Chapter 1256 Stubborn Brat

The teacher carefully went through the test papers.

"This is the test for the second semester of the second grade, right? She answered most of the questions correctly."

"I'm wondering if we can base the entrance exam on the curriculum of the second half of the third grade."

"In theory, it is possible. I will arrange it, and you can have her take the entrance exam in a few days." The teacher looked through the papers again.

Ottilie did well on the science subjects.

Evaluation for her humanities subjects were put on hold due to her poor handwriting.

"Okay." Athena nodded. "What's the situation with Paul? Does he not want to go to Lozangler City because of his family's financial situation?"

"He has a full scholarship that covers living expenses... The teachers have discussed it, and if he doesn't have enough money, we'll pool money together for him! I have a relative who lives near the school where he'll be attending and who is willing to be his foster family for the year. This stubborn child just refuses to go, and he won't tell us why! It's driving me crazy."

"Paul is lucky to have a teacher like you," Athena said sincerely.

Paul's teacher did a better job than a lot of parents.

"He really has the potential, and I don't want it to go to waste!"

"But at his age, his own wishes are also important. When he gets older, he will have opportunities to apply to the best institutions when it's time for him to go to high school and university."

"Geez... if he doesn't want to go, I can only console myself with that! He's such a stubborn brat!" The teacher was infuriated and annoyed.

Around the same time, the exam was over.

Mia, a laidback child, wasn't about to fight her way through the crowd on her way home.

So, she waited until most people left before heading downstairs, chatting with her classmates.

As she passed by the swimming pool, she saw a familiar figure.

"Paul!" she exclaimed excitedly.

Paul was tying his shoelaces and glanced in her direction.

Mia ran over, full of enthusiasm.

"Are you coming to my house during the winter holidays?"

Paul didn't reply immediately as he wondered, "Why is she always so direct?"

"I'm busy," he answered.

Right away, Mia looked crestfallen. "Okay..."

"Did you do well in the exam?" Paul asked.

Mia bit her lip and pondered for a moment. "I think I did pretty well."

"Okay. I'm leaving now," Paul said and turned to leave.

"Goodbye, Paul."

Hearing that, Paul tightened his grip on the bag in his hand and returned to her.

"That sister of yours doesn't seem easy to get along with. Don't always be like a pushover. If she bullies you, tell your mother, okay?"

Mia looked bewildered.

"Sister? Do I have a sister?" she thought.

"You look silly!" Paul was irritated by how empty-headed she was.

"I'm a good fighter! Nobody can bully me!" Mia said seriously.

She wondered if Paul thought she was weak after witnessing her getting kidnapped.

In fact, she could knock down her father while practicing boxing.

"Says who?" Paul cried.

After that, he noticed Athena approaching with Ottilie, so he wheeled around and left.

Mia was feeling confused for a moment.

When she turned and saw Athena, a bright smile immediately bloomed on her face.

"Mommy!"

She ran over to Athena with joy.

When she reached Athena, she noticed a girl who she didn't know standing behind Athena.

The girl was observing her intently, looking serious, like she was studying some strange animal.

Ottilie had heard Mia's voice before.

It was very pleasant, and she sounded like the kitten she had rescued.

"Darling, this is Ottilie," Athena introduced. "Ottilie, this is Mia."

"You're so cute," Ottilie said right after Athena's introduction, her tone serious and solemn.
