My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1551
Chapter 1551 You Will Get It
From the subtle hints, it was clear that the youths at the pier no longer held Rose in reverence.
After hearing this, Lucia remained silent momentarily before saying, "Whatever decision you make, I hope you prioritize yourself first. Please don't do it for my sake. If things get too tough later, just hand me over to them. Kunce, we were once the best of friends and confidants. I also want to be your most cherished lover. I don't want to hold you back."
Kunce couldn't bear to hear such words.
He was instantly overwhelmed with emotion, tears welled in his eyes, and he became even more resolved to break ties with Stella Group for Lucia's sake.
After ending the call, Athena sent a message to Rose: [I just got off the phone with Kunce. I didn't hold back and gave him an earful. I bet he's going make a move soon.]
Almost immediately, Rose replied: [Got it.]
Rose didn't say much more about it.
In situations like this, Athena would likely not probe further if Rose chose not to discuss, especially when it concerned territory conflicts that would often lead to bloodshed. She then put her phone away and headed back.
This time, she found a perfect angle, capturing a father, son, and daughter in one frame.
Just after she took the shot, Byron looked up.
Seeing it was Athena, his face instantly lit up with a smile.
"How did it turn into both of you teaching? Isn't Daddy pretty smart?" Athena commented as she came closer.
Mia sighed and hung her head low. "There are some words even I don't recognize. I'm only in the first grade, after all."
Athena chuckled, "I'm sorry, sweetheart. I forgot about that."
As she spoke, she rechecked the time. "Isn't it time for you both to take a bath?"
"Yes," Aiden replied, glancing at the clock himself. "Dad, let Mommy take over from here."
Aiden turned to Athena, saying, "Mommy, Alice made us a smoothie. It was a bit sour, but Jaxson mentioned it's refreshing and nutritious. Don't forget to drink it." "Smoothie?" Athena questioned, clearly puzzled.
On the other hand, Byron averted his eyes, the corners of his mouth twitching as he fought back a smile.
"Your lips are chapped, Mommy. Is that a sign of not being healthy?" Concern was evident in Aiden's innocent eyes.
Athena was momentarily stunned, then managed a nod. "My boy is so thoughtful. I got so busy that I forgot. Don't worry. I'll drink it once I get home!"
"Okay!" Aiden murmured, slowly nodded, then turned his gaze to Mia.
Mia looked at Aiden with an indescribable expression.
She remembered the dean once commented how gifted and good-looking Aiden was and wondered which of his blessings were taken away to balance out the good. Now, it seemed, Mia had her answer.
"What's wrong?" Aiden asked, slightly bewildered.
Mia shook her head, then said earnestly, "Aiden, no matter what blessings you might lack, you'll always be my favorite!"
Mia then formed a heart with her hands.
Aiden was left baffled after hearing her, immediately speechless.
"Let's go! Bath time," Mia exclaimed, dragging Aiden upstairs.
"Mia, slow down! Don't trip Aiden over," Byron advised.
"I got it!" Mia replied. Then, giving Byron a look that was both secretive and full of warning, she said, "Being unhealthy for too long isn't good. You get that, right, Dad?" With a mixture of amusement and resignation, Byron nodded. "Yes, I know!"
"Alright then!" She said as if they'd reached an unspoken agreement.
Mia then happily held Aiden's hand, leading him upstairs.
"Mia, you and Dad are acting strange. What are you both talking about?" Aiden questioned after some thought, feeling Mia and Byron were hiding something big from him. Aiden generally didn't bother with other people's secrets, but this one had piqued his interest.
"You'll figure it out when you're older, Aiden," Mia replied, sounding wise beyond her years.
