My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1579
Chapter 1579 Very Insecure
Athena rubbed her cheek. "After that, you woke up and turned your grief and anger into strength, quickly achieving success and growth. And then we met again. My grandma was seriously ill at that time, and my family owed a lot of money. I was still studying and couldn't afford my grandmother's medical treatment."
Upon recalling that hellish time, Athena still couldn't hold back her tears, her eyes teary.
Byron frowned tightly, and his face was full of distress.
"Later, when you met me, just because I looked similar to that bad woman, you spent money to clear my family's debt, found a good doctor for me, and helped my grandmother receive treatment, giving her a few more years of life."
Byron frowned. "Did I vent all my resentment towards her on you?"
Athena nodded. "Of course, you were fierce!"
"I'm sorry..." Byron said in a deep voice.
"I've heard you apologized many times," Athena patted his hand. "Why did we go so off-topic? Do you know who else you've known by meddling in their affairs?"
"Who?" Byron became nervous subconsciously.
He was afraid there might be other random women too.
"It's your daughter," Athena chuckled and recounted the stories she had heard from Alice. Back then, Mia had playfully thrown a small ball at Byron. She also had accidentally entered the wrong private room that night and confidently sat on Byron's lap, demanding to be served food and drink.
"In just one year, Mia has grown from a baby to a child," Athena sighed with emotion. "When she first returned, she couldn't even speak well, couldn't write letters, and spoke softly. But now, look at her. She's like a whirlwind little tyrant!"
"I've missed a lot of time with you," Byron subconsciously held Athena's hand.
After seeing Adolf's attitude towards Amanda today, he couldn't help but feel irritated and annoyed.
He must have done something outrageously wrong in the past to drive Athena away from him.
"Honey, the years to come will be more leisurely and longer," Athena gently squeezed his hand. "Gideon will come to see you tomorrow. There are some things I find awkward to say about the past. If you want to know, just ask him. He witnessed all of our five years together."
Byron subconsciously held Athena's hand even tighter.
"Maybe those things are hard to accept for you now, but you have to promise me that you'll see a psychiatrist from now on."
Byron was too bright.
Athena had thought of many ways of making him see a psychiatrist.
PTSD was a reason, but he would become wary once it involved emotional counseling.
She thought about it twice.
His physical recovery had been relatively rapid recently.
Instead of worrying about someone insensitively bringing up the past in front of him suddenly, she might as well let him know everything directly.
Then, she would take him directly to a psychiatrist to let him start receiving psychotherapy.
"Okay," Byron nodded without hesitation. "I will do whatever you ask me to do!"
Athena touched his cheek.
She had known Byron for a long time and had seen almost all his good and bad sides. However, it was her first time seeing him feel so insecure now.
When he had no amnesia, he felt insecure after she left and returned to his side.
However, it was utterly different if compared to now.
Before amnesia, no matter how insecure Byron felt, he still could control the overall situation forcibly.
