Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1362: The Sheep in the Tiger's Mouth

It was four shades of twilight when the family of four arrived home.

Paulina had just entered the house and was still changing her shoes in the basement when she heard a familiar voice. "I'm feeling better, I've just been spending time with my dad and that's why I haven't been back to J-Town." It was mom!

Paulina changed her shoes much faster and took a big step into the living room.

As expected, she saw Agustina and Mrs. Gloria sitting on the living room couch, talking.

"Mom!" she shouted in surprise.

Hearing their voices, Agustina and Mrs. Gloria turned their heads toward her at the same time.

At the sight of her, Agustina's face broke into a smile, "You're back."

"Grandma!"

Esteban and Sweety quickly ran and jumped into Agustina's arms.

"Good girl." Agustina smiled as she put an arm around the little girl.

"Mom, what brings you here all of a sudden?" asked Paulina with a smile as she walked over.

"I miss you, of course." replied Mrs. Gloria for Agustina.

Paulina looked at her mother, who was still a little pale, although she had recovered quite a bit.

The thought of her coming alone from Kyoto to J-town made Paulina suddenly feel guilty. "Mom, I'm sorry I haven't called you all this time."

It was true that she had neglected her mother because of what had happened with Marcos.

Agustina smiled and shook her head softly, "No need to apologize, Mom knows you're busy. That's why I came to see you, and the baby." Having said that, she looked at Marcos and said with concern, "Marcos, how are you now?"

"All good." Marcos replied.

Agustina nodded reassuringly, "That's good."

"Mom, how about you, is your health okay?" Paulina worried, "Why didn't you tell us you were coming to J-town so I could pick you up?"

It was a long way from Kyoto to J-Town, but she was afraid her body couldn't handle it.

"I'm fine." Agustina sketched a helpless smile, "Not as frail as you think."

"And Grandpa?" Paulina asked again.

"Your little uncles are taking care of him." Agustina took her by the hand and pulled her to her side and sat down. "You, on the other hand, why are you hiding something so serious from me?" Paulina froze at her mother's questioning and unconsciously looked at Mrs. Gloria.

Mrs. Gloria smiled apologetically, "I didn't know you hadn't told the mother of the in-laws and it slipped out."

"If I hadn't come today, I'm afraid I wouldn't have known that something so serious had happened to Marcos." Agustina grimaced and looked at her with mock disgust, "You're a girl who always tells the good news but not the bad." "Mom, I don't tell for fear of his health..."

Agustina sighed, "I know you do it for my sake, but I still want you to tell me everything, I don't want you to take on so much alone."

In the end, Agustina's heart still ached for her daughter.

It must have been hard for her daughter to think about the moment when Marcos had his accident.

Her heart ached.

"Mom, I'm sorry." Paulina's eyes were red, a fine mist covered them.

"Crying again, huh?" Agustina nudged her forehead, "You're so old and still such a crybaby."

At that, Paulina hurried to raise her hand to wipe away her tears and lifted her lips in a smile, "It's okay, I'm not going to cry."

Agustina smiled and patted her hand without another word.

...

Agustina stayed with The Leoz family and played with Esteban and Sweety every day with Mrs. Gloria, whose laughter could be heard from time to time.

Earlene's part of the family remained silent, but Marcos did not let his guard down and still arranged for Paulina and the two little ones to be protected. That day, Mrs. Gloria wanted to buy new clothes for the two little ones, thinking that the season was about to change.

"I'll go with you." said Agustina.

"Yes, it would be nice to have someone to go with me."

Mrs. Gloria readily agreed and hesitated a little, "But are you physically able?".

Agustina lost her smile, "My in-laws, I'm much better, I can still go shopping."

"Well then, we'll go together."

So the two went out together.

Marcos and Paulina didn't take it to heart, they merely urged the driver to drive more carefully.

Who knew that neither Mrs. Gloria nor Agustina would return home until after dark.

Mr. Juan called Mrs. Gloria several times, but there was no answer.

It was then that Mr. Juan realized something was wrong and hurried to call Marcos downstairs.

"Your mother and the girls are not back yet."

"Have they called?" asked Marcos.

"I called. No one answered." Mr. Juan always sensed something was wrong: "Could something have happened to them?" Marcos pondered for a moment and then asked, "Where's the driver, is he back yet?"

"Neither. He doesn't answer the phone even after calling."

"Dad, don't worry. I'll ask Eliazar to send someone to look for him." Marcos reassured his father and hurried upstairs.

Once back in his room, he quickly went to the bedside table and picked up the phone to call Eliazar.

Paulina saw that he didn't look well and asked worriedly, "Is something wrong?"

"Mom and the girls aren't back yet."

Marcos had just finished answering when the phone went off the hook and Eliazar's voice came.

"Great Prince.

"Eliazar, find out immediately where my mother and the girls have been today and where they are now. Inform me as soon as you have the results." "Yes."

Marcos hung up the phone, looking somewhat somber.

I hope it wasn't what he thought it was.

"What's going on?" asked Paulina.

Marcos turned his head to look at her, a hint of guilt floating in his eyes, "Paulina, I'm sorry, I was so focused on protecting you and the boys that I neglected mom and the girls." When he said that, Paulina immediately understood and her eyebrows tensed, "Are you saying that Earlene might be against Mom and the girls?"

Marcos pursed his lips and said nothing.

Silence meant acquiescence.

"No, no...," Paulina shook her head, not believing Earlene would be so ruthless as to go after her two eldest.

But in reality, she knew in her heart that Earlene would do anything crazy for Marcos.

"I'm going to save them." Paulina turned and ran out the door.

"Paulina!" Marcos ran after her and stopped her, "Paulina, don't worry, Eliazar is already looking for them and he'll hear from them soon."

"I can't wait, they are too old to endure this!" Paulina cried with anxiety.

Just the thought of Earlene's men taking two elderly people, how could she not be anxious?

"Paulina, listen to me, Mom and the girls will be fine." Mark gently reassured her, "I'll bring them home safe and sound."

Paulina shook her head, "No, I'll go get them, you stay home."

If it was true that Earlene had taken the two old men, it was only to force Marcos to show himself.

She could not do what she wanted.

Marcos looked helpless: "How are you going to save them? If you go there, you'll be like a sheep in a tiger's mouth, there's no return." "So what, we're just going to stay home and do nothing?"

"Sister-in-law, I'll go."

A voice suddenly rang out and Paulina and Marcos turned their heads to follow.

Only to see Alvaro walking, "I'll go is best."
