Chapter 1232 Lingering Resentment

"What's the connection between such two children with him? Why did he resort to such ruthless methods?" Martin asked in shock.

He had initially assumed the intruder was merely there to sabotage the art exhibition or perhaps target the adults.

But he never expected that this person had come to take the lives of Mia and Aiden!

"Simon has gone mad!" Dorian frowned as he said, "He said he would sacrifice a child to mourn for his ex-wife's baby."

Athena's expression darkened further.

"Speaking of which, Ottilie is the most innocent victim in this matter! This is your feud, isn't it? It has nothing to do with us!" Dorian shouted in anger.

"You're hilarious," Athena sneered. "How do you have the audacity to claim to be a top assassin? If you were really that capable, instead of harming my children, you should go and deal with Simon to save your own child."

Dorian suddenly froze.

She was right!

He had indeed overlooked that option.

"Release me now, and I'll go to get even with him right away!" Dorian hastily said.

"Do I look like someone who believes everything you say?" Athena glanced at him. "I will have my people investigate. If what you said is true, I'll give you a chance to seek revenge against Simon." After saying that, Athena left immediately.

"What's going on?" Evie rushed over.

Evie was also present when they discovered the issue with the chandelier yesterday.

Knowing that Martin had caught the person, she hurried over.

"He said it was Simon," Athena replied coldly.

Evie was momentarily confused. "Simon? Who's that? Do I know him?"

"Freya's ex-husband."

Instantly, Evie felt her body almost trembling.

"Pardon?"

With a sullen face, Athena strode forward.

"Simon sent this man to kill Aiden and Mia, claiming to mourn for Freya's child," Athena said, filled with hatred just from repeating the words.

"What?" Evie was shocked. "Is he crazy? Freya abandoned that child herself, and she was killed by her own brother. What does it have to do with you and your children?" "Perhaps he is indeed crazy," Athena said solemnly.

"What should we do now?" Evie asked.

"I will verify this matter first. If it's indeed Simon's doing, no matter his reasons, he won't get away with it," Athena declared.

"Agreed!" Evie nodded forcefully. "We can't let this lunatic get away with it!"

Evie had always believed that there was no need to hold grudges against someone dead.

But when it came to Freya, she had no choice.

This woman had done so much harm while alive.

Now she caused trouble even after her death, threatening Aiden's and Mia's lives.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ocean, Simon held Freya's urn in his arms.

His golden curls were tangled and messy from not being washed for too long.

His once charming blue eyes were now lifeless as he stared at a phone lying on the ground.

Didn't people say that Dorian was the most formidable assassin?

It had been so long.

And Dorian couldn't even kill a child!

Simon wouldn't dispose of Byron before his children died.

He needed to observe Byron's suffering carefully before letting him die to vent his anger.

He didn't know how long he had been waiting until the phone finally vibrated.

Simon hurriedly rushed over and picked up the phone.

However, as he saw the message, the hope in his eyes instantly vanished.
