Chapter 1275 Cold-hearted?

Two days later.

The result of the final exam was shown.

Aiden, as expected, ranked first in the grade with a total score close to perfect, surpassing the second-place student by more than seventy points.

As for Mia...

Though she didn't rank last, compared with her brother, she was not so good.

When Mia received her report card, her head drooped down.

Byron and Athena came to the school together, which was rare. This was because Byron had donated an art center to the school. The principal felt particularly friendly towards him. But in fact, Byron just wanted his daughter to have a place at school where she could enjoy painting.

A dedicated art studio was set up for her there.

"As for Mia's grades... She needs some extra effort during the winter break." After the principal looked at Mia's report card, she found it hard to comment on it.

"Paul!"

At that moment, Mia, with her head hanging low, suddenly looked forward and exclaimed with excitement.

The three adults, who were talking, turned their heads in the direction of her gaze.

Paul was a little embarrassed.

He approached them, saying, "Mr. Crawford, Mrs. Crawford, Director."

"Did Paul rank first again?" Athena asked gently.

Paul nodded.

The principal proudly chimed in, saying, "This boy may be naughty usually, but his grades are unquestionably good. If only he went on an exchange program for a year, his grades would be even better. What a waste to let others have such a great opportunity!"

The director was still complaining that it was a pity that Paul didn't join the exchange program.

Just then, Paul's gaze fell on Mia's report card.

Then he frowned.

Whenever he passed by her classroom, he saw her attentively listening to the teachers.

Why did she score so few points?

"Paul, I heard from the Director that you tutor other students. Is that true?" Athena noticed his eyes and recalled what she had promised Mia, so she asked him.

"You mean the son of the restaurant keeper. I will help them with homework when I'm free," Paul replied.

"Can you spare some time to help Mia with her studies? She didn't grow up in Mailand, so she focuses more on painting and struggles a bit with academics," Athena asked.

"Right, right! Paul, can you be my tutor? My deskmate said you're really good at explaining problems. Whenever her brother doesn't understand something, he goes to you instead of the teachers because you explain better than them!" Mia's beautiful eyes sparkled, showing her anticipation.

"Aiden is better than me," Paul replied.

"Aiden is amazing, but I don't understand when he explains some questions," Mia honestly said.

Aiden was a talented student.

For simple math problems, he could figure out the answers at a glance.

Calculating steps and explanations were almost unnecessary to him.

Paul wanted to refuse.

However, he glanced at Mia's report card.

He hesitated.

With such poor grades, how would she ever get into college?

Regular colleges might accept students with the help of their parents' money, but what about top-tier institutions?

"I'll check my schedule." Paul lowered his eyes.

"Great!" Athena smiled and nodded. "I'll be waiting for your response."

"Okay," Paul replied, nodding slightly before walking towards the school gate.

The director shook his head and sighed, "This boy... he's been hurt too much by his own family. No wonder he seems so cold-hearted."

"Cold-hearted?" Athena looked at Paul's receding figure. "I think he's quite warm-hearted."

He saved people.

He also helped the son of the restaurant keeper with his studies.

And now he was willing to help Mia catch up on her studies.

Also, he willingly gave up his chance to go on an exchange program for someone else.

Regarding the matter of studying abroad...

Athena had someone look into it.
