Chapter 1554 Falls in Love Too Young

"Goodnight," Aiden said politely, about to head upstairs.

However, he stopped, seeming to recall something.

He added, "Better not bring up the topic of a little boy again. If one of you accidentally let it slip to Sir Timberlake next time, he might be devastated."

He was Aron's father, Brandon.

Brandon had started showing signs of anxiety lately, and with that, Aron firmly chose not to find out the gender of the baby.

He wanted the child he and Evie were expecting to be born in an atmosphere of immense hope and well-wishing.

Should the baby be a boy, many might feel disheartened.

But Aron didn't see it that way.

Whether a daughter or a son, both were equally cherished, born of Evie's ten months of sacrifice and care.

Aron did not favor one gender over another.

"Oh, you're right!" Evie immediately agreed, nodding. "Thanks for the heads-up, Aiden!"

"No problem!" After saying that, Aiden left the room full of adults and headed for a shower.

He noticed that since Mia started school, she seemed to change a little bit daily.

Before, whenever she made a new friend or even discovered a new flower or small creature, she'd rush back to share it with Aiden.

But now... Mia had so many little secrets that Aiden didn't understand.

She even shared some with Byron.

And now, this new secret about her wanted to meddle in his love life, possibly even arranging his marriage.

Mia spent some time chatting with the baby inside Evie's abdomen. As drowsiness set in, Alice then urged her to take a bath, and she headed upstairs. Evie was in a pretty good mood that day.

She chatted with Athena for quite some time before Aron took her aside to relax.

Once everyone had left, Athena relaxed and slumped onto the sofa. Glancing at Byron, she hooked her arm around his waist, drawing him closer.

"Ever since Evie got back, you've seemed a bit off. You were all quiet and moody just now. What's wrong? Jealous of Evie again?" Athena then traced Byron's nose bridge softly with her finger. Byron cherished every touch from Athena.

Even such a gentle gesture made him feel as if every part of him was awakened.

"Again?" Byron asked curiously, latching onto her words.

"You were quite the jealous one over her before as well. Memories might be gone, but instincts linger, don't they, Mr. Crawford?" Athena remarked with a hint of jest.

Pulling Athena close, Byron nestled his forehead against her collarbone.

"Is this how she usually talks with Aiden and Mia?" Byron questioned.

"Yes." Athena nodded. "Even with the age difference, the three interact... more like friends?"

"But Aiden and Mia are just kids. She should've thought twice before saying anything around them. For instance, can she not talk about kissing until the lips bleed or say adults bite each other when affectionate to Mia?" Byron was still shocked as he repeated the words.

Athena paused for a moment, then burst into laughter. "So, my daughter knows that her dad bit her mom's lip until it bled?"

The tips of Byron's ears flushed red instantly.

He tightened his hold on Athena and said, "Honey, no laughing. I'm being serious... Evie shouldn't be teaching Mia such things. What if she becomes too curious and falls in love too young?" "As long as she doesn't cross any boundaries, why not?" She remarked.

"It's not okay!" Byron quickly released Athena and sat up, saying, "She should wait... until 25 at least! Honey, there are only a few good men out there! We should allow her to mature mentally before letting her date. That way, she can spot the bad ones and avoids getting hurt."

"Okay, okay." Athena comforted, gently stroking his face. "Calm down. I'll talk to Evie tomorrow. What on earth is she teaching our girl!"

In reality, Athena had also spoken with Mia about topics like boyfriends.

It seemed that such matters were best kept from their overprotective father.
