Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1468: Boredom is the only way to enter a competition.
Stephen rushed into the study, clutching his exercise book, and called crisply, "Dad."
Marcos looked up and his eyebrows instantly softened, even his voice went soft, "What's wrong?"
"I have a question I can't ask, can Dad teach me?".
Esteban was worried that he would interrupt his work.
"Sure." Marcos held out his hand, "Teach daddy."
Esteban was delighted and hurriedly spread the workbook on the table, pointing to a question and saying, "This one I don't know how to do."
Marcos glanced at the question, picked up a pen and wrote on the paper.
Esteban watched him carefully.
Paulina walked in and saw a little boy and a big boy, both with serious faces, the light falling on those similar eyebrows, and she couldn't help but curl the corners of her lips. These two parents, even their expressions were the same.
She approached them cautiously and her head spun again as she saw the dragon handwriting on the eraser.
She knew all the numbers, but together, she didn't.
Seeing that Esteban was reading very carefully, Paulina asked, "Esteban, do you know how to read?"
At the sound of her voice, Esteban looked at her with big, grape-black eyes, unusually bright: "Yes! I can read it."
"Really?"
Although she knew he was smart, Paulina was a little surprised that he could read Marcos' solution.
"There." Marcos finished solving the problem and turned his head to look at Esteban, the corners of his mouth curved slightly. "Is there anything you don't understand?" Esteban didn't hesitate to point to one of the equations and said, "Not here."
Marcos patiently explained and asked again in a warm voice, "Do you understand?"
Esteban nodded, "Yes."
Marcos looked over the other questions and found that much of it was done and the answers were all correct.
"Did you do them all yourself?" asked Marcos.
Esteban nodded, "Yes."
"Why did you want to do the Olympiad questions?".
"Because I'm competing in the Olympiad next week."
Hearing such a serious answer, Paulina asked curiously, "You don't finish and say I was bored asking the questions?"
"It was boring." Esteban said, "I entered the contest because I was bored."
Paulina couldn't help but laugh out loud, "The professor would be disappointed to hear you say that."
What kind of person enters a quiz out of boredom.
"I know most of the questions and it was boring." Esteban said with a bored look on his face.
"You could have picked a deeper topic to work on." Marcos suggested.
"That's what I thought." Esteban closed his exercise book, chin raised in a slightly smug manner. "But there's no need to do too deep a topic for this competition." Like father, like son.
All equally sure of themselves.
Esteban went back to his room to continue working on the OU topic and Paulina looked at Marcos and exclaimed, "Esteban has inherited your IQ, he's very smart." Although she wasn't bad at reading, she was still small compared to them and couldn't compete at all.
"You're not stupid either." teased Marcos with a smile.
"Of course I'm not stupid." Paulina shot him a nasty look, "If I were stupid, how could you see me?".
"The person I want is you." Marcos motioned for her to come closer.
Paulina obeyed and approached him.
Just as she reached him, there was a sudden squeeze at his waist and the next moment she fell into his lap.
The smell of his freshness enveloped her.
A faint blush tinged her white face and even her heart beat faster.
Mark wrapped his arms around her and his soft voice rang in her ear, "Remember, I love you and it has nothing to do with whether you're smart or not." "I know."
Paulina tilted her head and kissed him softly on the lips, looking into his deep dark eyes, her red lips curved. "I love you too."
The dark eyes moved with a ghostly glow as Mark grabbed the back of her neck and kissed her on the lips.
All four lips pressed together.
Paulina closed her eyes slowly, feeling every inch of his breath.
Only after a long moment did Mark pull away from her lips, his forehead resting on hers, his thin lips half-open, "Sometime later, I'll take you and the boy on a trip." His voice was husky and low, with an enchanting sensuality.
Paulina just felt her ears tickle and she lifted the corners of her mouth, "Yes."
And then she jumped off his lap, "I'm going to go check on the kids."
With that, she ran out of the studio in a desperate manner, and looking behind her, Mark couldn't help but tickle the corners of her mouth.
...
The business matter was resolved and the melancholy that had hung over The Leoz family for several days had finally dissipated.
"It's been days since MarcosAlvaro has come home for breakfast."
Mrs. Gloria is relieved to see her two sons sitting in the dining room first thing in the morning.
Alvaro takes a sip of milk and asks with a smile, "Mom, isn't it touching to see you again after so long?"
His description makes Mrs. Gloria laugh, "It's been a day since I've seen you."
She put a fried egg on Marcos' plate, "Eat more. You've lost a lot of weight in the last few days with all the work you've done."
Marcos smiled at his mother and said nothing.
It was Alvaro who called out, "Mom, where's mine?"
"Here." Mrs. Gloria also gave him an omelet, "It's been a hard few days for you too."
"They're not hard, not hard at all." Alvaro took a bite of the tortilla and chewed as he said, "I'm part of The Leoz family, it's what I have to do."
"Since you're taking a few days off, spend some time with Bonita," said Mrs. Gloria, "she's pregnant these days and has to worry about you." Alvaro's smile deepened at the mention of Bonita, "Mom, I know."
Marcos finished the last sip of milk, grabbed a wet wipe and wiped his mouth, getting up, "Mom, I'm going to work."
"Brother, if you need anything from me, remember to call me." Alvaro turned his head and yelled at her.
"Stay home with Bonita," Marcos said without looking back.
Alvaro bristled and muttered, "It's kind of weird not being at work."
Mrs. Gloria heard him and couldn't help but laugh, "You workhorse." Alvaro smiled.
...
Marcos had just arrived at the office when Alfredo rushed in to report.
"Mr. Rodas has teamed up with Cris and the others."
Marcos' eyes narrowed and the corners of his mouth curved into a sneer. "A real partnership?"
