Chapter 1296 A Series of Annihilations

The meeting was scheduled on the day Annie was discharged from the hospital.

Annie arrived at the Imbe Building with her team at around ten o'clock with a slightly pale complexion.

"Miss Annie Ross, you still look a bit unwell. If I had known about today's meeting, I would have postponed it for a couple of days," Athena said with great concern upon seeing Annie.

Annie's expression showed some worry. "I also wanted to meet you and Mr. Crawford, so I came. If there are any issues, there's no need for my assistant to report them to me again. We can solve them immediately."

Athena looked over at Annie.

The last time, the assistant was from Mailand, but now, she was a blonde with blue eyes, appearing more refined than the previous one.

Annie seemed to notice Athena's gaze and smiled, saying, "Geroge's arm was seriously injured, so I decided to give him an extended leave to spend Christmas with his parents."

Athena replied, "I visited him the other day, and his wound was severe. He needs a good rest. Let's start the meeting first and chat afterward."

Athena noticed Annie seemed much more anxious during the lengthy meeting than last time.

After more than four hours, they managed to resolve some fundamental issues.

"After this meeting, we won't see each other until after Christmas. I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous year ahead," Athena said gently to the three parties' colleagues. Everyone exchanged warm greetings and good wishes.

Everyone joined in and felt very happy.

Annie and her new assistant exchanged a few words, and then the assistant stood up and led the Ross family out of the conference room.

Byron looked at Annie and asked, "Miss Annie Ross, is there something else you'd like to discuss?"

Annie glanced at Byron and Athena before saying, "Did your media voluntarily expose the destruction of the two families as rumored online? Are they affiliated with you?"

"Yes, they are associated with me," Byron responded coldly, not saying much and waiting to know what Annie had to say.

"I want to show you something," Annie said, taking an iPad from her briefcase and opening the photo album before pushing it toward Athena.

"Whose family photo is this?" Athena asked, glancing at it.

Annie nodded solemnly. "Mr. Crawford, take a look. There are people you know in there too."

Byron's expression turned serious as he took the iPad.

"Is he your father's lawyer?" he pointed to the tall man in the center.

"Yes. When we arranged the marriage, this man and your legal team were in contact," Annie paused.

"Miss Annie Ross, why are you showing us this?" Athena had a faint idea of what Annie was getting at.

Annie continued saying with fear, "A year ago, their entire family was annihilated. They died like the 27-member annihilation case, frozen in a refrigerated truck."

Athena furrowed her brow slightly and looked at Byron.

Byron was also looking at her.

"Not just this family," Annie gestured for Athena to continue scrolling.

Another family photo appeared.

"This family died in a plane crash, and the whole family was lost."

There was another family photo.

"This family died in a fire, also with no survivors."

Athena turned serious.

Looking through the previous photos, Athena was surprised to find yet another one.

"This family was electrocuted to death in a swimming pool."
