Chapter 1388 Not Just a President's Wife

Everyone was filled with righteous indignation.

They prepared to fiercely confront the thugs called over by the businessman.

Zora found an excuse and drove to her family's hotel.

The Welding family's hotel is one of the largest on the island, with more than forty rooms.

The architecture was local in style, primarily made of stone and wood.

"Mom!"

Zora jumped out of the car and rushed inside.

"What's the matter?" A somewhat plump woman hurriedly greeted her. "Didn't you say another person had arrived? Did you meet them?"

"Yes," Zora replied with a stern face, "It's a woman. She looks fragile as if she could be broken easily. Her skin has a unique glow to it, but she's ruthless, different from the previous two!"

The previous two had always been reasonably polite, never confronting them directly, like wolves in sheep's clothing.

"A woman?" Zora's mother's face became tense. "What kind of woman? Do you know what her position is at Imbe Group?"

"I'm not sure. Liam calls her Mrs. Crawford. She probably holds a position higher than Liam, who is the vice president. Could it be the president who recently lost her husband?" Zora speculated. As Zora finished, her mother's legs gave way, and she nearly collapsed.

Zora immediately supported her. "Mom, what happened?"

"Nothing..." The woman was flustered, then firmly gripped Zora's hand. "Zora! They have already offered a lot of compensation. We can run the hotel somewhere else. It doesn't have to be here. Let's leave, and you should marry Alan as soon as possible. Our family can still live comfortably!"

"Mom!" Zora's face darkened. "What's wrong with you? This hotel was left by Dad. It's our home. I don't want money. I want what Dad left behind!"

"Listen to me!" The mother held her daughter's hand, her eyes filled with tears.

"Are you afraid of that woman surnamed Newton?" Zora sensed something. "Is she really that powerful?"

"Extremely," the woman said gravely, "She's not just a president's wife. She's also the heir to a major tycoon. She's always been ruthless, and I'm worried about you and Alan!"

"Who's extremely powerful?" A man's deep, pleasant voice came from inside.

Zora's mother was startled and quickly approached, pushing the man back. "Alan, there are many people outside now. Don't reveal yourself easily. If they know you're behind our strategies, you'll be in danger!' "Mom, be careful! Don't knock Alan over!" Zora said anxiously as she followed them inside.

The current weather on the island was among the most pleasant times of the year.

Athena stayed at the former island owner's private garden.

Her bedroom perfectly faced the Coral Sea.

It was incredibly beautiful there.

"Mrs. Crawford, the water quality here isn't good. I've brought a few boxes of the purified water which you usually drink." Liam busied himself.

"I'm not that delicate." Athena gazed at the sea. "I heard when he bought this island you were also there?"

Liam lowered his eyes, hiding the sudden redness in them.

"Yes, I was there." he paused. "Coincidentally, Mr. Crawford was in this room. Where you're standing now is where he decided to buy this place."
