Chapter 1573 Divorce Agreement

Byron couldn't help but feel amused and distressed.

He heard Athena asking on the other side with the microphone turned off. "What happened to the little one today? Was she bullied at school?"

Byron was amazed at Athena's perception of Mia's emotions.

In his perception, just now, Mia was merely acting spoiled.

"I'll tell you in detail when I reach home," Byron said softly.

Athena responded, "I'm at the garage. See you at home later."

"Okay."

Athena hung up the phone.

"Did Mia get bullied at school?" Scarlett asked when she saw Athena hang up the phone, her face filled with concern.

Athena thought for a while and then shook her head. "It shouldn't be a big deal. Otherwise, Byron wouldn't be so calm about it. Don't worry."

"That's good," Scarlett breathed a sigh of relief.

"Think carefully about what I told you. Although Chelsea Investment Company is not large in scale now, it is still quite famous in the industry. If you take on the role of being in charge there, you'll have a much better future than being my assistant," Athena said seriously before getting into the car.

Scarlett pursed her lips. "I'll give it careful consideration."

She was not short of money. She just enjoyed working with Athena.

Athena patted her on the shoulder and got into the car straight away.

Byron was accompanied by the little one and might reach home earlier.

However, he was trying to estimate when Athena would return, so he didn't rush to enter the house. The three of them waited outside the garage while talking.

After waiting for a while, Athena's car drove in.

Mia hopped and skipped towards the car, waving her hands high.

When the car came to a halt, Athena exited the car.

Mia couldn't wait any longer to throw herself into her arms.

Athena lifted her with some effort, and Mia wrapped her arms around Athena's neck, rubbing her cheek.

She also kept saying things like missing her so much.

After cuddling for a while, she realized that her weight was no longer that of a child Athena could easily carry. She landed with a grunt, holding Athena's hand as they walked towards the elevator. Athena looked back at Byron and Aiden.

With a helpless expression, she blew a kiss to each of them.

Byron and Aiden immediately laughed upon seeing this.

After dinner, Mia went to do her homework.

Only then did Byron have time to tell Athena about what had happened during the day.

Athena was removing her makeup.

She took off her pearl earrings and dropped them onto the table.

"They are truly an extraordinary couple!" Athena paused momentarily, then looked at Byron and asked, "Did you send her to the mental hospital?"

Byron got up and brought over the document signed by Adolf.

"Why is this admission notice so thick?" Athena took it and weighed it in her hands.

"The admission notice isn't this thick. There is also a divorce agreement enclosed in it," Byron's tone was calm. "Originally, I didn't want to get involved, but... Mia is really concerned about her classmate. On the way back just now, she kept worrying about her."

Athena didn't speak.

She knew Mia well.

When she saw adults suffer, she didn't feel anything.

However, she couldn't stand to see children suffer.

She remained silent as she flipped through the parts related to the divorce agreement.

It was not that much.

It stated that the debts in their marriage belonged to the husband, and the house bought by the wife belonged to the child they raised together.

"Having a house with a high market value on hand does provide a certain security for the child." Athena pursed her lips and looked at Byron. "But from what you've told me about the child's mother, I think she may not be the most rational person. Even if the husband signs the agreement, it won't be effective if she doesn't sign it."
