Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 408

As Erick left, Raegan turned to Nicole, asking, "Nicole, could you help me out for a moment?"
Nicole, intrigued by Raegan's words, asked, "What's wrong?"
After hearing Raegan's explanation, Nicole took a moment to reflect and sighed. "It seems like you're destined to cross paths with him, right?"
Raegan's confusion was evident as she listened to Nicole. "Nicole, do you know Mitchel?"
It seemed to Raegan that Nicole knew more about Mitchel than she did. Sometimes it was hard for him to know exactly what kind of person Mitchel was.
"That? Interested in him? » Nicole said, scoffing slightly.
Raegan's cheeks turned pink. "No, not really." However, understanding Mitchel better could be beneficial for her.
Aside from Lauren, Mitchel has not been linked to any other women. He seemed quite upright. However, his current dealings with Lauren suggest a possible misunderstanding of the past. "If he's being so harsh on Lauren now, maybe he didn't have affection for her in the past."
Reflecting on Janey, Nicole had harbored doubts about Janey's origins for some time.
Despite the Foster family's impeccable work with Janey's parents' claim, Janey's facial features bore a resemblance to Mitchel. Just because Janey's eyes mirrored Raegan's, this resemblance went unnoticed.
Turning to Raegan, Nicole suggested, "There may be some misunderstanding between you and Mitchel." "It wouldn't hurt to try to understand him better."
If Mitchel's past actions toward Lauren were wrong, there might still be room for forgiveness.
After all, loving parents would be good for Janey's education. Aware of Janey's desire for her father, Nicole had come to terms with her own lack of prospects for happiness, although she wanted Raegan and Janey to find joy and fulfillment. Nicole quickly devised a strategy. He got a nurse outfit for Raegan.
With the nurse's hat, mask, and glasses, Raegan was completely disguised.
As expected, Victor didn't recognize Raegan on the way out.
Nicole did the same, closing the door behind them and advising Victor: “Raegan is resting. Let's not bother her.
Victor accepted his instructions.
Once outside, Nicole walked Raegan to the parking lot before heading somewhere else.
Nicole's vehicle stopped in front of a restaurant.
Upon entering, Nicole did not notice a man who brushed past her and returned his gaze.
Nicole walked to a chamber and opened the door.
The man who was following Nicole peeked through the crack in the door and saw a man with a defined profile inside.
After Nicole closed the door, the man picked up his phone to make a call. "Mr. Schultz, I have located Miss Lawrence."
A pause filled the other end of the line.
Then, with his jaw clenched, Alec announced, "She's having dinner with another man."
In the secluded room, a man was sitting at the head of the table. He wore a white shirt, with the sharp collar carefully surrounding his pronounced Adam's apple, subtly highlighted by the placement of the buttons. His cold and distant attitude was softened by a strict, almost ascetic discipline. Its appearance was impeccable and intact.
As Nicole entered, the distance in her behavior disappeared without a trace. A warm smile illuminated her perfect face.
“Nicole,” he greeted, taking the coat she had just taken off and hanging it carefully.
“Have you been waiting long?” Nicole asked.
"At all. “I just got here myself,” Roscoe replied.
Once seated, Roscoe gestured for the meal to begin. The food was served immediately and they began to chat animatedly.
Nicole, who had a special predilection for deep-sea fish, took two more pieces, attracted not by the flavor but by its soft, tender texture.
Roscoe, noticing, changed her plate to one with stomach-friendly vegetables, gently reprimanding her: “Nicole, you shouldn't be picky about your food. “Eat this first and then you can have another piece of fish.”
Since Nicole's operation, Roscoe had encouraged her to eat a variety of nutritious foods. I knew that denying him the foods he liked would only lower his mood and appetite.
Nicole obediently ate the vegetables, despite their lack of flavor, finishing each bite.
Roscoe smiled and suggested, “Nicole, maybe you should consider putting your company under the auspices of my uncle's firm. “It operates in a part of Ardlens that often goes unnoticed.”
Nicole shook her head. "Roscoe, let's not talk about this anymore," he insisted.
Nicole stood by her decision not to involve Roscoe further. Your help so far was more than enough. It seemed unfair to impose more on him.
Roscoe rarely questioned Nicole's decisions. At his rejection, a shadow of disappointment briefly crossed his face. "Okay, but for the specific tasks at hand, I will arrange for my uncle's trusted assistant to help you."
“Roscoe, I really don't need…” Nicole started to protest.
"Nicole, I must insist on this matter," Roscoe interrupted, reaching across the table to take it, his eyes seriously conveying his desire to quickly resolve the problem.
Nicole's hand remained motionless, her gaze lowered. Roscoe's hand was as perfect and attractive as his entire being. His own hands and feet, always cold, found a comforting warmth in his touch, a balm for his spirit. However, it was this same warmth that made her reluctant to entangle Roscoe in the complexities and unpleasantness of her problems.
Nicole pushed her hand away firmly, ignoring the fleeting look of disappointment in Roscoe's eyes. «Roscoe, I want to take care of this alone. Could you take care of…? His voice cracked, leaving the name unsaid. Her eyes filled with tears as she expressed her deep gratitude: “I am very grateful to you.”
Roscoe's response was almost imperceptible. «Nicole, Austin is fine, better than you think, and stronger than you think. When we find a good partner, I'm sure it will improve. Focus on your goals.
Nicole lowered her head, her hands covering her face as she cried softly. "Thank you... Thank you very much," he whispered, his voice breaking with emotion. She was grateful that Roscoe had kept Austin from seeing the flaws in her. I felt like I wasn't a good mother.
