"I will send Molly away!" Finally, Richie spoke forcefully, "but I don't want to see anything bad happen to my son..." Mr. Deng felt embarrassed.

Molly was sitting in the corner of the restaurant by the window. She looked out with eager eyes and wondered how she would be able to leave the hospital. Yesterday she made an attempt to leave the hospital. But she didn't even get out of the ward when a nurse "politely" sent her back. At first, she thought it was because of her bad luck. Hiding in the dark, she secretly waited for another chance to escape. When she tried to go out again, the nurse was there to stop her again.

Not long after that, Brian was on the phone demanding to speak to her. She still remembered the terrified look in the nurse's eyes as she passed the phone to her...

"Molly, you still haven't recovered fully. Where do you want to go? Could you please stop struggling?" Brian's voice was low and husky. He seemed quite tired.

"I just wanted to go out for a walk..." Molly answered softly, "I'm feeling restless. I have stayed in the hospital for a long time. I want to go out for a while to see the busy streets that filled with New Year atmosphere."

Listening to her soft voice, Brian couldn't stay angry. He told her he was sorry to leave her on her own. He was just busy these days. He promised to accompany her to walk down the market places and see the streets after he dealt with a few things. He told her they could take the time to buy some things to decorate the villa.

Molly's heart melted and contracted at Brian's words. She just felt that Brian seemed to be acting strange these days. He didn't sound as indifferent as before. And his tone seemed to caress her. She had a feeling that he was ready to compromise... But why? Well, was it because she gave her eyes to Becky and he felt guilty for letting her do so?

She blamed herself for forgetting momentarily. Her heart was easily swayed when it came to Brian. Although she had made up her mind to leave him, deep inside she was still yearning for him... 'Molly Xia, wake up! Brian Long doesn't belong to you, he never did and he never will!' she berated herself quietly.

"Miss Xia," a gentle voice beside her interrupted her musings. She looked up and found the nurse holding out the phone to her. "It's Mr. Brian Long!"

Molly frowned slightly. She looked at the phone in her hand, wondering why Brian was calling her again. Pressing her lips together, she put the phone near her ears. There was silence on the other end. She waited for him to speak. After a while, she broke the silence by saying in a light voice, "Hello?"

"Mol..." Brian's deep voice came over the line, "I thought you would just keep silent and do not talk."

Molly frowned. "What's wrong?"

He was quiet again for a while and then he said in a mild tone, "I miss you so much..."

Molly's heart jerked on her chest when she heard his words. She was so stunned that she almost forgot to react.

Brian's soft laughter came through the telephone. She almost missed it because she was still in a daze. Then she heard Brian said slowly, "What did you do just now?"

She felt her cheek burning. She lowered her head as if he could see her. She answered, "I'm just sitting in the dining room."

"You are alone in a trance?" There was a hint of amusement in Brian's voice. Although he was asking her, he obviously knew the answer to his question. "What are you thinking about?" he asked softly, "are you thinking about me? Or are you thinking about how to leave me?" Molly froze. It was uncanny how Brian guessed her feelings, as if he was right there in the room reading her expressions. She answered quickly, "No, no. I wasn't thinking of anything."

There was a long silence at the other end. After a while, she heard Brian sigh before saying, "Mol, could you please wait for me for a few more days? Just a few days!"
