in his body. But now, the difference was drastic. After their spiritual powers combined, the red flame was separated from the spiritual flame. The small independent red flame circulated in his body along with his spiritual flame. These two powers kept pace with each other. That was why there were flames around his hands. Apparently, this red flame indicated the presence of the dragon spiritual power of Fire nature. Now, there were two different spiritual powers in his body. The first was ordinary spiritual power. The other, meanwhile, was dragon spiritual power of Fire.

However, the dragon spiritual power wasn't so strong now. Even if the power of Holy Dragon Bead was sealed, Rocky was still able to acquire an exceptionally unique dragon spiritual power. Though this power was not so strong, it was paramount for Rocky.

Every royal spirit manipulator was extremely powerful, because their spiritual power stemmed from the Dragon Spirit Bead. Rocky knew this fact very well. Made by Dragon Master Clan with a secret technology, the Dragon Spirit Bead contained enormous spiritual power. Feared and admired by all, it was called the dragon spiritual power. By inheriting the dragon spiritual power of the Dragon Spirit Bead, a royal spirit manipulator would become not only powerful than ordinary one, but would also have unlimited room for improvement. Dragon spiritual power had its own nature. Different natures resulted in different effects, which would drive the spiritual power into a more powerful state. For instance, the nature of Fire could enhance the power released and cause a devastating impact.

Compared with an ordinary spirit manipulator, it was easier for royal spirit manipulators who were already in possession of the dragon spiritual power to improve their strength. If ordinary spirit manipulators wanted to reach the Heavenly Stage, it would be vexingly difficult and take an excruciatingly long time. Royal spirit manipulators certainly enjoyed their privilege. If they pushed themselves to work hard and practice, they could easily reach the Heavenly Stage, because they had excellent talents and aptitude.

But the Dragon Spirit Bead was rare. Every year, only thirty Dragon Spirit Beads were provided to Holy Dragon Empire by Dragon Master Clan. Thirty beads, thirty manipulators a year. No wonder their numbers were so small! Thus, a royal spirit manipulator was an elite for Holy Dragon Empire. Among the four famous military groups in Holy Dragon Empire, each only had a hundred of royal spirit manipulators. The royal spirit manipulators with exceptionally high levels were typically situated in Palace City. In times of any great emergency in Holy Dragon Empire, these royal spirit manipulators would answer the call of duty. Otherwise, they only provided service for emperor and were under his command.

Compared with ordinary spirit manipulators, royal spirit manipulators in the four military groups were more powerful. Normally, they held important positions and are the best of the best. They would typically not be seen in action if there were no large-scale war. These elites would not be dispatched to execute petty operations.

The Crimson Dragon Group had an Elite Regiment consisting of royal spirit manipulators. They were considered the cream of the crop amongst their peers.
