The nurse explains: “We have re-evaluated the findings. The patient does not show signs of infectious disease. The initial test was inaccurate. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

“Is that so?” Rhett’s response was nonchalant, his demeanor unwavering.

Even the nurse was surprised by Rhett's poise. "Absolutely, sir. His initial examination indicated normalcy. He has the option of seeking confirmation at another medical facility, with all expenses covered by us."

“Understood,” Rhett said.

The nurse repeatedly apologized, aware of the potential damage such an incident could inflict on the hospital's reputation. By failing to intercept the intoxicated patient in time, the hospital incurred a degree of liability, exposing others to danger.

Fortunately, it was eventually discovered that the poisoned patient was not a carrier, but the initial positive test result left everyone perplexed. Despite extensive investigation, the cause remained elusive.

"We sincerely apologize for the distress caused. It was our mistake," the nurse said.

“Understood,” Rhett replied.

After the call, Rhett picked up his work ID and looked in the back, where there was a photo of a captivating woman. He then tenderly pressed the photo against his cheek, murmuring:

«Frida, have you witnessed that? Even the heavenly forces seem to favor me. Was it you? "Were you helping me?"

The woman in the photograph would certainly not recognize him. A single tear slipped from Rhett's eye, laden with deep pain.

At that moment, another mobile device that Rhett was carrying in his bag range.

Rhett looked at the incoming call and narrowed his gaze before answering decisively.

A voice, full of terror, came from the other end of the line. “Sir, I beg you to help me…”

Rhett asked, “Help you? How can I help you?”

After a brief pause, the woman on the other end of the line said, “I’m looking to leave the country.”

“Heh…” Rhett’s laughter abruptly turned sinister. “Haven’t you understood the lesson yet?”

“I have your secret. You must know that many people are asking about you. If I am arrested, your secret will be revealed,” the woman said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“You’ve gotten a bit clever,” Rhett commented.

"I am in a difficult situation. I apologize. If you provide me with funds, I solemnly promise to leave the country and never return."

Rhett considered for a moment, seeming to contemplate. After a brief pause, he asked slowly, “What sum do you require?”

"I need fifty million," the woman quickly explained. "I have to live abroad. Without fifty million, my existence will be in danger."

Rhett's tone turned icy as he said, "My schedule is pretty tight right now. Meet me at the port in two afternoons."

“No, that won't do!” The woman was wary. “I think a meeting is unnecessary. “Just leave the money somewhere, and I’ll get it back.”

Rhett laughed. “Very well, I will drop you off at the port and inform you later of the appointed time.”
