Chapter 1247:

Doreen continued talking, seemingly unable to contain herself.
Suddenly, Nicole raised her hand and slapped Doreen.
“A slap!” The crisp sound made Doreen's ear tingle painfully. It took her a moment to respond before she touched her numb face, shock evident on her features.
“You… you’ve lost your mind!” Doreen had never thought Nicole would actually hit her. She saw her as fragile and meek, someone easily intimidated, one who would cave in to a man's pressure.
Doreen was very wrong.
Nicole had always been resilient and determined, from her early days until now. She would have crumbled under the pressure if she wasn't emotionally strong. She refused to give in to Jarrod's plans.
From the beginning, Nicole was determined to prove Jarrod wrong.
“Miss Schultz, that slap was revenge for you,” Nicole declared. “My son is not unruly. If he has problems with things between Jarrod and me, he should hear them from Jarrod before accusing me. I won’t take your advice, but if there is slapping…”
Nicole paused, her eyes hard. “I’ll reciprocate.”
Nicole was convinced that she wouldn't cause any trouble as long as no one bothered her. But if Doreen played dirty, she was ready to retaliate. She wasn't alone now, and she had to stand her ground, so that those trying to boss her around would realize that they couldn't just walk all over her.
Doreen stood, stunned by Nicole's words, unable to speak.
Meanwhile, Roscoe remained unmoved. As he saw it, Nicole had made things clear and had not slapped Doreen for no reason.
Everyone had to face the consequences of their actions, even if that person was his girlfriend.
Those were the rules of the world, and although Roscoe didn't remember much, the idea of the rules remained firmly in his mind.
“You cheap woman, stop right there. Don’t go.” Doreen finally snapped and stormed up the steps to confront Nicole. She had never faced such humiliation in public before!
Rhett stepped in to stop Doreen.
Doreen pushed him away angrily, screaming, “Get out of my way, lackey!”
Rhett frowned. He was no stranger to dealing with spoiled, arrogant young girls. Raised in wealth, they often ignored the laws, acting in reckless and dictatorial ways. Doreen seemed to be the type who enjoyed causing trouble and bullying others.
Rhett quickly pulled out a business card and handed it to Doreen, saying firmly, "Miss, I represent Miss Lawrence. You may reserve the right to hold Miss Lawrence accountable for the slap."
Doreen's face softened at his words. “You're right. “I’ll make sure this woman pays for what she did!” he said arrogantly, sounding as if he could control the security services and have anyone he disliked impressed.
Nicole kept her composure. Although she hadn't known Rhett for long, Raegan's strong recommendation made him seem trustworthy. In their interactions, she found Rhett to be genuinely honest and professional.
In fact, the next moment, Rhett coldly stated: “Miss, you are fully within your rights to take legal action against my client. However, I must inform you that your behavior in public, including insulting, humiliating, lying, and intimidating, constitutes multiple illegal acts. “I have recorded all of this as evidence, and we reserve the right to take legal action against you.”
Doreen was speechless.
Rhett continued, “Furthermore, my client mentioned slapping you back, suggesting that you had slapped her first. I will legally obtain surveillance footage to confirm today's events. Furthermore, your false accusations have caused significant psychological harm to my client and damaged her reputation, creating civil liability. “We will pursue this matter legally.”
