Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1467: Linda?
Passing a jewelry store, Paulina's attention was drawn to a pair of men's cufflinks in the window. She stopped and looked through the glass, her eyes locked on the pair of cufflinks for a moment.
The cufflinks had a cheesy name.
Time to Go.
But the style was gorgeous.
Round in shape, with a circle of broken diamonds and a blue diamond in the center, they sparkled brightly in the light. It was totally a sight to behold.
I was going to buy it!
Paulina pulled Mark into the store and was immediately greeted by the enthusiastic sales clerk.
"Welcome, what can I get you ladies and gentlemen?"
"I would like those cufflinks." Paulina pointed to the blue diamond cufflinks displayed in the window.
"You have a good eye, madam, and these cufflinks are a limited edition." The salesgirl walked over to the cufflinks.
"The blue diamonds set in them have a lovely hue, even the purity of the crushed diamonds surrounding them is very high." Paulina took the cufflinks in her hand and looked at them left and right, delighted.
"I like them very much." Paulina smiled at the sales clerk and tilted her head towards Marcos, "I'll buy them for you, okay?". Marcos raised his eyebrows, "For me?".
"Uh-huh." Paulina nodded, "The name of this pair of twins is 'When the time comes', it has a very good meaning, I wish you the best and peace in the future." Emotion instantly flooded her and Marcos smiled, "Good, I love them."
"You have to like it." Paulina raised her chin arrogantly, "It's from me." Mark's smile escaped her, his face handsome and full of affection. "Could you wrap it up please?". Paulina handed the clerk the cufflinks. "Just a moment, please."
As the clerk wrapped the cufflinks, Marcos led Paulina around the store.
Suddenly, Marcos stopped in front of a cupboard.
"What is it?" Paulina followed his gaze and looked at the bracelets on display in the store.
"A gift." Marcos turned his head to look at her, "Pick one you like."
Paulina understood what he meant and let out a laugh, joking, "Mr. Ken you don't need to be so polite. But..."
She turned her words around, "If you want to give it to me, how can I refuse?"
Seeing her playful and sympathetic look, Mark couldn't help the smile at the corners of his mouth deepening a few notches, and his eyes became more and more gentle. Paulina looked around and there were several sympathetic ones.
Not wanting to dwell on them, she looked at Mark and said with a smile, "You can help me pick one. As long as it's one you pick, I like it."
"Fine."
Marcos chose a blue diamond bracelet, "Put it on and see."
"You put it on me." Paulina held out her hand.
Marcos smiled softly and helped her put the bracelet on.
The bracelet's unique design made Paulina's slender white wrist look even better.
It also had blue diamonds and, at first glance, resembled a pair of cufflinks she had given Marcos.
"This is the one." Marcos made up his mind right away.
Paulina looked at the bracelet on his wrist, smiled and complimented him, "Mr. Ken has a very good eye, I like it very much." "As long as you like it."
The sales clerk came over, "Ma'am, do I have to wrap it for you?".
Paulina shook her head, "No, I'll wear it."
"Okay."
After paying the bill, Mark and Paulina walked out of the jewelry store holding hands, as sweetly as a couple in love.
Dusk was sinking in, the streetlights were lit and the streets were crowded.
"Do you want to keep shopping or go home?" asked Marcos.
"I'll think about it." Paulina looked around and was about to answer when suddenly a familiar figure crashed into her eyes. Linda?
It was a mistake to look at her.
She blinked hurriedly to get a better look, but the person had disappeared.
A thin brow furrowed, had he really made a mistake?
"What's wrong?" asked Marcos with concern, noticing that she didn't look well.
Paulina ordered her thoughts and curved her lips into a smile, "Nothing. We're going home after dinner, okay?"
"Okay, whatever you say."
Marcos took her by the hand and walked towards a Japanese restaurant.
Paulina looked over to where she had just seen Linda, where people were coming and going, but there was no Linda.
She looked away and smiled to herself.
Linda had been abroad for so many years, how could she be here?
Besides, if she was really back, there couldn't be any news.
Meanwhile, inside a tent not far away, Linda heaved a long sigh of relief.
She had been so scared.
She had been out with Chris for a while, but had run into Paulina and the others by chance.
She was so close that Paulina had seen her.
If they had seen her, everything they had done would have been for nothing.
When she had calmed down, Linda said, "Let's try not to go out in the future."
Chris's eyes showed a glint of displeasure, "Are you going to hide like that for the rest of your life?"
"Hide?" Linda snorted, "I'm not hiding. I just don't want our plan to fail because of me, understand?"
"Understood, of course I understand. I just don't want to see you like this, kind of smothering." In the end, Chris was heartbroken for her.
Linda squeezed his hand, "Ming, as long as our plan works, it's okay to suffer a little."
She didn't want to show her face, but only because she didn't want Mark to know she was back.
Although he might not remember her now that he had lost his memory.
But to avoid too much trouble, it was better not to show her face if she could.
"Well, they're gone now, let's go out."
Linda led Chris out into the street where people were coming and going, Paulina and the others were long gone.
...
Back at home, Paulina chatted with Mrs. Gloria and went upstairs to check on the two boys.
She went into Esteban's room and saw him sitting at his desk, writing and drawing on paper with special care.
As she approached, she realized he was working on an Olympiad topic.
She glanced at the questions and felt her head spinning.
That topic was something she was completely unfamiliar with.
"Esteban, why are you thinking about practicing OU?" asked Paulina in amazement.
Even though he was very smart, some of the topics were still over the top and not at all for a kid his age.
"Out of boredom."
What a simple reason.
The corners of Paulina's mouth twitched, not knowing what to say for a moment.
"Mami, I don't know this question, can you teach it to me?". Esteban pulled out the question he had marked and turned his head to look at her. He had an expectant look on his face.
Paulina smiled awkwardly, "Esteban, do you have any misconceptions about Mommy?"
"Huh?" Esteban's little head tilted, not understanding what she meant.
Paulina took a deep breath and reached out to rub his head, "I know you must think Mom is great at asking questions like this. But..."
She scrunched up her face, "I can't do it."
Esteban said, "Oh," and asked, "Is Dad back?"
Paulina nodded, "Yes."
"Then I'll go ask Dad."
Esteban took the exercise book and ran out.
Paulina stayed in the same place and couldn't help but feel, "Having a genius child is also a happy burden."
