Chapter 1594 Left the Monastery

It had been almost ten years since she last saw Elijah.

The day prior, Gideon's mother had approached her. Simply put, she proposed to Sally a certain amount of money in exchange for leaving Gideon. She claimed she would never allow her son to be with a disreputable, illegitimate child in secrecy. She was entirely against this marriage.

She would choose to die before Gideon if he insisted on marrying her forcibly.

Sally wasn't someone with an excellent temper.

If Sally had learned to be submissive, she wouldn't have ended up being abandoned by her father, would she?

Sally had an intense argument with Gideon's mother.

As soon as Gideon walked in, his mother slumped onto the couch, whether genuinely unwell or not.

Regardless of who was at fault, Gideon's accusations were aimed at her. Heartbroken, she packed her things and left Mailand.

The next day, she reunited with Elijah on a cruise ship.

She was in a daze and accidentally collided with someone on the deck.

"Sally?" The person recognized her and was greatly surprised. Then, he turned and shouted, "Uncle Elijah, come here quickly!" Sally was feeling very confused at that particular moment.

To be honest, she had succeeded in offending even Byron. Sally had a pretty good idea of how many people she had offended.

She thought she had encountered yet another victim of her past persecution.

She immediately wanted to run. "I'm not Sally. You've got the wrong person!"

Unbeknownst to her, the opposing party's defensive abilities proved remarkable as she attempted to make a quick escape. He grabbed her arm and said, "It's you! It's you! I would still recognize you even if you were reduced to ashes. Uncle Elijah! Elijah Patterson! Come quick!!"

Sally's heart sank at that moment. She thought she ran into an enemy just after a breakup. She was the unluckiest person.

A tall and attractive person suddenly emerged as she was overwhelmed with sadness.

Sally looked at him blankly.

He appeared to be highly familiar, almost like she knew him.

But she couldn't remember at all where she had seen him.

"Bob." Elijah's voice carried an air of authority. His tone was neutral yet commanded attention.

The man grabbed Sally but quickly let go and pointed at her. "Sally..."

Elijah turned his gaze to Sally. His beautiful eyes were as tranquil as a calm lake. "Ms. Campbell, it's been years. I hope you've been well!"

"Bob?" Sally looked at the person next to her. He was dressed in vintage clothing and had a vintage hairstyle. The gates of her memory opened. "Are you Bob? The one we nearly got engaged?" "You've finally remembered me. It's truly my honor!" Bob muttered with a strange tone.

"No, it's not that. I truly didn't want to get engaged at the time. Marriage is something both parties agree on. You wouldn't make a fuss about this in public, would you?" Sally whispered.

"Don't talk nonsense! I was the one who proposed the idea of getting engaged, but my family eventually convinced my uncle, Uncle Elijah, to marry you," Bob quickly explained.

"Elijah? Isn't he a monk?" While speaking, a sudden realization hit Sally like a lightning bolt, causing her to pause mid-sentence. An image of a face full of divine flashed through her mind. Then she gazed up a Elijah with a look of horror.

Gradually, the man with an indifferent expression in front of her merged with her memory of a divine look.

"Oh, my God!" Sally covered her mouth.

Her eyes were filled with shock and disbelief.

"Have you left the monastery?" Sally finally managed to ask after a moment.

"Yes." Elijah nodded.
