Was she nothing to Anthony compared to Bianca?

The man that she loved was loving another woman. This was even more agonizing than sending her to jail.

When Anne was about to enter the car, someone called her.

She was stunned and turned around. She saw a car parked in the distance and saw a gentleman - looking man with glasses looking worried.

Apparently, Anne could not find any recollection of this man in her memory, and his expressions confused her.

Lucas came over but was stopped by the police.

"Anne, I will hire the best lawyer in Luton. Don't you worry!” Lucas was almost shouting, he was afraid that she could not hear him, or perhaps he was trying to give her confidence and console her. This was the first person that wanted to help her in the past few days of detention. She could not help but take a few more looks at this man.

She did not have much time to think about that either because the police officer next to her was urging her to get into the vehicle.

She took one last look at Lucas and entered the car.

On the way to the detention center, she did not react much, as though she had lost her senses. More accurately, she was dead inside.

She was given a single room in the detention center. In fact, the environment inside looked more like a little one- bedroom, one bathroom, and one living room suite. It even had a small fridge and a television. It was rather well -equipped.

It was Anne's first time seeing the detention center. She was escorted by the police all the way here and did not expect the detention center to be so humane.

There was a window. However, it was sealed tightly, leaving no chance for her to escape.

Anne suppressed the sour and bitter feeling in her, but her hopelessness and depression still crept in...

In the middle of the night, Bianca, who was asleep, felt that she heard the door being shut. She opened her eyes in confusion.

The lights in her room were not off. She turned and saw Lilian, who entered the room. She held her chest. “Are you trying to freak me out?”

Lilian found a chair and sat down as though she was in her own room.

However, she was skilled and had been able to make it into such a well-guarded mansion effortlessly.

Bianca knew what she was capable of, and when she realized that Lilian could enter her premises so quietly, she could not help but feel the chills down her spine.

"Anne was sent to the detention center and awaiting the death sentence. How do you feel?” Lilian asked.

"Of course, I am beyond delighted. I had waited my whole life for this moment for Anne to be dead. However, she had killed my mom. It is too easy for her with just a death sentence!” Bianca felt bad when she remembered her mother's tragic death.

Lilian was not capable of empathizing with her.

“Do you really think it was Anne? Do you really think she would be capable enough for that?” Lilian asked.

"...What do you mean?” Bianca was dumbfounded, then it dawned on her. “Was it... Was it you who killed her?”

Lilian was quiet, as though she had silently admitted it.

Bianca rolled off the bed in a fury, and she widened her eyes in disbelief. “What is wrong with you? Why did you kill my mother?”

“I am helping you to get rid of Anne. You should thank me for it,” Lilian said.

“Why did you have to kill my mother to get rid of Anne?” Bianca picked up the lamp from her nightstand and slammed it on Lilian.

Lilian did not stand up, and merely dodged it by moving her upper body. The lamp slammed into the wall behind her.

Lilian said to Bianca, who was infuriated, “If you are not happy with it, you could call 911 and turn me in now."

Her phone was on the nightstand, within her reach.

Bianca dashed to get her phone. “Do you think I will not do that?”

Lilian did not stop her, and she was waiting for her to call 911.

Bianca pressed the digits, but she did not bring herself to press the dial button.

If she had called the cops and said someone else killed her mother, would Anne be released immediately then?

Would it be worth it for her to do so?
